Thanks for the sweet video, boys! And sorry about the enormous book of instructions... I thought I'd clear a couple of things up, as some people may ask me about these: BERSERK is definitely based on the Fuzz Face. For maximum original content, set all knobs to 100% and disengage the push buttons. The thickness knob set at fully clockwise is 2.2uF, same as the original Fuzz Face. you can turn it down to 10nF, which cuts a huge amount of bass coming into the circuit. It also cuts back on gain and overall volume. The same knob can be found on EMBLA! Wah in front? Engage the "Z" button. This adds a gain stage. There's a trimmer on the inside that lets you fine tune this gain stage only. It also allows for very Tonebendery tones, such as prominently displayed in this video. Too little output? Running straight into a non-buffered Uni-Vibe? Engage the amp button to add two space echo preamps in series after the fuzz. This function also has a trimmer on the inside. You can set the output to be equal to the regular fuzz if you like, or add output gain. The original Fuzz Face was built to stay almost completely unity gain with your clean tone and while there is a way to fix this issue, fixing it also introduces other issues, so adding gain stages is a better way to go in my opinion! There's a third trimmer on the inside for transistor biasing and I put a recipe for setting it correctly on the PCB itself, so please get way into that for your own fun! ODIN's huge volume knob only affects output volume, but there's so much output volume on tap that turning it down reduces how much the preamp in your amplifier is overdriving, so that's why it kind of feels like turning down your guitar's volume knob. In a way, ODIN's volume knob is your amp's gain knob! The trimmers on ODIN only adjust your LED brightness. The gain knobs are fully externalised on this version! thanks again!
Cheers. Honestly I was actually put off the pedals by Pete's demo here (Can't fault Rabbea) so appreciate the clarification. I'm on a fuzz journey at the moment so might give the Berserker a try!!
@@adrianhjordan1981 Haha it's mostly my fault for making it seem more elaborate and complicated than it actually is. BERSERK is just a well rounded fuzz face type circuit with a few very useful tricks. There's not an awful lot to it, but I did spend about 6 months getting everything just right!
@@FjordFuzz Hey guys, I've never opened up my Odin v1 before - it came from Andertons in a plain box with no information, so I didn't know there were internal pots. They are labelled "Less Gain" and "More Gain" separately - can you tell me how they work? Obviously I could imagine how one pot would give more or less gain, but how do both work at the same time? Thanks!
that was a good vid. Very funny with those papers. Currently looking for a fuzz face/tonebender type fuzz and stumbled on this. THe Berserk looks good.
Nothing wrong with a detailed manual. If he had read it, having the knobs’ functions in mind would’ve made for a more informative demo. Thanks to fjord fuzz for the concise breakdown. Pete hit the spliff one too many times before this one. Love the fortissimo logo. So much. The Odin v1 was already my dream octave fuzz - now I want this one. Trimmers for only the LED brightness…:D my blue would be LIT - the idea of the snow cap for octave always made me drool. We’re not worthy! 🙇♀️ 🤘🏼 🙇♀️
Some say that the hugely popular ‘heart’ symbol was originally designed to mimique a girls formful rear end. Upside down, it is basically a bottom. As in bottom end. Bass. Get it?
They are very good and reasonably priced. But if you want a similar vibe but the ability get long sustain. Add to that from the same pedal you can get near Doom like lows then check out the ...All Pedal Love Machine. It is a very beefed up take on the classic Lovetone Big Cheese. $200.0 USD. Trust me when you hear it you will have a WTF moment, lol. It is that impressive.
I bought an Odin on the strength of the original video, and it sounded great but I've barely had a chance to use it due to The Situation (tm)... feel a little bummed there's already a v2. Hope my original holds up to closer scrutiny when I get playing more again. (I have just typed all that before watching the video... always a good idea... so maybe I'll feel better by the end ;) )
You guys wanna do a video that'll get about a billion views? Show us how to reproduce the guitar sound on Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky. Yea I know his fuzz was built into the guitar but I figure if anybody can get this sound it would be you guys using some kind of fuzz pedal or combination of pedals.
This is super confusing so I hope I’ve got this right. Dutch Pete is in fact Danish which is where the Vikings come from but although he is playing Viking pedals the pedals are in fact from Norway, but they are named after Odin who doesn’t come form Dutchland, Denmark or Norway but Asgard?
The Sunn 0))) is not really a fuzz circuit, it is based on a proco rat. Awesome pedal, i own the JPTR fx Katastrophe, its basically a very similar pedal to your Sunn 0)))
Gotta say, Pete was not at his best in this video. Really didn't do these pedals justice and it feels like a tiny bit of research before the video would have made a world of difference....

Literally getting my Odin v2 delivered today. I ordered from Anderton’s ;) So excited!
Cool. Pete letting Rab., have a go on his number 1 guitar, now that’s love ; )
Nice Porcupine Tree riff, Rabea, good to know you're a fan!
I came in to say that as well, nice catch
Psh. Call me when you have fuzz pedals made FROM vikings.
❤❤❤❤
It's made with real bits of viking so you know it's good.
Hello family ! I'm always happy when you present all the class effects for a guitar. And guitar models and brands. Thanks.
Fjord Fuzz are making the best fuzz pedals on the market. Absolutely brilliant.
The first few strums in the intro reminded me of Tool's Pneuma. Gnarly as hell fuzz, love it!
If you like this tone check out the Doomcaster on the Does it Doom YT channel\m/
Great episode. Tasty riffs, good tone. You guys need to do an episode on Kingsley Pedals. More people should know about them.
"upside down heart indicates THICCNESS". That is no heart, sir.
Surprised Pete didnt pick up on that immediately :)
Bottom end.
That's no moon
Rabea’s face when Pete turned off the fuzz was hilarious
It’s like a fuzz from the future . Like someone would use this pedal at a bar in Star Wars
that was a good vid. Very funny with those papers. Currently looking for a fuzz face/tonebender type fuzz and stumbled on this. THe Berserk looks good.
I´m into fuzz and I've heard several, however these are on another level
That intro was sick!
Definitely 👍
looked on the unverified section of tagboard fx and i found a layout for a mjolnor fjord fuzz . wow , i like it .
The look on his face when the fuzz stopped haha!
Acapulco Gold with controls. I like it.
Love my Odin pedal 🙌🙌
I’ve wanted one of these for awhile now
Rebea and Danish Peter make a great combo!
Rabea: “plays at 102 dB”
Pete: “”Maybe a little more volume”
Very Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan and James Iha. I like these pedals!
I could watch Pete and Rabea interact about anything. Their chemistry is so hilarious
I have the original Odin. It’s a Fantastic pedal
The tones outta the Berserk are amazing...
My favorite “new” company
For en herlig lyd! Knallpedaler hvor det er tydelig at dere har tenkt på alt :)
Nice! :-)

Pull out the longships it's time for a tone raid! Cheers Pete and Rabea!!

Argh, love the sneaky Porcupine Tree riff!
Fuzz + Bea = ❤️❤️❤️
1 Fjord Odin + 1Marshall + 1 LP= VALHALLA
Sick combo!
Some Porcupine Tree riffing, me likey!
Me: okay this sounds rad. Pete: "and then the octave" 7:20 Me: 😵
Hej hej Peter, ha det godt til vi ses igen!
Lovely chewy sounding fuzz, and a great design too. Porcupine Tree "Shallow" at 6:55 anyone?
Cool colour Tele
That’s Pete’s priceless guitar, I guess he let Rab play it today
Bersek or Embla for a first fuzz pedal please ?
What’s the difference between Odin 1 and now Odin v2?
Fuzz, the greatest effect of all time

Yeah, turns out it's fine... ;)
They should collaborate with JPTR FX 😊
Agreed
Fuzz pedals + rabea go together like PB and jelly in a sandwich.
The first oden landed here in OR. USA,,,,,And I love it!!!! Think that upside down heart is,,,,cute little ass,,,,hahaha but thats just me
Pray to the distortion gods today 🙏🏻🤴🏻
Did I hear a cheeky little bit of Porcupine Tree in there Mr Bea?

I want Pete's tele so bad
Was somebody eating fish and chips while playing with the Berserker earlier?
Link a TS 1 in there?
Why isn't Rabea wearing any pants?
Pete, will you be my Scandinavian friend?
Cool

Odin was actually an immigrant to Norway from what is now Turkey. His name back then was Wotan or Wodan, "The Wanderer".
Who’s Dutch Pete?
@@sambroxguitar And what is Dutchland?
He is referred to as Danish Pete, not Dutch Pete. And the vikings lived in both Norway and Denmark.
@@JessieThorne886 And there is no Dutchland...
Sees purple tele:
“You’re not Danish Pete” 😐
still not as good as my EarthQuaker Sunn 0))).
But still good , love the design and they look more expensive than I thought they are
The Sunn 0))) is not really a fuzz circuit, it is based on a proco rat. Awesome pedal, i own the JPTR fx Katastrophe, its basically a very similar pedal to your Sunn 0)))
A shame Pete didn't play in this one.

Geez Danish Pete you just runed it for me! After this you’ve left nothing to gain.
I think the native Americans found America first!!!!
Let’s at least agree it wasn’t Columbus!
Im in pedal Valhalla😂
Fuzzy Wazzy... :)...../
Mere dansk Pete
Han skal bare ikke gentage den gang de spillede Kaj og Andrea…
More Rob Chapman, Captain Lee, and Rabbea.
Muddy fuzz...not a fan
Save your money and Buy a Gorilla Amp .
Always turn off once I see that Rab guy in the videos.
