I watched both Merphy and Daniel was before they started with One Piece. I was thrilled when they both started reading One Piece almost simultaneously.
Though the Brook slander hurts my Soul (King), Daniel's reviews and opinions on One Piece are one of my favorites. His background in more traditional Fantasy novels and his background as an author gives him such a unique view when dissecting the core story of One Piece.
I like that Oda gave Brook more to do post time-skip especially in WCL. I liked him alot in Thriller Bark especially after his backstory but in the interest of full honesty for a stretch I found it hard not to see him as a bit awkward. To me at least we already had a swordsman (Zoro) and his panties gag was kind of just more Sanji perv stuff. Making him Soul King and leaning into his DF ability further made up for that a ton. Just my opinion of course :)
@@melissamarcott1059 Brook was hands-down the MVP of that arc Sanji was _great_ in WCI, but him reverting to his gross peeping BS in Wano was maybe my biggest disappointment since... well, basically any Sanji scene in Punk Hazard? it was like Oda spent 100+ chapters working a spatula to pry Sanji off the floor of my strawhat rankings, and _just_ when i started to think "okay, maybe he _can_ overtake Chopper some day" he went "nvm lol."
@Abrar @Abrar I think Dr. Kureha is the exception rather then the norm. Most people are considered old in their 60-70 like in ower world and becouse beside Dr. kureha whe didn't even see other characters approach her age probably most characters die in their 80s like in ower world. For me is simple. The Ope Ope's immortality operation was used on kureha. Otherwise statistically it makes no sense why in over 1000 chapters and in 936 named characters there is no one to even approach her age. I just checked and after her is Haredas the weather wizard that trained Nami and he is 97(44 years younger than kureha) after that Streaus 92, Clover 85, Tenguyama Hitetsu 81, Mother Carmel 80 etc. And it makes sense for the story becouse if Law need to use the operation there need to be someone to teach him how to use it. It's not like other techniques he cannot train with it becouse if he use it once he dies so whe don't even know if Law at this time knows how to make the operation.
@Abrar @Abrar By your logic you can give me a single example other than Kureha who is over 100 in 936 named characters. Who is it? There is no one. There are only 2 characters that are in the 90s and 3 that are in the 80s. In your 70s you are considered old in OP. White beard was called old man every time during Marineford and he was 72 and Garp and Sengoku already retired and are not in the 80s.Sengoku is 79. I'm not saying they are week you can be old and still be a force or nature.
Thriller Bark actually seeded a lot. We saw the legendary samurai, hero of Wano, Zoro got his katana that ended up being a national treasure that he traded for an even more powerful katana,Lola planted the seeds for whole cake island. We saw an ancient giant for the first time, not just any ancient giant but Oars the continent puller who's son we saw fight for Ace's life at Marineford, and I'm sure Oars will be brought up when we go to Elbaf. Plus got to see NIGHTMARE LUFFY!

@@calliopeshif7581 he's a villain, of course his actions aren't ok lol. I think the One Piece is the entire story of the void century. It's just One Piece of history. Based on what Roger said and how Oden wrote the diary it seems more likely the more I re-read it. There's probably also treasure but it's secondary. I think that there is also mention of the 'plan' that remained incomplete / failed due to some reason and can be re-executed by whoever finds this, with the help of Poseidon.

One piece is something that can make you laugh that tears break through your eyes but.... At the same time it can start a global WAR
Good point. It's also very likely that since Roger knew he couldn't complete this on his own in his own lifetime, that's why he sent others on the mission to find the One Piece. He wanted people to learn of the history of the world, but that only works on scholars like Robin, so he probably also threw treasure on top of that to really incentivize people to try to find it (so he probably left his treasure with the key to learning of the void century as secondary as you said).
I feel him on Brook but at the same time.. my mind changed completely. I used to HATE brook. I thought he was just a more quirky, yet less powerful zoro. His panty stuff made it weird because it felt like Oda was not sure who his character was and just gave him traits of other crew members. However, over time, especially after whole cake, Brook is now my favorite strawhat and I love all his character quirks. Although Yamato may end up taking that spot if she joins. Her personality is to die for 😁
From what I've heard, Brook's joke just doesn't translate well outside of Japanese. Japanese has various levels of politeness in their speech and Brook speaks very politely, so the joke is he's very politely asking something very inappropriate. Still a weak joke in my opinion compared to the other character jokes (Nami's greed, Zoro's sense of direction and one of my favorites, Franky saying he has something really impressive like heat seeking missiles, but then it just turns out he's doing that impressive thing by manually running after someone), but outside of the Laboon thing, Brook just really needed the development of the time skip to stand on his own and just TIME being on the crew. He doesn't stand well on his own, so he needed time to be part of the story and do things before we could connect with him.

Wow! A crossover event 😁 Have been following both their channels for some time now because of different interests and now we see them together!! All Hail One Piece 🙌🙌
Brook's rude/inappropriate comments and SKULL JOKE YOHOHO~ stuff makes a _lot_ more sense when you look at him as someone who spent 50 years stuck floating on a ship with the corpses of all his friends, and _lost his damn mind_ (but yeah, i could do without the panty stuff 🙄)
🤣 Seeing this comment mentioning Brook's long time of loneliness has myself thinking about how so many of my classmates from high school had been thinking that my mind + own positive POV toward life in-general was so very weird but my body did survive through so many serious medical operations like chemotherapy, radiotherapy + neurosurgery to fight the brain tumour as well as cancer that had been within my head during my first year within the local high school and there had been few times during the early 2010s when I did almost lose my own mind but I have always had my many family members + so many different friends support my own progress ever since so yeah big thanks for the memories! ✌️😎
While I feel like Thriller Bark did get a bit of a bad spot being stuck between Enies Lobby and Sabaody I also kind of feel it was the perfect place for it and it was in turn perfectly utilized for what it needed to be. It was basically a breather arc. We'd just gotten off of a hugely emotional arc and were about to head into a hugely emotional saga and Thriller Bark was just this relatively lighter in between arc. I think it was Oda just trying to do something fun before diving into something as big and serious as the lead up to Marineford. On top of that though there's also a lot that really happened upon reflection. Set up for Kaido, set up for Wano, new crew member, potential big world aspects with the shadowy figures in the mist, meeting Moria who likely is going to play some bigger role since it was very intentionally made clear that he escaped after Marineford, meeting Lola which helped set up Big Mom. For something that often gets referred to as filler there's an awful lot there to dig into. that goes on to tie into further parts of the show. Similar to how Skypiea was. Oda does like these small seemingly insignificant side stories that then go on to have major implications. About my only real criticism around it is a wish there was one more extra bit in between Thriller Bark and Sabaody just to give Brook a chance to bond with the crew a little more. It always seemed odd that he joins the crew then almost immediately after the crew gets separated and yet he has just as much investment as everyone else in returning. It's not necessarily unfounded given the events that did happen to set up his loyalty to the crew but it just would have been nice to see him get a little extra time to really attach to the crew before that particular kind of event.
I combined Liam and Danielle elvish swag by having a tattoo of me and my wife's wedding rings with the elvish script for "two rings to bind them" around them.

What if the one piece is a vault of the of the void kingdom, acting like a time capsule to ensure there culture lives on? So ton of gold, records, tech etc. Something for everyone
You whispering "dough-flamingo" into the microphone after he kept saying "doo-flamingo" cracked me up. It's like you don't want to correct him but feel a deep need to. I was saying it out loud to my screen too haha.
I still haven't gotten over the novelty of seeing Daniel and Merphy as guests for One Piece channel creators. It's such a blend of surreal, wholesome and exciting 😁
Upon a reread last year one difference in Wano compared to Dressrosa I noticed is single chapters are more focused. In Dressrosa it feels like Oda tries to advance every storyline in every chapter but in Wano most chapters stay in one place so it feels like each chapter has more significant things happening.
I wanna get the recent Luffy/Joyboy/Nika silhouette tattooed! You know the one from like 5 chapters ago with the moon and stuff. Its subtle enough that non anime fans wont make fun of you, but Iconic enough that every One Piece fan will know whats up. kinda like the Kozuki tattoo
Funnily enough UA-cam recently bullied me into watching one of his videos which compiled every comment/tweet demanding he read One Piece, so this is perfectly timed :D
Starting with 'kill brook' really makes you watch through the whole video just to see how can anyone think that way I love brook hes great Cant get enough of YOHOHOHOHO and 45° And of course the 'oh but im already dead' jokes And his action scenes are also cool as fuck Brook is amazing and i am disgusted that anyone would want him gone
This is definitely my preference in your content and i thoroughly respect the idea that you made a separate channel to keep the content of glr concise and consistent. Just realized i wasn't subbed to this one. Now i am.
I've now noticed a trigun shirt, Liam supply us with Trigun content please. I'm famished here. Loved the interview by the way, I'm interested in checking Daniels content out.

WELL I AM SUBBING Also a rounded triangle, not a cone, i like it. 🤝
I love one piece so much, it’s changed my life. It all started with screw attack, Superman vs goku. I figured I should form my own opinion after reading the comments and it was all over. Anime and manga has quite literally changed who I am.
all respect to Daniel but his views had me feeling real sensitive and defensive about One Piece.... Great to have differing opinions and knowing that others are enjoying this story in very different ways than I am
Daniel talking about how things that are not for kids just because of animated or cutesy is something I have been pushing. Parents, please make sure you actually know what you are letting your children watch. Don't just assume that because of what it looks or who made it that it's okay, and please don't just follow what strangers say because what they think is appropriate might be very different than what you think is appropriate. I dare say that since streaming makes watching large amounts of a series at a time easier it might be worth binging some of what your kids like to make sure it's something you are comfortable with them watching
Thriller bark holds the majority of the most iconic, funny scenes in One Piece. RYUMA VS ZORO, Sanji being on fire because of his "passion", Robin giving chills to Sanji for saying she should dock, Franky building some stairs on air which was ridiculous, Brook's introduction and his skull jokes, Zoro being penetrated 😂 by the ghost, Sanji laughing with Cerberus about miserable Zoro, Luffy wanting to recruit the Horse and Tree corpses that were drinking tea, Ussop scaring Perona to death, Teddy bear Sanji and Zoro fighting, Oars being wacky with the personality of Luffy, Sanji going to rescue Nami and forgetting who she was because of her beauty, Luffy beating Cerberus, Luffy pushing down the Zombie, the "NOTHING HAPPENED" scene which speaks for itself ... And finally.... The song of prophecy, the song of nostalgia..... BINKS NO SAKE. Gecko Moriah was a wacky and very annoying character and the viewer/reader doesn't get the importance of this arc at first. But overall, Thriller Bark is an iconic GEM.
When someone asks you if they’re wrong it’s really hard not to ruin it, you either say they’re wrong and they don’t find out or you say nothing and they know they’re right

This was really cool. I really like seeing the one piece creators sharing the spot light
Daniel is the man. Love his One Piece takes since it’s coming from a different perspective on fantasy.
Wow! A crossover event 😁
Have been following both their channels for some time now because of different interests and now we see them together!!
All Hail One Piece 🙌🙌
Brook's rude/inappropriate comments and SKULL JOKE YOHOHO~ stuff makes a _lot_ more sense when you look at him as someone who spent 50 years stuck floating on a ship with the corpses of all his friends, and _lost his damn mind_
(but yeah, i could do without the panty stuff 🙄)
I love brooke but if you saw someone in real life acting like that you'd probably call the police😂😂😂
@@justno984 lmao yeah
🤣 Seeing this comment mentioning Brook's long time of loneliness has myself thinking about how so many of my classmates from high school had been thinking that my mind + own positive POV toward life in-general was so very weird but my body did survive through so many serious medical operations like chemotherapy, radiotherapy + neurosurgery to fight the brain tumour as well as cancer that had been within my head during my first year within the local high school and there had been few times during the early 2010s when I did almost lose my own mind but I have always had my many family members + so many different friends support my own progress ever since so yeah big thanks for the memories! ✌️😎
it’s just the pervy character trope man you’re doing too much
While I feel like Thriller Bark did get a bit of a bad spot being stuck between Enies Lobby and Sabaody I also kind of feel it was the perfect place for it and it was in turn perfectly utilized for what it needed to be.
When I clicked on the video and heard Brook hate I instantly started raging
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
Oh this was so good..LIAM..DANIEL..love you both been here for both your journeys this was a real treat
Merphy next BTW..make it happen.lol
I combined Liam and Danielle elvish swag by having a tattoo of me and my wife's wedding rings with the elvish script for "two rings to bind them" around them.
Legit my two favorite UA-camrs even before Daniel started One piece. Love the crossover
"It was never a matter of 'if', only 'when'"😂😂😂
Glad to see this crossover, it was great❤
Daniel's thoughts on anime/manga are great.
Gives you a different and new perspective of the thing you love
Heck yeah I love you two!
bookending Thriller Bark with crazy arcs makes it seem so bad. Till Zoro brings it back around
Dan D. iel Green is one of the coolest to watch his journey with OP, Berserk and now other stuff including DnD with Rustage lul
you can’t just plop a D in the middle of a name like that
@@Pablo360able Welp just did
Yo a fellow rustage enjoyer, les goo
This is the content I am here for! Daniel is one of my favourite youtubers and its great to see you guys together, youre a great iterviewer Liam❤️
Please interview Merphy next 😁
What if the one piece is a vault of the of the void kingdom, acting like a time capsule to ensure there culture lives on? So ton of gold, records, tech etc. Something for everyone
You whispering "dough-flamingo" into the microphone after he kept saying "doo-flamingo" cracked me up. It's like you don't want to correct him but feel a deep need to. I was saying it out loud to my screen too haha.
Just watched RTTV and Roger so today really is a good day for unexpected crossovers
I still haven't gotten over the novelty of seeing Daniel and Merphy as guests for One Piece channel creators. It's such a blend of surreal, wholesome and exciting 😁
Love seeing so interesting interviews here too.^^
I really really love those interview formats. Doesn't even have to be tied to One Piece for me.
the collab i never expected, love it
Great interview, both of you. Liam here just won you a new follower, Mr. Greene.
A bottle of Sake
I'm still on board with that theory, such a well made series for one monumental One Piece theory.
Vash the Stampede, great series and great shirt Liam
"my big old Yoda.... as a fish, and Uncle Iroh as a fishman" yeah I gotta respect Daniel's opions and descriptive tendencies lol
Its crazy to see two great creators collaborate like this
Upon a reread last year one difference in Wano compared to Dressrosa I noticed is single chapters are more focused.
Starting with 'kill brook' really makes you watch through the whole video just to see how can anyone think that way
I love brook hes great
Cant get enough of YOHOHOHOHO and 45°
And of course the 'oh but im already dead' jokes
And his action scenes are also cool as fuck
Brook is amazing and i am disgusted that anyone would want him gone
This is definitely my preference in your content and i thoroughly respect the idea that you made a separate channel to keep the content of glr concise and consistent. Just realized i wasn't subbed to this one. Now i am.
This guys: goblin
Goblin Slayer: Did someone said goblin?
I've now noticed a trigun shirt, Liam supply us with Trigun content please. I'm famished here. Loved the interview by the way, I'm interested in checking Daniels content out.
Parasite is a great short anime.
Well worth a watch.
I thought he was just interviewing the pron star with that voice but no.... It's just his interviewing voice
Subscribed to the second channel just because of this little interview. GLR is a man of culture
I really enjoy these videos with Liam just talking to other UA-camrs and the video with Brooklyn springvally
I loved your Trigun shirt!
Heavy disagree for the brook opinions 😂😂😂 but honestly, cheers
My next one piece tattoo is going to be the best bowspirit of all, the thousand sunny. I already have the BF - 37 🌟 for franky and i also plan to get chopper’s hat, hiruluk holding his cup up, and maybe 1 more but im waiting for the series to END lmfao
OH HE LIKES JINBEI?! WELL I AM SUBBING
Also a rounded triangle, not a cone, i like it. 🤝
I love one piece so much, it’s changed my life. It all started with screw attack, Superman vs goku. I figured I should form my own opinion after reading the comments and it was all over. Anime and manga has quite literally changed who I am.
I’ve been thinking about getting a One Piece tattoo recently too. I planned on getting the X on my wrist from Alabasta though
I'm genuinely happy I subbed after watching this video now
I love this and I love the both of you
On to bigger and better things
all respect to Daniel but his views had me feeling real sensitive and defensive about One Piece.... Great to have differing opinions and knowing that others are enjoying this story in very different ways than I am
Just seeing a thumbnail of Liam a Daniel together, made me very happy.
Daniel and Murphy getting into One Piece created a bridge between fantasy book fans and anime fans that i never expected but i warmly welcome
The video that induced me to Daniel is the one where he gets bullied on stream and it was funny enough were I now have seen all his one piece videos
I like how Liam talks to Daniel in the same sultry way he talks to pronstas
The crossover I always wanted, I am glad
You should do more videos like this 🔥
Thriller bark holds the majority of the most iconic, funny scenes in One Piece.
Okay this was a pretty cool interview
When someone asks you if they’re wrong it’s really hard not to ruin it, you either say they’re wrong and they don’t find out or you say nothing and they know they’re right
Love the Trigun shirt, Liam.
Brook has been one of my favorite crew members, I rank him above Nami, Ussop and post time skip Franky
Hope dude in a room hits 100k soon and grand line review hits 1M soon too! Blessings Liam!
