In relation to $$ and price...a friend told me years ago-“you can shear a sheep many times, but you can only kill it once.” When you have a bunch of regular customers, you can be extremely fair in pricing and work for the regularly. They want to keep you busy.
Thank you for sharing. Question so what is the bottom rack or bracket called that one that is supporting most of the weight of the mirros. If you can point me the right direction on getting them for 1/8 for some mirros that i got. I trid looking for them online but i came across picture frame brackets instead that overlap each other. Also, you have a lovely dog. Thank you and looking forward to your replied.
Both Lowe's and Home Depot sell them. The biggest size that they both carry is 36x60 which is pretty big. Both sell them for $55 but the ones that Home Depot sells weigh significantly less than the ones from Lowe's (30 lbs versus 48 lbs). Home Depot also sells a longer j-mold or j-channel (72") which would fit two of the big mirrors. Lowe's j-mold/j-channel is 48" which makes it harder to fit some mirror sizes.
Hi Handyman, would you please assist me with some of your knowledge..? I have had professionals to install a huge mirror in my livingroom today (220cm×125). It's installed horizontally using frames (upper side and bottom). For the most part the result is fine, but there's quite a lot of distortions on the upper 15-20cm of the mirror - as well as a little bit a little to the side of the center of the mirror, so I'm not really happy with the result. Not completely unhappy either, just a little disappointed, considering a bought the mirror and installation from a shop specializing in glass and mirrors and paid a lot for it. Do you think there's anything that could be done to improve it? Or do you think that due to the size, distortions are inevitable? Should I give some feedback on it, or accept it as it is?
Guess they didn't want u to use mirror mastic? For something like that I think it looks tacky with clips at the top like that. But the mastic would take off all the wall if it ever had to be removed....
Hi! I’m just curious if you know why when I tried to put my mirrors side by side, the reflection is uneven? They were all leveled and they were a couple inches different in the reflection
This was never answered so I’m answering what I learned from a different video. While screwing the screws in, it was causing the slightest uneven difference in the j-channels and to fix it the guy went and measured the level for each mirror and then tweaked the screws until it was level.
You can find the mirrors at Home Depot.. I went this morning and they’re about $55 each for 36” x 60” .. you’ll need a J channel $10-15 depending on the length 1 1/2 “drywall screws $6 .. Mirror clips $4 .. oh and some drywall anchors in case you drill out of the studs hope that help, Good luck! 👍🏽
+Veranda Tales No but that is a very valid concern. These mirrors are not as thick as I would like. I did put the offer on the table to put them all on a backer board to make them stiffer and not contort like fun house mirrors. They look pretty good and the image is good enough for Irish dancing.
I saw some mirror kits come with a rubber strip to provide cushion between the bottom of the j bar and the mirror - is that necessary, or can I set the mirrors into the j bar without any cushioning?
Is there anything that looks better for the top? You have a nice silver trim at the bottom and then nasty looking clips for the top. Can't you get a nice trim to match the bottom?
Just installed 3 mirror similar to those, just not as wide. Used 4 mirror clips on each and the e-z anchors you used. Love those anchors. Quick and easy! Love your videos, especially when you speed them up. Have you tried the Franklin pro sensors to find the studs? I found it to be very accurate for my needs. Couldn't live without it.
Is there any reason you didn't use glue? Is glue necessary to use for any reason? Also - instead of using the clear tacks at the top, can you use another J Mold to keep the look consistent?
2 things: first, why didn't you just put the track up on top as well? Just wanted it to be an easier install? Any drawbacks to putting one up there? Second, I strongly advise against Windex. For mirrors, AC Delco Glass Cleaner is the best I've ever used. A can will last you a while.
These mirrors were light and pretty flimsy. The track I use would still be strong enough for a 50 pound mirror If you used good screws that go into the studs.
It wont hurt. All the new homes I built the mirrors had the black mirror glue on the back of them. The only problem is you can't get the mirror off with out ripping the wall apart and the mirror breaking.
thank you =). What do you call the things on the top that you used to hold the mirrors in place? Sorry this is my first project. In total, what things did you need to finish the installation of the mirrors?
where did you get your mirrors
Lowe’s sells them
@@elisscaliving5864 what was the size of them
@@truebengalsfan assuming 36” x 60” since Lowe’s is known well for them!
What do you call the bottom rail? The long piece of metal holding the mirrors up? Need to know so I can begin
J-Channel for mirrors.
This great. I thought you would actually have to glue mirrors to walls now I can do this and remove it easily.
do you think they added safety backing?

Clear setting blocks. 1/32" 1/16" 1/8" 1/4" will help with your gaps.
Hello I have a question when you put Silver J-Mold on bottom what screws did you use. Thank you
That yawn at the end is EVERYTHING! 5:33 Made me smile and warmed my heart. :)
where do you buy this mirrors?
I need some like this for a gym
Been looking for weeks on how to make my wall a mirror wall. Thank you. Easy to follow.
Yeah, tell a little about your gorgeous Dog. He/she is so cute. ❤️👍🏼
Very helpful! Thanks for sharing. Could you explain how do you screw when there is no stud?

Love your pup..star of the show! ;-)
Hello I have a question. How can I hang something in a mirror wall? I can't find any advice on internet
Use rubbing alcohol to remove the tape goo. With windex you gotta do a lot of scratching to remove it
Where did you get the mirrors and approximate size of each? Thanks.
And no comments from anyone on that cool tool-belt/vest? I've been looking for that! I see the link, thanks!
Where did you get the mirrors from? Having a hard time finding huge mirrors!

So when I go to Home Depot, what are the name of the mounting tools I need to mount my frameless mirror?
there is a section in the picture and mirror hanging section. There is a channel that goes on the bottom and clips that go around the edge.
The Handyman Ok. Thank you!
Thanks for the video, it helps a lot! I’m hanging 2 wall mirrors for a friend’s basement dance studio today.
Great job made it look easy... Do you know the size of the mirror?
I want to place mirrors on the walls of my garage. But there are tiles on the walls. can I place the mirrors on the tiles and how?
Would it look better or worse if you covered the whole wall with mirrors?
watched severan videos and yours was the best thank you
Hey, how much did the entire project cost, and where can I buy the mirror itself?

Where would I buy or order large glass sheets? Delivered or did you go pickup?
Home Depot
What are you scoring the wall with while measuring?
We’re did u get the track
I have a 60 inch long mirror, i can't find a J channel mount for it...any idea?
I love the door swinging shot. Looks so pro, even after I realized how it was panning!
thanks
Great job. Do you take apprenticeship? I mean if anyone wants to be a handyman and want to acquire skills from you. Before they be on their own.
Glad to see your Pittie back in a video! She's adorable. I have a blue/white pit. They are an amazing breed!!
where are u located? i'm in fishkill NY!!! Need u asap!!
Can you come do it for my room ! In dallas tx ! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
beautiful pit!!!! she's in good hands!!
Can you please list down the things you used in this video?
How did you make sure there is no pipeline or electrical wire ? Thank you
Are the mirrors backed with a board to stiffen them up?

Was your 160$ price including the labor and mirrors?
How high off the floor is bottom of mirror & how did you decide?
Size of those mirrors?
It's amazing how you find the time to do all these projects while filming The Blacklist
+The Jagers its my job. I do it every day all day.
3.18 That is deffo a dance move. Well I'm calling it that
Does he jump up there or do you have to put him up on the table?
She can jump. She climbs trees after squirrels too.
What size mirrors did you hang?
Omg this is exactly what I am looking for in my bedroom ! I wish you lived in NYC ! Can you tell me please what size mirrors you used ? Thanks
they are 24" x 60" from Home Depot
Hey, what are these hanging rails on the bottom of the wall called?
This is even more fun when I put it on 1.75 playback speed!!! Still laughing!
Hi! What is that bracket called that you put at the bottom to hold the mirror!
J-channel for mirrors
You never say what it is called!
I just told you its J- Channel
I apologize, in my excitement, I didn't see it. Got it now, thanks
I have a very heavy 10 foot mirror- would this j channel hold something very heavy?
$160 cash to hang 4 mirrors and it's a good deal...There is no way someone is willing to pay that much here :)
A-G $160 is a great deal. The company i work for would have charge around 300-350 for that job.
+TheThreeShooters $300 is a fair price.
The Handyman my clients usually leave the cash on the nightstand
I know nothing about this and that actually sounds pretty cheap to me honestly
Where did you buy all of the materials?!
Great video! Nice Dog:-)
I’m about to install my mirrors in my room. #proudDancer
Is there anything that looks better for the top? You have a nice silver trim at the bottom and then nasty looking clips for the top. Can't you get a nice trim to match the bottom?
I've lay 4 pieces of mirror together, but having off alignment issues between edges between them.....so it looks bad when crossing mirrors to mirrors.
What kind of screws did you use to secure the track to the wall while ensuring the screw heads didn't block the channel space for the mirror?
+Ian Roberts I used drywall screws.
Hey was wondering where you got them mirrors
Lowe’s sells them
I love this channel.
Does anyone know where I can buy the exact model?
Just installed 3 mirror similar to those, just not as wide. Used 4 mirror clips on each and the e-z anchors you used. Love those anchors. Quick and easy! Love your videos, especially when you speed them up.
Have you tried the Franklin pro sensors to find the studs? I found it to be very accurate for my needs. Couldn't live without it.
I have a stud finder but I forgot it at home that day.
How much is 1 panel of mirror?
What’s doggo’s name?
Nice work
Can you link me to the mirrors and channel?
Is there any reason you didn't use glue? Is glue necessary to use for any reason? Also - instead of using the clear tacks at the top, can you use another J Mold to keep the look consistent?
You can't put a track on at the top. If you use glue you will never be able to remove the mirrors.
Thank you!!
How would you do this on brick wall?
So where I get this mirrors??
Where do you buy mirrors like that?
HD
Hope you can make more videos about mirrors and glasses >:]]
Eric church moonlighting as a handyman? 👍🏼👍🏼
HA holy shitt I never realized who he looked like
I installed the j-channel perfectly level and the mirrors are still uneven (1/4" gap at the top between mirrors). Time to call a professional.
Put seat block on the side you need pick up. You can use different sizes. 1/16,1/8 or 1/4.
2 things: first, why didn't you just put the track up on top as well? Just wanted it to be an easier install? Any drawbacks to putting one up there? Second, I strongly advise against Windex. For mirrors, AC Delco Glass Cleaner is the best I've ever used. A can will last you a while.
It is impossible to install the track on the top. The track only goes on the bottom.
A good job
where did you get the mirrors???
hd
What is the metal track called
What hangers are you using?????? You don’t explain anything.
where did you order your mirrors from ?
Off the shelf at home depot
The Handyman how much is 1 mirror panel sir?
I've been meaning to ask for a long time now. What's up with that toilet seat on the wall in your workshop? Short video on that please!
That’s the old fashion way of hanging mirrors
How much for the mirrors
How heavy was each mirror? I'm looking to put up a frameless mirror that weighs around 40-50 lbs, could I do it the same way you did? Thanks!
These mirrors were light and pretty flimsy. The track I use would still be strong enough for a 50 pound mirror If you used good screws that go into the studs.
Thank you!! Have 2 studs to work with... Would you recommend using some sort of mastic glue to be on the safe side or not needed? Thanks again
It wont hurt. All the new homes I built the mirrors had the black mirror glue on the back of them. The only problem is you can't get the mirror off with out ripping the wall apart and the mirror breaking.
@@TheHandyman1 How did you get them to align with the reflection? My have such issues from mirror to mirror with the reflection being distorted.
What things do you need to hang the mirror? Like what's the metal bars called?
Its all sold at home depot in the mirror hanging section. I'm not sure what the bottom track is called. Its made for mirrors.
thank you =). What do you call the things on the top that you used to hold the mirrors in place? Sorry this is my first project. In total, what things did you need to finish the installation of the mirrors?
Mirror clips
I need that how do you put mirrors on a basement wall??
I have a video on that. I made a 2x4 wall and hung the mirrors on it. Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/jOGDVS0P5vk/v-deo.html
"What's this crazy hooman doing talking to a wall?"
-The Dog.
