This transported me back in time, standing between my Momma and Daddy in a little country church. Oh how simple things were back then, in my eyes as a child. All these years later, as a recently new Great Grandma my faith still looks up to Him ! Think you for this beautiful hymn, sung on Holy Ground !
As Coronavirus and COVID - 19 spread like a wild fire, I am at peace because I know my Redeemer liveth. This is a song I sang over 30yrs ago yet God reminded me of the song last night and during the the day until I had to search it on YT. We will fear no evil/sickness for our God is with us.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (June 16, Pentecost 4), we sang this as our Closing Hymn. It is #759 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Ditto for me as I filled in at a local Presbyterian Church. I played verse 1 as the Choral Call to Worship. On a personal note, I saw The Gaithers in March 2004 at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.
My faith looks up to Thee, Thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior Divine; Now hear me while I pray; Take all my guilt away; Oh, let me from this day Be wholly Thine. 2 May Thy rich grace impart Strength to my fainting heart, My zeal inspire; As Thou hast died for me, Oh, may my love to Thee Pure, warm, and changeless be, A living fire. 3 While life’s dark maze I tread, And griefs around me spread, Be Thou my Guide; Bid darkness turn to day, Wipe sorrow’s tears away, Nor let me ever stray From Thee aside. 4 All thru life’s transient dream, Until death’s sullen stream Shall o’er me roll, Blest Savior, with Thy love, Fear and distrust remove; Make me Thy grace to prove Transform my soul.

"History has tested our faith; wars, atrocities, injustices, and natural disasters have, over the centuries, made believers wonder if there is a God, and if so, where is he when we suffer? But nothing has tested our faith so much as the human mind itself, that both naturally needs to worship a God of awesome creativity and unfathomable order, but at the same time, tries to reduce this majesty into someone we can control: a God created in our image. Thankfully, the God who created our intelligence in the first place doesn't shrivel when we use our minds to question his existence. He holds us until we cease our struggling and finally surrender to his embrace."
I am so glad that there is only one God. I am glad that people like you don't have the power to control the air I breathe in or any other aspect of my life. I am glad that you will not be the one to determine who spends eternity with God. What do all these translate to? That you are nothing and have no power to create anyone in your image.

I am eagerly awaiting that day when we can introduce ourselves as disciples of Christ; not of men! Did Luther die for you on the Cross?
What Love ....What Grace , that no matter what Sins we have committed he forgives us ......Thank You Jesus !

Blessed the Lord Oh my soul.. I love this prayerful song of faith. 🙏
God be with you all throughout life and after
How I wish to visit Jerusalem and see all the places where my Lord spent His days when came to earth!
Praise the Lord
My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior Divine;
Now hear me while I pray;
Take all my guilt away;
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine.
2
May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire;
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire.
3
While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my Guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.
4
All thru life’s transient dream,
Until death’s sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll,
Blest Savior, with Thy love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Make me Thy grace to prove
Transform my soul.
Great song for believers
Amen!

@@hannahnickelsoprano Thank you very much for your time writing all that. May God bless you abundantly and keep you healthy perennially!
you need a hair cut
Dave Malyon Samson got a haircut, and he lost both eyes.
Take care and God loves you.
