Evie x yeah, but more specifically, everyone voted for themselves, then Rachel and Finn voted for Sam and Quinn, which gave them the win.
The vocals and overall performance those two gave during that performance. They outsang and outperformed everyone. Racism had to have been the only reason they didn’t win.

She physically assaulted multiple students, encouraged her cheerleaders to have eating disorders, harrassed gay/trans students regularly, undermined students' success, released private information and outed a popular student which resulted in her losing her reputation and being harassed, and even more. Sue was a horrible person and being right about one person doesn't excuse any of that.

Exactly!! The idea of someone who is in two singing groups (her church choir and glee club) not practicing at all is silly. How does someone get that level of talent without some sort of practice. How does a person remember all of the words and dances ... to two singing groups without practicing? I don't buy it, never did.

I have so much to say about Mercedes Jones. She severed VOCALS but was always overlooked for Rachel to sing solo or lead. But, when Mercedes was allowed to showcased those VOCALS she did it. My god, I love that girl, please put respect on MERCEDES JONES!!!
I have been watching a lot of glee videos lately (blame it on the quarantine) and I saw comments saying Mercedes voice wasn’t “fit” for certain songs and my thing is how would they know. They never gave her a chance to do songs outside of her “normal” r&b stuff. Except Will’s wedding they only gave her the big belting last note or high energy songs and the ad libs. They never gave her a chance to show her range. That’s why I wish the troubletones had lasted longer. They could’ve had different sectionals and the same regional and maybe the troubltones got disqualified because Shelby left (because there is no way new directions should’ve beat them). That would up the tension and keep Mercedes in the spotlight and not pushed to the back.
How Mr Shue wasn't fired for any of the shit he did always amazed me. As a highschool student we have no teachers like him and don't think I ever will 💀

Chris Colfer was NEVER used in a competition except for the one time he sang a duet with blaine when he was in the warblers. Maybe Kurt doesn’t really have the vibe they would want but still he was one of those people who could really carry a performance. Whenever him and Rachel sang together he was able to keep up with her vocally and I’m pretty sure there was an episode where they said he couldn’t dance but like ??? Not The Boy Next Door exists. His emotion is outstanding (I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Blackbird, As If We Never Said Goodbye) and I am outraged that the one time Mr Pedophile even thought about giving him a solo during a competition was conveniently right as he was transferring schools.

Sue was the one who wasn't afraid to call it like it is because, let's be honest, she was one of (and probably the ONLY one) of the people who had the same amount of authority and/or more than Will.
Think about it, the only time any of the students stood up to him is when their emotions were bottled up to the point they couldn't contain it anymore. Santana, Mercedes, and even Tina had a right to be angry when they were being treated unfairly. So yeah, Sue was bold sometimes, but she was one of the only ones who truly called out Will on his bs.

In my opinion, Rory definitely deserved better. His solo was amazing in “I can’t go without/you make my dreams”. I really enjoyed his other solos as well (Take Care Of Yourself, Blue Christmas and Home).

I felt like no one else was and Quinn and Tina are supposed to be decent dancers per shows claim. Finn and Rory looked like about to hit there faces on floor. Man un mirror eh and Sam hit sour note. I didn't love trouble tones performance either. Singing was good but performance eh.
Their performance against the troubletones was horrifying. I had to rewatch it the next day to see if I was tripping. The troubletones gave choreo AND vocals? Their Michael Jackson performance just gave off dry potato salad with raisins in it
Honestly i think you should do a series on each glee character and just talk about how the writers messed them up and what you would have done to improve their story and just what songs you would have liked to see them perform

I hated that episode because her anger was so valid but they waved it off like Rachel’s a senior , you’ll have your turn next year , Rachel works so hard she carries this glee club on her back. It pissed me off! You should have to audition for solos for one thing. There were other seniors in the club who could’ve got solos too. And every other week you’re talking about how we’re family and we can only win together then you turn around and say Rachel is going to win you the championship. The same Rachel that kissed Finn and lost you the championship the previous year?! I thought it would be nice if they actually addressed her concerns and worked them out instead of trying to put her back in her place.

Rachel not dancing actually hurt her in the long run because when she was taking that class with Cassandra July at NYADA, she struggled so much. She even left to get water in the middle of a dance rehearsal. Also I have to add, when Sue made the group Sue's Kids or whatever in that one episode, the talent and the energy was electric. While I don't agree with her segregating the Glee Club, I can say that she got the most talented students together in one room.

32:03 it’s what they deserved, as much as they didn’t use Mercedes & Santana, they were needed. Mercedes did all the runs, the songs sound BORING without her, like In We Are Young when she joined in I was like wow she really makes them better. Santana just had all the checks, she could PERFORM, it was awful how much they didn’t use her. Also, I hated when Rachel left in season 1 and everyone was like oh we need Rachel, personally I feel they would have done fine without her. They could’ve finally used the talent they had in the Glee Club. That episode could’ve been done better and fixed Rachel’s entitlement by the club realizing they don’t need her and her begging to come back. I would have preferred that more than them feeling hopeless without Rachel (as if Mercedes, Santana, Tina, & Artie weren’t right there to sing with Brittany & Mike able to carry in the dancing). I wonder what an episode would be like if Finn left, I’m assuming it’d be crickets in that Glee Club, cuz they didn’t need him.

I feel like the one reason Holly Holiday didn’t become the official glee teacher was because the producers realized that she would have done the right thing and give people their DESERVED solos and the show couldn’t handle anyone but Rachel and Finn taking the lead. Also can we acknowledge how even after the main group of glee kids left, Blaine didn’t get a lot of solos even though he was so good. They just always did group songs. Also real quick note, justice for Artie because in the first episode Rachel said I need a male lead who can keep up with me vocally as if Artie wasn’t right there who was 10x more talented that Finn. Like I love glee, but when it comes to who got he most attention and spotlight, they really messed up.

Honestly they did a lot of Glee members dirty by hyping a song they've done saying it should be considered for a competition and then completely brushing them aside to do another song lead by Rachel and Finn. Also, could you do yet another video about how you would have directed the show? Would really like to hear your opinion on the last season since everyone believes it could have saved the show. I also want to see what you would've done differently than what we got like not focusing half the plot on Rachel in New York after the 3rd season.

The vocals are subpar, the stage presence is nonexistent, and the dancing just yikes...he had no business being the lead! Rachel at least could sing amazingly and had the stage presence. It kind of was Finn and Rachel making out on stage because that was totally unprofessional. Like sure it wasn't everything that went wrong but Finn and Rachel kissing that was obviously not part of the show was one of the main things that made them lose most likely

I really think puck was so underused he NEVER sang at a competition and he could sing! And I feel he did have a stage presence bc of his confidence he was very charming imo! And the unholy trinity were so iconic I think they could’ve got their own performance on a stage! And I also love love Sam as a character and I think he and Quinn needed more songs together!!!!

17:25 it was simple a CRIMINAL ACT how underused Joe was, he was my favorite male singer in the show (even though Artie was better, I liked the way Joe sounded more). I feel like there didn’t need to be two specific people singing ballads. There didn’t need to be romantic chemistry when they sing, tbh I wouldn’t wanna watch that I wanna see TALENT. So for ballads it would have to be: Rachel & Kurt, Joe & Quinn, Quinn & Sam, Tina & Quinn, Rachel & Tina, Mercedes & Sam. And for seasons 4-5 I’d pick: Jake & Marley or Marley & Tina (but Tina wasn’t acting right those seasons so maybe just Jake & Marley).

Mercedes, Santana, & Artie had the most soulful voices imo. Like when Artie & Mercedes did “Rolling down the river” and that key change on “lean on me” & “crazy in love” gave me chills possibly some of the most memorable covers on that show

one of my favorite performances is the unholy trinity’s version of toxic. On the costume topic I have to say, even though they didn’t keep up this theme, the glee club was supposed to be extremely poor. I think they tried to have that sort of idea with their costumes. Also didn’t they sew their costumes one performance? I think Mr shue should have helped with that. It is unfair to make your students do everything including the costumes, honestly did Mr shue do anything cause it feels like Rachel and fin decided themselves that they were going to be the leads and Mr shue did nothing to stop them. Other than his music choices for performances he really did nothing, he even tried to keep his students in a room just days before nationals to write an original song, He didn’t even help them! He decided instead to go play and fulfill his failed dream of singing on a broadway stage. He was really irresponsible. Great video, I really enjoyed it, and sorry for my rant

That´s what I just noticed. I just started watching the show. They destroyed the Unholy trinity and Brittany and Quinn never talked to each other. Apparently Naya and Diana bonded but Heather joined a little later. Cold it be that they didn´t get a long or it was just bad writing? Same with Rachel. Did she ever have just one female friend on the show?

Kurt also would have been great for a "one person and a microphone" ballad, he was incredible at really emotional performances when given the chance, and his voice was so unique when used properly. Like Blackbird, As If We Never Said Goodbye, etc. I feel like they never let him be a male lead because he had the range to sing higher, but the stuff in his lower register was some of my favorites of his!

Aside from season 2 regionals, Kurt got almost nothing in terms of competitions, and who was that with? The warblers!
What did he get with the new directions? He got 2 lines in lovin touchin squeezin in season 1 regionals (with finn not on his own). He got the second verse in don't stop believing which was cut from the episode. Nothing in season 2. 4 lines in abc in season 3 sectionals and 4 lines of paradise by the dashboard light in season 3 nationals. That's it.
With his storyline with sebastian, he and santana/blaine should have had a badass duet at regionals and kicked the warblers' ass. At least people like blaine, tina, and artie got more stuff in season 4/5 and mercedes and santana got the troubletone numbers.

Finn should have been kicked out the door. He can’t dance and his voice is only good for stand alone rock and roll songs because the second Blaine or Artie hopped in, they sounded much more rock and roll than he did. Finn sounded like Kids Bop doing rock and roll and that’s probably why the network even had him in to begin with.

Finn was only necessary to get the more popular characters to join the Glee club really, like Puck, Quinn and Santana. He wasn't a great singer, he sounder overly autotuned the entire time he sang, he looked like a potato, and his character was shitty, just like his love triangle. There's no but. He was trash. The only reason he was there was to spice up the plot. Literally any other character would have and could have done a better job. Even Puck, really.
