- In this video, I show you and tell you how to play the trumpet. It is a complete lesson for beginners, and I go over the basics of using the mouthpiece, playing notes, and being able to hold the instrument properly. Overall, playing the trumpet is really easy to do, and if you practice properly, you will be able to learn the basics in a matter of a short amount of time.

Last year, every other grade 5 class was playing an instrument, except my class. This year, in grade 6, I had to learn how to play the trumpet. Today it was my first time taking home an instrument, and this really helped!
I use to hold it wrong, but now i know how to hold it right. Im still bad with buzzing my lips, but I think I'll be able to do that soon as well.
I played the trumpet in grade & high school during the 80's & 90's. I haven't played sense I graduated in 98. I just recently found mouthpiece and decided to pick it up again. Can't wait to start again.

This is very helpful video for ppl like me . One silly question maybe if you please. When you blow in to the trumpet ,do you just blow silently or make a sound along blowing like you do in video?
So you should hear a buzz when you have the right mouthshape and your mouth isn't on the trumpet. You can look up what the buzz sounds like and then bring it to your mouth. Idk if that helps

Hey does anyone know how to clean a trumpet? I got my trumpet today for a school band thing that has been used before. (The mouth peice was of course cleaned though) but I really want to disinfect the inside of it cause I don’t want mold growing and also there’s probably all the diseases known to mankind but I have no idea how to clean it and I’m probably going to end up breaking it if I try. can someone please help?

Someone left a case at our "up for grabs" bin at my apt. It looked like an instrument case, and it was. It contained a 'Designed by Vincent Bach BUNDY The Selmer Company USA' trumpet and mouthpiece. Serial # in the 600,000's. Any further info on it would be greatly appreciated.
