Dude how insane is that!? you decided to name yourself cyber shell for no particular reason, and then years later you find out that there’s an actual Russian toy/device gaming console called the cyber shell that is endorsed by Sega and is a clone of a mega drive and you can play sonic games on it and it has sonic sound effects! How is this even possible that the sonic lore master himself is unintentionally named after something obscured that’s related to sonic! This is too much of destiny, to be a coincidence.
I am a Russian, and I am a videogame collector. I have never heard of the device, but famiclones and Sega-clones with an educational spin were quite widespread in the late 90s - early 00s. They make up a realm of their own, and tracking certain varieties and researching their history requires remarkable dedication, since these things are borderline (or straight) bootleg stuff and nobody bothered to preserve the hardware or knowledge about it. You and your Russian comrades have done some serious sleuthing. But I digress. What I wanted to say is that I will gladly send a Cybershell your way should I ever come across one. Thank you for your videos and a happy new year to you!
Okay, it gets crazier. Cybershell (its Russian name, Киберзнайка, is easier to search) is more or less current. As recently as 2 years ago you could buy it from Ozon.ru, a Russian Amazon-like website. I am almost sure it was still available 5 minutes ago when I found the listing, but now it's sold out. Must have imagined its being on sale. Still, Ozon ships to the US, I believe. If this thing ever surfaces in a globally available store, I will let you know.
The coincidences between his name and that Russian thing are so numerous and relevant that I have to believe he actually grew up as a russian kid with the cybershell but then had his memories erased because of some tragic accident involving chemicals that also gave him Sonic lorekeeping superpowers (drawn from his subconscious love of using the cybershell to play russian sonic 3). Hell, that thing is probably how he knows english!
CyberShell #13 was originally a Russian plant who was supposed to run for president, but he was exposed to Sonic shortly after arriving in the US and was corrupted. So he failed his primary mission and was left to his own devices, never to be activated and with only remnants of his childhood memories still intact.
