I’ve had my 2005 DB9 for a couple of months now and to be honest I’m just as happy sticking it in drive and cruising the wheels off it! Hardly use the paddles, mostly just for fun when my teenage son is in the car! Recently completed a 900 mile road trip from Aberdeenshire to Stratford on Avon and back! Car was epic, all day comfy and as bad on fuel as I thought it would be! I love it!👍👏👏👏❤️
Amazing car with a proper 5.9L N/A V12 engine. I really don't care about the power. The astounding stock exhaust note is a perfect symphony. The design is excellent. No turbos, no hybrid tech, none of that crap. The car industry is dying.
I have the exact same car bought new and I’ve just learned how to to put the cruise control on 😂 you are spot on with your comments re the cars drive and handling
Yeah its alarming isn't it Christo! A few people I've spoken to have reported the same thing. Really responsive throttle and happy back end as a result. Glad you enjoyed though, I found the DB9 to be a wonderful car too! Which was your favourite out of the three?
@@macswhips Well...I have to say... It WAS the Aston. It felt like an untamed "Beast", which I had to really concentrate to drive fast. But...I loved it. The Porsche was very fast too, and the grip was the best of the three. The Ferrari was a mix of the other two, but somehow felt a bit less inspiring tbh. So...if I win the lottery tomorrow... A Bentley it IS! 🤣🤣🤣🤔
Completely agree, I wasn't worried when I put my foot down even in the rain. That being said, the throttle response and happy tail end on these things are a bit alarming to say the least!
Early DB9's did have a very sensitive throttle response and were difficult to pull away in smoothly. Aston dealt with this pretty early on, I am assuming via a software update,, and the latter cars are much less trigger happy. Sport mode in the wet? You are either very brave or ..........
Thanks for the comment Mark, that is really interesting and something I didn't know. I only flirted with Sport mode and decided quite quickly against it!
@@macswhips I owned my DB9 for over a year before I even tried the sport button. As an older gentleman I am quite happen to just cruise about with the occasional spirited overtake. Enjoy the car.
Hello there, sorry for the slow reply, this one must have slipped the net. We bought and sold it around the £37,000 mark. It was a 2006, the mileage was 31,000 miles and ownerships was 3 since new. And it looked like new inside and out to give you some idea on condition. I hope that helps and I hope you find one.

Completely agree Lorenzo, I slowly fell in love with it on the drive back. What a perfect sound. How long have you had yours?
@@macswhips that twitch is the traction control and it is dangerous and should always be turned off

Oh brilliant! How are you liking it? I know what you mean with the cruise control, there are definitely some quirks with slightly old Astons!
I drove one of these around a racetrack yesterday, and that "twitched" too...😨
Mind you...it WAS glorious!
Also drove a Porsche and a Ferrari.

No surprise to hear that! I fell in love with the DB9 when I drove it. Ah was it a 911 with the Porsche?
😂😂 Bentley! I guess thats the logical choice
I remember when I picked my DB9 from Stratford and it chucked it down all the way back home but hey it’s a car to be driven regardless of the weather

Beautiful interior spec
Really nice isn't it. I wasn't a fan initially but it grew on me almost immediately.
Magnifique!
Best car I ever bought.❤️
They are beautiful aren't they Myke. Do you still have yours?
