Lost for Words | A Conversation with God | Spoken Word Poetry

- This spoken word poem is the hardest one I've ever written, but I realized that God isn't afraid or intimidated by our emotions. He wants us to be honest and open with Him during our times of grief, confusion, anger, lostness. Whenever we open ourselves up to Him then He will respond with a truth and a comfort that is greater than our circumstances. It is okay to be angry. It is okay to ask questions. God will not leave us in those times. He is with us in the pain. I hope that this poem gives you hope and a freedom to talk with Him where you are at.

Thank you for sharing this piece. I am in tears, for its meaning runs deep. We all have such moments in life. Many of them in fact. Faith is something in us that is tested often, but in our hearts we must always stay true to that faith, no matter what. God is there. This has been proven to me more times than I can count. By HIS grace, I still breathe, and enjoy this amazing life that has been gifted to me. Thank you Father.

Honestly, none of us have the full courage, everyone who is coming to God is someone who was afraid and this is our peace
God is real... God is the father and Jesus is his son, and he died for our sins, so every sin you commit has already been paid for
And it’s not about being religious, it’s about having a real intimate relationship with him, so u can build with him
Reach out to God, he won’t ignore you

I wanted things to end for myself many years back, but I can see God's hand in every point of my life, even pain caused by others and some of my own stupid decisions. He is using All. Of. It. Black Jesus talks of little else but doom and pain and fear
Awaiting for the myriad as judgment day draws near
You might have lived unblemished, as pure as driven snow
He’ll pick your life to pieces, the sins you didn’t know
And with the vilest criminals he’ll bid you join the file
Begin the march, the slow, slow march to where the sinners dwell
The fiery pit of deepest Hell, you trudge for mile on mile. -
And while you’re marching with the doomed you ponder of the past
How could you please this pedant, this stickler for the rules
You’ve spent your life on bended knees and tried best to comply
You believed the love returned, betrayed the die was cast
Your whole life lost for nothing gained, this despot you decry. -
Realization’s crept into your mind the Demon is your God
You wouldn’t treat an animal the way he treats mankind
He molds them from the clay and plays the game of life
And when they fail on any point he flings them from his mind
Into a burning pit of torture, perpetual pain and strife. -
All your life you were told, that Satan was the snake
But now you’re on that walk of death you’ve made a big mistake
For Satan never promised a future filled with bliss
A Paradise that never was, God’s lies, all life forsake
His book of stories all are false, your God has been remiss
And you have wasted all those years, the years you can’t retake. -
That is the long, long story you were told from younger life
And you believed what you were told and pressed into your soul
But man is God and God is man, the goal complete control
Fortune favors those that think, the wayside those that don’t
For no one knows the fate of man, when life’s deep draught runs dry
Despite the claims of Prophets false, we’ll find out by and by.

I don’t think it’s right to curse at God but I will say God cares about every single emotion we feel even anger to this degree. God knows each persons heart and I think he’s such a merciful father he understands but that still doesn’t make it right.

Very powerfull spoken words but I wish you didn't use the word Hell talking to God, you can be angry but still respect God for who he is.
