Wow this is 9 years ago?! Japan is way ahead of its time!

The people over there really, really like trains. They like them even more than my cousin who has autism and that guy LOVES trains.
The current projection for shortest travel time on the Chuo Shinkansen, from Tokyo to Osaka, is estimated to be 67 minutes. That's a distance of 438 kilometers. Incredible.
In India we take 45 min to reach office which is 8-10 km from our houses 😑
We don't even have railway system in my district😂
@@tandori57 because our countries are developing, terrible and corrupt
That’s absolutely insane. You could do that as a daily travel 🤯. And since most corporations are either in the Kanto or Osaka region this means you can basically work everywhere.
That trip would usually be a 5-6 hour drive in a car
It can get 700kph but there is not enough length of the test course. The difficulty is not how to get that speed, the difficulty is how to stop the train safely from that high speed. Test course is only 42.8km long and it used 22km to get 603kph, it needs to keep the rest of 20km to stop it safely. If it's 20km longer, it can get 700kph or even 800kph.
+hansinamagasaki Have you more information on the length of track it needed to reach 603km/h ? According to recent videos, it would seem it takes 14km to get to 500km/h at normal acceleration.
go ahead and build a transpacific highway and it will eventually reach 1 and n+1 mach speed
Well make the route circle so it can be safe

Just awesome!!
AWWWWW
And here in California we are spending a gazzillion dollars to build a "bullet" train that MIGHT go 80 mile per hour. We are such idiots!!!!
We need this in Florida too.
The problem in the States, as here in Britain, is the complete lack of investment in the railways since WW2! Effectively, this means that any High Speed line has to be built from scratch, and I think there is even less "stomach" for that in the US than there is here in the UK.

jrob1130 はい (hai), Yes Japan number 1.
Japan invented the world's first bullet train in 1964 and it was unveiled at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. It had a top speed of 120 mph which was way faster than any other country's trains in the world at that time.
Back in the uk at that time, the class a3 and duchesses would have still have been common and the 100mph class 86s were still a year away!
Now in india average train speed is 83 km/hr
Uhh... Britain got close to that speed with steam trains far earlier. Japan's high speed railway is impressive but 120mph is far from their biggest achievement.
@@Mark-gt5uu But in Japan the bullet train can run at top speed for the entire journey due to the dedicated line back then. Trains now run between 185mph to 200mph and during peak times run at just 3 minutes apart. Not even HS2 will have such a frequent service. What proportion of the journey from London to say Edinburgh runs at top speed constantly? Never. The UK doesn't even have and has never had "in cab" signalling which limits the speed on West coast and east coast main line to just 125mph. Our railways are pretty much like developing countries at times...where the driver has to manually adjust the signal on the side of the track lol.
@@cwl1430 How is any of that relevant to my comment? Also, HS2 is about releasing capacity on the existing railway (which is the oldest functioning in the world). Anything else is an added benefit.

It's crazy to think that TGV train has gone just 30 km/h slower than this, but on regular train tracks.
But that isn't sustainable speed tho, tgv only did that for the sake of the record, while this train will operate commercially around 500kmh
comparing apples to oranges. That Japanese one MAY operate; The TGV is a stock TGV Duplex with only minor tune-ups and is in daily service, ALREADY.
@@chrisculp9692
Though that is true it doesn’t mean a Japanese Hayabusa or perhaps the Chinese Fuxin can’t reach that speed.
The only reason France was able to set that record is because their land is flat as hell. The TVG required ‘140km’ to achieve this result, while the Maglev only needed 20km.
The Hayabusa reaches its operational ceiling of 320km with about 20-25km and Fuxin about 400km in 25-30km.
If either had that long ass track they could have perhaps surpassed this result, as both, especially Hayabusa has an incredible advantage at higher speeds with its aerodynamic design which reduces air resistance the faster it goes.
The maglev can help you get home faster but it has several problems that a TGV does not have. Is difficult to use, extremely expensive and is not even profitable is less economically viable at 200 km/h.
@@lolololo-cx4dpno in france its around 375kmph

This train is so used to speed that it still moves at 75 km/hr when the power is off and the brakes are pulled.
I can't believe that it was shoot 9 years ago and it's still been under construction due to dispute between JR Tokai and Shizuoka pref. where the train’s traveling through on the center of the new line.
Almost all of Japanese people hope that its issue will be solved as soon as possible and try to experience this wonderful technology.
The video is 9 years old💀 imagine what's Japan cooking in 2024
Come and eat. You will enjoing it. 😃
As a Japanese, this is the reason I always wake up 2 minutes before the start of my shift
Japan is the best technology
Reasons why its fast because there is no wheels which means no friction because friction is what slows the train down from the rails to the wheel and so that's why its magnetic and floats in mid air.
yes it is a very smart concept. imagine it without air...(but it won't be a vacuum? not gonna happen though) its kinda cool to think about

It's as realistic as time machine.
that train is designed with speed and stability in mind, and that matters when your passengers are travelling over 200 mph
allgoo19 no it’s not, lol it been built and is operational.
Wether the train runs at 600 kph or 1 kph the earthquake will strike when it has to strike - and could be the speed of the train could help to get passengers to safety faster - Speed counts and with some proper controls I feel this will be the future of rail transport - well done to Japan !
+Paul Thomas Japan has the world most advanced earthquake proof/resistance system for its railway & rated the world's safest railway system in the world. when an earthquake is anticipated/detected, the train will come to a complete halt before it that happens.
Complete halt was made just after the occurrence of the grand eathquake in Tohoku 2011. No casualty in Shinkansen.
Also the maglev trains in Japan have a 10 cm gap instead further reducing the chances of a collision with track below.
The governor of Shizuoka Prefecture is blocking the opening of the Linear Shinkansen.

Japan 2058 - Rest of the world 2018
0:26 SCMaglev: I love being famous
Japan Railway Company said we can ride on this train on 2027.
Now they are constructing the railway road underground like subway.
+武田洋介 oh so there is a long way left for anyone to enjoy this. I think it is great that it can reach 600 km/h when the fastest commercial plane reaches 1000. But I wonder about the security, especially if there is an earthquake (which is very likely to happen)
+Mara Ram Concorde (discontinued British/French commercial aircraft) could fly at around 1150mph. It was discontinued due to impracticality.
+Mara Ram I believe the Maglev must have the same stopping time as a train travelling 320km/h. Earthquake detectors can give 10 or 20 seconds advance notice in some cases. The train will be automated and hooked into this system. It's not a lot of time, but it's something.
Wow, how much money it will cost though

"when the fastest commercial plane reaches 1000..."

It already existed but it didn't make a commercial success.

This fantastic Japanese technology makes the British railway look like complete shit.
It's German technology Einstein.
Schwanzel stock
German maglev uses permanent magnet and pull system but Japanese maglev uses super-conducting electric magnet and repulsion system.
you should probably travel over india russia or other shitworld countries to see what shit like trains really are
In fact, we had the world's first Maglev system. It's the AirRail Link in Birmingham. The thing is, people in this country have had some amazing ideas over the years, but they've constantly been blocked from putting them into motion because our tightfisted, archaic Conservative government aren't willing to invest in new concepts, thus not allowing us to move into the future. Maybe that will change though if Jeremy Corbyn becomes prime minister. Maybe we'll finally be able to use the potential that has gone unused for such a long time.
Quite different.
Superconductivity vs normal conductivity.
Inductors are on the car vs on the rail.
Two countries surveyed many overlapping technologies individually for 50 years.
Difference of adopted technologies comes from the requirements for the transportation systems of two countries.
imagine a crash in the tunnel at 600kmh
