SKAI Kenya Karate Gasshuku and Championship 2022 ケニア空手合宿 ナイロビ 【Akita's Karate Video】
Isn't it amazing that all around the world, in so many different countries, people practice and speak the common language of Karate-Dō? How enjoyable to meet the Karateka from Kenya and Uganda during the last SKAI Gasshuku and championship in Nairobi, taking place in April 2022.
Many thanks to Sensei Klaus Martin, the managing board of SKAI Kenya, everybody involved and all the nice people who joined the event!

Greetings from Australia - A thoroughly enjoyable look at some Kenyan karate, lovely people and delicious food. I can see with my own eyes that there's some very good potential that, with the right instruction, can become excellent. They're already on the road to success with these coaching clinics under reputable instructors such as Akita Sensei. The future is bright for Kenyan karate-do.

Ossu!!!

Excellent Gasshuku 👏🏼👏🏼....we learnt a lot about our beloved martial art...I especially got a deeper understanding as regards our body bio-mechanics, axis, weight shifting, balance, center-line, compression/expansion, rotation and how to apply these concepts to execute techniques more efficiently & effectively ...thank you very much for giving us the opportunity & honour to train with you 🙏🏼... please come back to Kenya soon! ...Arigato Sensei.

Great video. I lived and worked in Kenya for over 5 years. I love this country. Also spent time living in the famed ‘flame trees of Thika’ area. Karate is also a big part of my life. Kenya and karate both have big places in my heart.

Osu Sensei; I perceived several things; if may I:
-You mention 28ºC as not so hot but that and altitude make training a bit harder. I do not like hot weather for training but you are from Japan; and I lived in Japan and yes; too hot for me but may be for you is just normal; like for these guys.
-The child with white belt at minute 6:00 for sure will have future (aided by his natural elongation)
-Most are tall or has long legs.
-The other Dojo with all the equipment, bag etc is more complete than most Shotokan Karate Dojo from around the World. I mean; if they actually use them.
-Most are natural flexible; that combined with long legs is an advantage for Keri waza
-Kata understanding (bunkai and oyo) is low as in most places
-The Food at the end let me hungry!
    Thank you for the video.
