Mr. Nikhyl Singhal, thank you so much for your presentation. It is hands down the most clear, concise and eye-opening description of Product roles I've ever come across. Great for career overview. God bless you and all the best for future achievements.
This is one of the best presentations I've seen about PM, Director, VP and CPO. It is very insightful, concise, and comprehensive. Thank you very much.
This is super useful. I lead a marketing team in a fast growing small company and get lost a lot. This pointed me a clear direction what skills I need in order to become a real senior manager.
As product person newbie, just 6 years on going, this presentation makes sense 100%.
Fantastic overview of the skills needed at the Director, VP and CPO. Thank you!!
I just moved into a Director role at a hypergrowth SaaS company, and I can't tell you how valuable this talk was. Thank you very much
Congratulations Jennifer, any tip for me who want to achieve similar position?
I am senior quality assurance engineer and feel absolutely confident and ready to embark on the product journey . I have a gut feeling , I could be a great fit for the CPO role in the next 5 years or under . Thanks for the clarity . I really appreciate you !
Keep it up
This is wonderfully articulated with all the key nuances.
I've enjoyed reading your blog on Medium 'the skills PMs needs to become a Director, VP or CPO' and listening to your podcast here. I totally agree with what you write and say. Thanks!
Grateful for the knowledge. Thank you Nikhyl
Awesome presentation. Very clear, insightful and applicable.
Thanks for such an insightful, crisp and clear presentation. Nikhyl's experience, proficiency and skills were reflecting through out the video based on how well he was articulating the content with his flawless communication!
Our pleasure!
This is super clear and helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Nikhyl, It's been a very interesting presentation and clearly distinguishes what it takes to transition from one to another. I can totally relate to your explanation. I would like to add one more distinction. As you transition through these roles, it is more to do with being a team player than an individual player.
This is great session. Thanks Nikhyl
Nikhil, explained it really well. especially with those analogy. This is super helpful for getting clarity as to what a director, vp and CPO should do. Thanks a ton
Damn! This video is valuable to another level!
This is still one of the best videos on the channel. You should convince Singhal to come back for another video.
Noted 😄
so true.. exactly my pain point: how to let go of "depth' for "breadth" ; can I trust my team and my counterparts and make them accountable
Thank you for this amazing insight.
Excellent presentation and delivery
Valuable information, thank you
Great description
Wonderful presentation!
This was fabulous
Thank you!
As a CPO that was very accurate although in my case the hardest part of my job is managing people's egos - not the actual product. Although that might be in part because I am a woman - and a minority 🙃
Very nice presentation!
Excellent presentation! Thank you Nikhyl!
Thank you kindly!
Would love to hear how group pm factors into this.
Very useful!
Glad you think so!
The one thing he forgot to tell - politics. No one ever gets promoted purely based on skill, experience and ability. Politics is a massive player, you can criticize me, but that is a fact.
terrific presentation, one of the best
Thank you so much!!!
Generally which title or role is highest in IT Organization .... VP or Director?
And in how many years we can achieve such position ?
This was a good talk but it did seem to make this assumption that there were inevitable stages to a company. The fact is that most real companies dont necessarily follow these stages.
The only skill needed to be a PM and successful in PM career is to Bullshit
