Yes, this is a good quote. But, alas, we live in a loud world. Very loud. In all ways!! Thus, one can keep silent or quiet as long as possible, but if a situation doesn't resolve itself after a long time, years sometimes, then one must put things and a fist on the table and also be loud and clear about what's going on. This does ask for a good deal of energy and righteous self confidence, but it's important to break miscommunication, corruption, etc. One can only do this the loud way. And either walk away afterwards, or if things change then continue in a more harmonious way. Not easy but efficient.

When my daughter had been okay/not throwing up for 24h her stepmom who had not been throwing up in 24+ either told my daughter that she’s selfish, has a “mean way of thinking”, “you will infect everyone” (it’s not contagious after symptoms have been gone for over 24h.) and “you are abandoning us” and “you should help here with taking care of your dad; clean up the buckets with throwup, do the housecores, go to the shop”, etc. I went and got my daughter who was totally pale and had red eyes from crying. I had a big realization a while ago when someone asked for my name and he immediately called me by it, and did it several more times that day. I realized that he was saying my name a lot in an effort to remember it, and that it isn't a bad thing if I can tell he's doing it. He even said the wrong name once and I corrected him, but it's okay because he was trying and that is polite.

You help me embrace reality and hard to swallow pills that I needed to hear from a long time. I'm still trembling on this process of self development but I believe that some day I will feel better with who I am and accept life even though its not always what I want. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for this! As a 40 year old autistic man, I needed this break down of things. It gives me a framework with which to scaffold my philosophies on. I didn't even know I was autistic until 37 and I figured out that I went undiagnosed because people are one of my special interests, so I'm a chameleon able to fully empathize with others but this will help me stand on my own. Thank you from the deepest places in my heart. Namaste.

thanks natalie. after tremendous friendship reshuffling that caused me to feel worse lol i realised i will not lower myself for anyone just for their company. its better to value and respect my thoughts.
Me too.😊 I’d rather be alone & have no friends in my life than several of the “pretend friends that are always there for me when they need something from me but when I need something from them for a change they never make time for me or seem willing & happy to reciprocate with any help for me unless they benefit somehow. Reminds me of the song by Janet Jackson: “What have you done for me lately ?” If the answer is always nothing from people in our lives it’s time to let them go & make space for people who know how a healthy relationship can work- Give & take -balanced not people always : •Taking us for granted • Taking advantage of our generosity •Taking everything they can get from us Never Taking time for us I’m finally done being a doormat that has “Welcome Users& Losers” written all over it. This is me standing up for myself & changing how I allow people to treat me. I haven’t watched this video yet but when it came up randomly in my feed I saw the title & that was perfect timing.

Fascinating ! I always introduce myself boldly when I walk into a room , and I always find it to feel strange that this is not normal !!!!! Respect yourself people !
I am 50 and I'm actually normally never interested in what a young person has to say in regards to these topics because usually they are not insightful enough due to lack of life experience. This girl is shockingly impressive. I actually want my 18-year-old daughter to listen to this. This advice is so grounded and emotionally intelligent that someone my age would be more apt to share this life advice. Well done!
I think a reason I subscribed immediately like a month ago is because you are very easy to respect. You are smart and well-spoken. And I can tell that you are intelligent based on what you say and your video topics. Thanks for all of the help.
It is mind- boggling to me how you seem to have at least 200 years of wisdom packed into such a young soul! And you are absolutely beautiful too! You have amazed me today! Thank you for your life changing work.
My mom told me to stop saying, sorry. "you dont want to be known as a 'sorry' person." I've always have said 'my bad' instead, or if im genuinely guilty for my actions, I'll say 'i apologize'. (In formal settings) Sorry is very imformal nowadays because of how overused it is, and no one really takes the word seriously. It makes you sound childish 🥰👍
Thank you! I just started working at a correctional facility as a mental health professional. I'm not easily intimidated although this is a completely different environment, and not just because of the inmates but also all the staff members--- alot of them have been there for years and some of them look at "new blood" like we don't know anything.
I just wanted to say I never comment on anybody's videos and I watch constantly I found this video to be extremely useful, obvious, sure but for some reason did not come to me naturally. Weird. Thank you!!
Nice metaphor about the two trees that were close together with the bird choosing to go above. Nice work. You are inducted into the top 1/2 % of society.

Thank you Natalie for sharing!❤ Absolutely, preferring to hang around with people doing less & Not hanging out with others above ourselves is a loser’s mindset. Always be around inspiring people to grow! ❤

Respect has to be earned. You don't have to respect others if they havent earned it - you should always give people courtesy and expect courtesy in return. I believe you are getting an understanding, but still need to review the fundamentals as I've stated. I admire that this is important and matters to you. Best of luck in your business and personal life.
"Gaining other people's respect has everything to do with the level of self-respect you have inside." "Stand in your authenticity; authenticity is one of the purest energies that you can work."
I burned bridges with someone that disrespected me, if I just avoided and distanced myself from this person the result would be much better. Now that person knows that they have the power to hurt me and use it to their advantage. I'll remember your words for next time "accept the person for what they are, place them where they belong". Thank you so much! ❤
7:30 PERIOD "I'm really busy this month, but you know, I might be able to make time for you." Something else I want to take from this to remind myself, "accept people how they are, place them where they belong." Finally, replacing sorry with thank you. I've noticed recently I overuse the phrase and I'm so thankful to you for talking about this. Now I can work on dropping the bad habit. Thank you so much, your videos have been so helpful. I've had your videos playing in the background as I work on my assignments and it's such good advice that I have to stop and actually listen, so I can remember this.
It's hard for me to make people respect me because at the the first place i don't respect myself either, that's why I'm learning my own ways to make myself be respectable and as i scrolling on yt I accidentally saw your content and I watch it and it helps me a lot to gain respect from the people who doesn't know how ti respect, thanks a lot.
Nice tips, I feel like the “sorry” one is super important. How we talk to ourselves matters the most. Remember your conscious only knows and can reflect from one person YOU. So even when your bad language is aimed elsewhere it’s truly impacting only yourself. Use words wisely🙏🏼💫
I’m a high rank corporate manager, I direct people and operations everyday. My job is a mind f***. Everything in my job is about people respecting me, sometimes they step out wether intentionally or unintentionally - either way I have to bring them back to reality, sometimes in group discussions or 1:1’s - I need to assert myself and let them know this isn’t a game in a strategic or blunt manner. This video is super useful!
Could you please give me some advice. I’m a new manager and I’ve had a lot of trouble with my team. I’ve been working in my position for a year now and have already had several incidents at work because people were disrespectful towards me, in particular two women that grew to dislike me and I feel that they are jealous of me and aiming for my job. I think the biggest issue is that I am the youngest one in our office and my looks don’t help either, as all issues I had were with those same two women. Another problem is that they all have more experience than me in this particular field of work even though I have advanced degrees that they don’t and experience in other similar areas. I don’t even know what I did wrong to begin with other than probably be too nice and approachable. I usually never have problems with women and I generally love working with them but these two are something else…
Brother is a manager of a bank and he’s one of the most disrespectful people I have ever met . He is a complete narcissist and only respects himself and wants control. A lot of people don’t understand how to be in leader roles .
Instead of criticism and things aren't done right, complement when things are right. I would suggest reading the New York times bestseller the go giver. Good luck!!
It was the first video ive watched on your channel I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW MATURE YOU ARE, EVERY SINGLE WORD HAD A MEMORABLE POINT, THANKS I WILL BE WAITING FOR MORE VIDEOS
i hadn't thought about that last advice i think i have to let go of people that don't help me to improve myself and it's hard because sometimes we are so attached to someone that we think we'll never find someone better, but you're right,we have to surround ourselves with people we respect i love your videos ,thanks Natalie Greetings from Nicaragua 🇳🇮
I’ve been there! Arrogant and defensive. I’ve really been able to learn many lessons in responsibility this past year, and I’m SO grateful. Thank you for this video ❤ just found you and I love the clear & bold way you deliver your points 🔥
Wow! You are very surprisingly knowledgeable for your age. You have definitely put in the work to gain this information and more than likely an old soul. The only alteration I would make would be to make it crystal clear that hurt people CHOOSE TO hurt people… It is a conscious decision that they make, not just something that just happens to happen…
When you walk into a room and are so confident - people really begin to hate you so much - especially women -but men just walk away from you and want nothing to do with you
When I walk into a room confident......women hate me but all the guys want to talk to me......then it makes the women hate me even more ( do I care...NO)😜
Love “thank you” rather than “sorry” - one rooted in gratitude, the other rooted in shame (often). So the next time we “mess up” and are held accountable for it, we can say: “thank you for helping me to realise this. I can do better”.
My immediate thoughts when I saw this video’s title. (which is great info btw for someone who needs to hear it). Once you’ve established your identity & self-worth & go into the world as a good person w/ no ill will towards others (be optimistic & understand that everyone is flawed as you are too)…more positivity just naturally comes back to you. Seeking respect from others is basically seeking validation from strangers-respect everyone but expecting something in return is going to leave you w/ some disappointments. Be forgiving of others. Entitlement is annoying AF & not everyone will be able to follow these tips successfully because of who we are innately. Some ppl continue to go into the world blind as a bat despite seeking positive changes. I personally know some ppl like this so this is based on my own experience.
you say that but for 5 years i’ve been like what you said but words get to you, the constant indirect disrespect will make you feel so worthless one day or another, thus i think this video is important to people like me
@@laiba_hussain3169 you are bound to take it personally when its being done fro 5 years, one day or another or maybe you have a shield unlike me. i hope you understand this video might not resonate with you but it resonates to weak people like me ❤️
Great advice & video! 10:20 authenticity is a gem! You can fake posture, memorizing names etc…. Please say sorry at work when you mess up. If you don’t, people aren’t happy. But you really need to know who you are and what you believe in. Find that first. Don’t sit at tables where you don’t believe in the same stuff. I’m 37 and I’ve avoided so much BS.
Hey Natalie, I just watched your video and a lot of things you’re saying I am already using/applying to my life since I started my “journey of self development”, but number 13 REALLY impressed me. my favorite as well. When people show you who they are, believe them the first time. Maya Angelou.
The best part
This
1) introduce yourself to people when you enter a room
2) try to remember people’s names
3) fix your posture
4) always stay busy
5) if someone disrespects your time, don’t be so readily available for them the next time
6) replace sorry with thank you
7) take accountability when you actually do something wrong
8) stay in your authenticity
9) avoid emotional reactions
10) start regarding yourself as a highly respectable person
11) look at peoples actions rather than the role they play in your life
12) stop taking disrespect so personally
13) surround yourself with people you respect
TYSM! i'll def watch the video later but i needed a quick resume.

Im a 24 year old man who still is figuring out what he wants to do with his life, how to cope loneliness and fear of being seen, and you are here helping me with my progress day after day. You help me embrace reality and hard to swallow pills that I needed to hear from a long time.
I'm still trembling on this process of self development but I believe that some day I will feel better with who I am and accept life even though its not always what I want.
Thank you again.
Great video! I feel like this content is way more than just "tricks" - it's about self awareness, realizing your power and self worth, personal growth etc.. really good stuff! Thank you for sharing ✨️
Namaste.
Aww you’re precious! I love people in the spectrum. My lovey son is autistic and so fascinating. Be blessed!!
Same!! I found out adhd@38, which was the right neighborhood. Then at 40, discovered the AUT and it felt like I was home. I appreciate the detailing of ALL the social stuff. Once I learned I needed it explained, the fog lifted.
girrrllll i keep ruining my relationships and opportunities because of my emotional reactions :( thank you for this video, i really need to grow up

Girlyy, idk if you'll see this comment or not, but I believe in you!! 💗 We all struggle in some type of way, but it's all in how you learn to fix the struggles :)) I'm proud of you for just doing something simple like watching this video
I took a psychology class recently, and we had a chapter all about social psychology and it was WILD to me how many little things people do effect how others perceive them, or even how you perceive yourself. Awesome video Natalie!
Do u have any things from that class not mentioned in the video you could share ? 😁
@@sherlockholmes891 can you share some?
"you accept people for how they are, place 'em where they belong." you don't need to fix them, you don't. : )
thanks natalie. after tremendous friendship reshuffling that caused me to feel worse lol i realised i will not lower myself for anyone just for their company. its better to value and respect my thoughts.
Better a crumb in peace then a banquet in strife!💝🙏🏻💝
Me too.😊 I’d rather be alone & have no friends in my life than several of the “pretend friends that are always there for me when they need something from me but when I need something from them for a change they never make time for me or seem willing & happy to reciprocate with any help for me unless they benefit somehow.
Reminds me of the song by Janet Jackson:
“What have you done for me lately ?”
If the answer is always nothing from people in our lives it’s time to let them go & make space for people who know how a healthy relationship can work-
Give & take -balanced not people always :
•Taking us for granted
• Taking advantage of
our generosity
•Taking everything they can get from us
Never Taking time for us

I haven’t watched this video yet but when it came up randomly in my feed I saw the title & that was perfect timing.
13:03 THE BEST ADVICE!
16:28 *is something more people need to hear if they let other people impact their self-worth by disrespecting others.*
_You are very smart and give good advice I must say._
_Thank you for sharing that advice!_
For someone so young, you are so wise and amazing.
I treat others how I'd want to be treated by default (as i was taught by family)
but when someone disrespects me deliberately, I put em in check that I'm not to be taken advantage of. I'm no door mat. ❤
how do you do that?
yeah how do you do that without being rude or losing that person as a friend? i need to know
@@shahanaparveen2413 Why would you even want to keep a person in you're life who is like this ?🤔🙄
I got ignored all school year. This video caught my eye because I'm trying to make friends. I have been waiting for 8 years. You have earned a sub
Well done!
"I'm not someone to just sit back and let myself not to be known" 🖤🖤
These words are very strong....thank you sis for helping us.Pls smake a part 2💕
Spot on! Avoid being easily available and taking back your energy from people who disrespect you! ❤❤
Your warmth towards your following is felt
I think a reason I subscribed immediately like a month ago is because you are very easy to respect. You are smart and well-spoken. And I can tell that you are intelligent based on what you say and your video topics. Thanks for all of the help.
It is mind- boggling to me how you seem to have at least 200 years of wisdom packed into such a young soul! And you are absolutely beautiful too! You have amazed me today! Thank you for your life changing work.
I needed this. This is about anybody, friends, family, stalkers, etc.
My mom told me to stop saying, sorry. "you dont want to be known as a 'sorry' person."
I've always have said 'my bad' instead, or if im genuinely guilty for my actions, I'll say 'i apologize'. (In formal settings) Sorry is very imformal nowadays because of how overused it is, and no one really takes the word seriously. It makes you sound childish 🥰👍
Love how straight to the point you are and how you do not yap about irrelevant things
Thank you! I just started working at a correctional facility as a mental health professional. I'm not easily intimidated although this is a completely different environment, and not just because of the inmates but also all the staff members--- alot of them have been there for years and some of them look at "new blood" like we don't know anything.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 leaning to self respect after being burned all my life by people. Took a while but better late than never!
Everything apart she's so pretty while being smart n making me feel comfy. It's just so precious to me.❣
I don’t usually comment on people’s videos much but this video! Damn. Everything every single thing you said is so true and insightful! Thank you for this! ❤
i have paused this video cuz i have to go shopping but i was stil thinking bout th topics she was saying and i used a couple of them and dude it worked like i used to wave my hand to say ppls hi that who dont care bout me today i took a break and they them selves noticed me and came to say hi thats insane. thx natalie i'll keep following you.
"Recognize and accept people, then place them where they belong." I'd add: "...and do it sooner than later!" What an excellent video. Best of luck with what you're doing, you're already great!
Thank you Natalie for sharing!❤
Absolutely, preferring to hang around with people doing less & Not hanging out with others above ourselves is a loser’s mindset. Always be around inspiring people to grow! ❤
I do this all the time especially with authority figures and superiors..I'm a human you'll treat me as such, you dont run me and I'll make you understand why you don't whether you like it or not 😊🤧
the way i stumbled on this during my guasha sesh and now i know what im watching at the end of the night during self care 💖
Respect has to be earned. You don't have to respect others if they havent earned it - you should always give people courtesy and expect courtesy in return. I believe you are getting an understanding, but still need to review the fundamentals as I've stated. I admire that this is important and matters to you. Best of luck in your business and personal life.
you dropped some of the best life advice ive heard all in a 20 min video. props to you and thank you for sharing this!
"Gaining other people's respect has everything to do with the level of self-respect you have inside."
"Stand in your authenticity; authenticity is one of the purest energies that you can work."
I think that’s the morale of the story essentially good take 👍🏻
Natalie, your wisdom is far beyond your youthful appearance, and your delivery is exceptional!
@@larabardot6836same issue here ! You can only control your behaviour.
Good luck!!

that just clicked in my mind. I'm so grateful that I saw your podcast. Don't stop, girl. This is the first time i met u, but i already love u❤

It was the first video ive watched on your channel
I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW MATURE YOU ARE, EVERY SINGLE WORD HAD A MEMORABLE POINT, THANKS
I WILL BE WAITING FOR MORE VIDEOS
I KNOW, RIGHT!
i hadn't thought about that last advice
i think i have to let go of people that don't help me to improve myself and it's hard because sometimes we are so attached to someone that we think we'll never find someone better, but you're right,we have to surround ourselves with people we respect
i love your videos ,thanks Natalie
Greetings from Nicaragua 🇳🇮
I NEEDED to hear this today 😊 I say sorry toooooo much and am going to practice saying “thank you” instead. Thank you!
F what people think.
Subscribed literally yesterday. Don't know why I'm so excited that I'm early🤭
I’ve been there! Arrogant and defensive. I’ve really been able to learn many lessons in responsibility this past year, and I’m SO grateful. Thank you for this video ❤ just found you and I love the clear & bold way you deliver your points 🔥
First rule: Respect and love yourself truly and unconditionally. The rest will follow.
Be yourself and don't care if people like or "respect" you. Start with respecting yourself and just you do you.
I personally know some ppl like this so this is based on my own experience.
you say that but for 5 years i’ve been like what you said but words get to you, the constant indirect disrespect will make you feel so worthless one day or another, thus i think this video is important to people like me
@@shahanaparveen2413 We are all in a different place in our own journeys. I pray your journey is pleasant here forward, Shahana.
That's why must try our best to not take it personally ♡
I am a grown woman and this chic is speaking the truth
!
" As time is precious, time to focus on myself n don't have time to take your disrespect " be with this mindset.
Omg you are so pretty with make up and without! literally a godess keep going girl, I promise you are going to go far in life♥️
I agree with you, and her eyes wow! Angel eyes I mean that’s how I picture an Angel
Hey Natalie, I just watched your video and a lot of things you’re saying I am already using/applying to my life since I started my “journey of self development”, but number 13 REALLY impressed me. I’ve never thought about this and it’s just incredible, I’ll will be more self aware now about this issue!! Thank you for your work and btw you’re stunning 😘😘

the first step for someone else to respect you, is to respect yourself.
