      @@beyondourarena2207 Well, the codec from this camera is really good. Having 6k FF camera of this size, I can wait. Because I will probably shoot with it for 10+ year like I did with Canon 5D. Unless camera companies make a new sensor technology beyond CMOS, there is really no reason to keep buying camera. But I want to replace my 5D with Panasonic, so I can match them easier. This is perfect B Camera for my Varicam LT.
      I arranged test with Panasonic Hollywood. So in a few weeks check my channel and you will see a narrative test from this camera combo.
      Also most camera are shooting in raw but the sensor is so bad it is just a gimmick. From what I have seen from this camera, and vlog there is a lot more color and real 14 stops dynamic range. Varicam of course is the best camera on market with 6+ dynamic range over and under with no color change. Better than ARRI but never reported... tsk tsk Pany

    • @raksh9
      @raksh9 5 років тому +1

      Very true. I was looking at the EVA1 for doc shooting and corporate, but the S1H will offer a lot more physical mobility, plus all the features like 14 stops of dynamic range, more lens choices, etc etc.

      what do you guys think what a EVA2 should have to compete with mentioned above and s1h, also price point wise?

    • @raksh9
      @raksh9 5 років тому +2

      @@soultrekcentral It depends on if it is still aimed to compete with the S1H. The EVA has things that the S1H doesn't, like a Canon EF mount, built in XLR ports, a movable grip which allows it to be used handheld or shoulder rigged, a handle, ND filters, lots of stuff. I can imagine the EVA cameras being used for larger productions as a B cam for a Varicam, and where the camera op has to be mobile but in a traditional ENG way. It's essentially the Panasonic FS5/FS7.

    €4.000,- for the body. Around €2.000 for a nice FF lens. An additional battery and some extra's maybe. Hitting the Cinema Camera price range there. Blackmagic really is disrupting the camera market. That being said, would love to see some real world footage of the S1H.

      @cfl4286 5 років тому

      Uhm what? I'll take 6K up to 60fps in an amazing 12 bit RAW codec over 6K (not really full 6K either) on full frame in a terrible h.265 codec. H.265 is AWFUL for editing so I hope you like transcoding and eating up even more hard drive space. Also you're gonna need tons of ultra fast SD cards to even be able to record for more than 15 minutes. Plus the BM 6K is half the price and comes with Davinci Resolve. BM is better for video quality. S1H is better for ergonomics.

    • @BlackWarriorLures
      @BlackWarriorLures 5 років тому

      @@cfl4286 I agree. That's why the S1H will do ProRes Raw to an external recorder. The reality is the price of high quality images is high. At this level you're riggin out the camera anyway.

    • @cfl4286
      @cfl4286 5 років тому

      @@BlackWarriorLures yes you definitely have to invest to get the best image out of both of them. I don't see proress raw coming anytime soon to the S1H. And if it does, it won't be 6K because HDMI can't handle a 6K raw signal. Every other camera that is capable of proress raw via an Atomos uses SDI. Plus that will negate the usefulness of the ergonomics and flip out screen since you have to buy a $700 monitor/recorder for it anyways. Either way you're still way above the price of a fully rigged BM 6K so you might as well do that if you're looking at shooting video. Also premiere doesn't support proress raw so you have to use FCPX. You can buy a $30 plugin for premiere to make it compatible with Braw and you also have Davinci for free which is better than both.

    • @BlackWarriorLures
      @BlackWarriorLures 5 років тому

      @@cfl4286 But can Blackmagic actually deliver a functional camera? People are still waiting on their P4ks, and BM's quality control lacks much. The price is temping, but they have cut the price so much that people getting cameras all scratched up, and who knows what other problems.
      Buy Blackmagic and you're just a beta tester. Buy Panasonic and you're buying a finished camera.

      If you really take a serious look at the samples on UA-cam you can see that the S1H footage looks better than the BMPCC6K Raw codec footage. Why? In short: Full Frame Sensor! I own the BMPCC6K, but I still love the handling of the S1 more. And I really love the in body stabilization.

      @@w.w.7148 This is a personal opinion.
      I do not think the footage is better.
      Furthermore you are talking about the BEST samples of Panasonic chosen one by one and NOT real life conditions.
      Wait until you OVER/UNDER expose with the S1H .....
      Then the real disaster begins.
      If you LOVE full frame image just order a Magic BOOSTER that will transform your P6K into a Full frame camera.
      Problem solved. And you keep 1000€ to go to the movies with your girlfriend , for the next couple years. :)

      So true man. The 6K will appeal to the masses. But anyone who knows a little more about editing and coloring will value codecs and bitrates over some of these specs any day.

      The BMPCC6K is not even full frame, so what is your point here?

      W. W. If they call it a „pro“ camera for videoproduction, what does it actually bring over the existing model? The s1 has basically almost the same specs with worse codecs. To call a camera a film oriented tool“ and have a 1.5 crop in 4k60 (THE baseline spec these days) is just not good enough for this huge pricepoint.
      Bm6k can use the lucadapter and becomes FF, AND can do 6k 12bit RAW in 60p (!!!) for LESS money...srsly, why would anyone consider this cam?

      8k, 12k! No one can tell the difference. No one. Zero. If you are taking a magnifying glass to the cinema to watch a film, then you aren't really into story at all. Check out Steve Yedlin's discussion before you insult folks.
