Fjord Fuzz - Odin and EMBLA Fuzz Pedals

Mr Jack Duxbury brought me round a couple of his pedals to try out the Fjord Fuzz ODIN and the Fjord Fuzz EMBLA. The Odin is a simple 1 knob fuzz with a switchable octave circuit and the Embla is a more refined type of fuzz. In this video, I look at the controls and tones out of these Norweigan beasts. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Thought I wanted the Odin (after the Andertons video demo) but not being able to play chords is no no - also, it seems a bit one dimensional and thus, a pedal I would tire of.. Was least interested in the Embla, but I would rather have that due to its tone shaping as I like to dial in exactly the type of sound to suit the mix. One thing you didn't demo was do the pedals clean up if you roll off the volume on the guitar? Or is it baked in distortion/fuzz..?

The Embla cleans up like a champ.

I have the Odin v2, and the regular gain stage is like an overdrive and a fuzz all at once, depending on how much gain you add. And yes, chords sound great. Stepping on the octave mode for the single-note leads, or double stop insanity, then back to the regular for the riffage.
