    Not everyone has a setup with a rack standing in front of your mirrors. You could've used mirror clips on the top of the mirror and they would hold your mirrors without the help of the yoga ball. They also look pretty neat.

      Yes, you're right. However, I have a cement wall and it is challenging to to attach the clips. At any rate, I definitely enjoy the mirrors!👍

    Pro tip, lay out your mirrors on the wall, where every mirror meets at the seam black out a 2" space with black paint or Sharpe marker. That way you don't see the white wall behind your mirrors. Also I would have found the studs and screwed the j track to the wall then place your 🪞in the track with mirror mastic caulk. It sets faster and you won't have to wait a full day to set mirrors. Also for a clean look ,mitre a 45 degree edge on the j track staring at the bottom,then the vertical edges of the mirror. Set the mirrors and finally take the top j track channel and run a best of clear caulk inside the track then gently press the top track into place. Clean any caulk that got on to the vision part of the mirror with a flat razor blade. Have fun! Just a pro tip from your neighborhood Glazier- Matthew

    • @DiscoveringStrength
      @DiscoveringStrength  4 роки тому

      Well yes the glue does make it more or less permanent. Would be very difficult to remove. I chose to glue partly because I have a cement wall which makes it harder to use mounting brackets on the corners. I imagine you could still do that, but it's much more difficult.

    Im renting... my landlord wont allow me to glue it on the walls. Would it work if I get mirror clips and drill them through the concrete? I was thinking of getting couple 2x4's, mount them to the wall and use them to hold my mirror so I dont shatter the glass

    • @DiscoveringStrength
      @DiscoveringStrength  3 роки тому

      Yes, you can use the mirror clips as well. I didn't because I have a cement wall and it seems difficult to me to drill holes into it. If that's not a problem then that should work just fine. The 2x4 option would work too as long as you can attach them to the cement wall. Good luck!

      They're packaged in cardboard. They're fragile but fairly easy to bring home. The first bunch I purchased were actually already broken. I would ask to open them in the store so you can ensure they're in tact. However, when I returned them they refunded my $$ no questions asked.

      I went to Menards and have used these before. They’re right by the j channels. Called Era fixed mount mirror mounting clips. Each brackets is about half inch wide and then the mirror sits inside of a u channel/j channel. Then cheapo clips up top where there is no weight.

    @billmiller3425 2 роки тому +1

    Wait a minute...you mean that you didn't use ANCHORS through the channels into the walls and only used glue??? No, NO, NO. If those mirrors fall, they can and will kill you or cause SEVERE injuries. Earthquakes, vibrations in the walls, heavy winds, etc can and WILL break loose that glue. PLEASE do a better job of supporting those mirrors! If one of your kids is in there and that mirror falls...........
