updates guys i got it and i LOVE it, that is just me but i don’t regret it at all. it’s truly amazing, the beginning is kinda slow but it’s not as slow as i heard like when i’ve been playing the beginning it doesn’t feel slow at all i love it! anyways i hope this helped people out there

Listening to your voice over this calm music calms me down for some reason when it comes to the hype. Seeing the gameplay visibly look like an average person playing helps a lot too. Edit: I literally just realised that I'm hyped for a life simulator where you live on a deserted island with a bunch of furries....
"You'll be spending your first night with nothing else to keep you company besides hundrets and hundrets of weeds!" yeah I dig that, those nights are the best
when I heard the "after a week, we started to slowly lose interest" I got really scared but then I saw the town hall and was actually really happy that my pre-order was worth it!
The repeated guitar sounds gets on my neeerves, I hope and pray the music is diverse like all past animal crossing games. I will cry if it's all the same in a slightly different format

This made me think that I started Animal Crossing on Wild World, and never fully upgraded my house, same goes for Let's Go to the City, and now New Leaf. I'm gonna probably abandon New Leaf when this arrives, so I'm just thinking collectively how much debt I'm in to Tom Nook 😂

I mean, you do realize there's a whole list of stuff missing from the game that older games had right? At least, that's what datamining has found. Not to mention the horible dicision to make holidays "Free DLC" instead of having them in the game to begin with like they always were. Plus there are plenty of new features I would have liked to see.... like the ability to actually build up your home, instead of it being the same four rooms, a 2nd floor and a basement like it's always been. There are a LOT of ways nintendo could top this one.

As much as I like the heavy emphasis lately on the decorating/customizing side of the series, what I really want to see more is the player interactions with the villagers. I wanna hear what they have to say.(also would love to see NEW villagers) I think I'm not alone when I say that the villagers are the stars of the series, so seeing what interesting conservations you engage in with them or the varied kinds of personalities that they radiate is what really makes the world come to life(though i will say, from the footage ive seen, the little actions they do in town like cleaning and eating is very cute and adds a bit of depth to the world)I want to see how "real" these characters truly seem, rather than just coming off as empty shells spouting robotic NPC jargon. It is possible, as I felt that the og game and Wild World had some clever dialogue. New Leaf was, well, dissapointing in that respect(IMO) Idk, i just felt that the interactions with the villagers/special characters felt bland and unimportant, as they repeat the same dialogue and a lot of the writing felt very dumbed down and safe. Hopefully this gets fixed with New Horizons. If not, then I guess...oh well.
I've never played animal crossing in my life, but I can't even express how excited I am for this game. Watching the trailers just gives me a weird sense of nostalgia and the community for the series seems great. Can't wait for the 20th!
12:22 people wondered how New Leaf could be topped? Uhh, no they didn't. Right from the start people complained that there were no cliffs (completely flat town), that you couldn't put your tent on a beach, that the grass still turned to mud from walking on it, that you couldn't control where villagers move in unless you placed a bunch of patterns on the ground, that the inventory system still hadn't been improved, and many other things...
-No Gyroids -Several special characters are missing like Rover, Brewster, Redd, Froggy Chair -No Cafe -No Dream Suite (No new buildings beyond what we've seen in the direct) -No New Species -Only 9 Confirmed New Villagers -No Bushes -No island minigames -No paintings
TheBebop No Gyroids? 😳 I mean, I never really liked those, but they are e huge part of animal crossing and I would have loved seeing that you could donate them to the museum

I thought there was? You can draw on the bulletin board. The switch does have a touch screen, you can even buy a stylus.

This made me think that I started Animal Crossing on Wild World, and never fully upgraded my house, same goes for Let's Go to the City, and now New Leaf. I'm gonna probably abandon New Leaf when this arrives, so I'm just thinking collectively how much debt I'm in to Tom Nook 😂

The only gripe you had with the game is the interface can be a little awkward, that's impressive
That and you can't use the touchscreen option to make designs, which is EXTREMELY strange, given all the detail put in this game.

I mean, you do realize there's a whole list of stuff missing from the game that older games had right? At least, that's what datamining has found. Not to mention the horible dicision to make holidays "Free DLC" instead of having them in the game to begin with like they always were. Plus there are plenty of new features I would have liked to see.... like the ability to actually build up your home, instead of it being the same four rooms, a 2nd floor and a basement like it's always been. There are a LOT of ways nintendo could top this one.

As much as I like the heavy emphasis lately on the decorating/customizing side of the series, what I really want to see more is the player interactions with the villagers. I wanna hear what they have to say.(also would love to see NEW villagers) I think I'm not alone when I say that the villagers are the stars of the series, so seeing what interesting conservations you engage in with them or the varied kinds of personalities that they radiate is what really makes the world come to life(though i will say, from the footage ive seen, the little actions they do in town like cleaning and eating is very cute and adds a bit of depth to the world)I want to see how "real" these characters truly seem, rather than just coming off as empty shells spouting robotic NPC jargon. It is possible, as I felt that the og game and Wild World had some clever dialogue. New Leaf was, well, dissapointing in that respect(IMO) Idk, i just felt that the interactions with the villagers/special characters felt bland and unimportant, as they repeat the same dialogue and a lot of the writing felt very dumbed down and safe. Hopefully this gets fixed with New Horizons. If not, then I guess...oh well.
I've never played animal crossing in my life, but I can't even express how excited I am for this game. Watching the trailers just gives me a weird sense of nostalgia and the community for the series seems great. Can't wait for the 20th!

12:22 people wondered how New Leaf could be topped? Uhh, no they didn't.
Right from the start people complained that there were no cliffs (completely flat town), that you couldn't put your tent on a beach, that the grass still turned to mud from walking on it, that you couldn't control where villagers move in unless you placed a bunch of patterns on the ground, that the inventory system still hadn't been improved, and many other things...

-Several special characters are missing like Rover, Brewster, Redd, Froggy Chair
-No Cafe
-No Dream Suite
(No new buildings beyond what we've seen in the direct)
