Best not to rely on the dashboard warning for oil level warning. If the sensor fails you could run out of oil which will be disastrous. Check your oil once a week using the dipstick if your vehicle is fitted with one.
That's what I do once a week check your oil and water 💦 screen wash and the and the tyres inside because there might be plenty of tread on the outside but bald on the inside
It's always good to have an idea of how much oil the engine consumes under normal use. That way you get an idea when something changes. This is even more important when you're planning an expedition or massive European adventure! (And if ever you see the oil warning light then it's best to pull over immediately as it could be terminal - you should at least measure the oil level and give the engine a visual check to make sure you don't have a major leak)
@@TheJLAshley that’s right. Your engine is so important. Popping the bonnet and checking the fluids give you a chance to have a quick look at everything else at the same time. I usually keep a can of the correct oil in my van to top up so when you do use it you know that you are using the correct oil and not any old oil that the petrol station has on sale. Modern engines do need the correct oil, especially if you have a diesel particulate filter in your exhaust. You should only use low SAPS oil.
@@TheJLAshley yes that’s true. This vehicle had some work done on it recently and given the nature of the work I would have expected the garage to have changed the oil. If that’s the case and if the vehicle left the garage fully topped up it hasn’t gone very far before the oil level dropped enough to get a dashboard warning. I’m wondering if it is burning or losing oil. My peugeot boxer can go from one oil change to the next having used hardly any oil at all.
When the oil light comes on on your dash, stop immediately or your engine will blow up. Do not pass go Do not collect £200. Get oil from nearest garage. Walk there! 🚶♀️
I never managed to get to the Gower when me and mum had our big motorhome and I've not been back to South Wales since mum passed and I felt I had to sell the van. So wonderful to see the beautiful views in Wales! 💕 The drone footage of the "Smugglers Hole" was incredible!! Wishing you both safe travels as you continue on your epic journey in Morgan!! 💝
Janine & Liam are always cheerful & happy despite the ups and downs of vanlife ( which is good to see). I wouldn't pay £100 per meal because I couldn't afford it either. Love 🥰 the vlog and love 💞💕 both Liam and his lovely wife Janine. I have already had some blackberries off my blackberry bush and yes they are early this year. The sunflowers and other flowers are beautiful.
Brilliant video. I love the way you refer to little sweet shops as tuck shops Janine, Liam your take off of the Welsh accent was so funny. All the beaches you visited are so lovely but just wait until you get to Pembrokeshire.....it's stunning over here, so much to see and the roads aren't too bad either. What you've heard is right though, they don't like wild camping much at all, which is such a shame, a few have spoilt it for the many. Enjoy your week, hope to see you while you are down this way 😊
When I first went to the Gower I was blown away (literally) it was so windy, but, joking aside I really was blown away by it's beauty and the clear waters. Your face was a picture when you knew you could park on the beach....made me smile....loved the video as always x

I spent my childhood on that beach. I hope you enjoy South Wales as much as I'm enjoying your videos. Brightest blessings to you xx 😊
Great video again, guys! If we’re on a slope the wrong way around for sleeping, we just sleep with our heads at the other end of the bed. No need to move the whole van, just the pillows! 🤗
The land speed record was set on Pendine by Donald Campbell in the 30's in a car called Bluebird (not Blackbird!). I think it's about 8 miles long. Amazing beach.

Happy belated anniversary guys. Great video last one and recent in wales Gower peninsula. You forget how beautiful the UK is I want to visit all these places again. You make a mean scone Liam lol. Thank you for sharing all these adventures with us. The food always looks so delicious 😋 a visit to the Caribbean sounds just the job. Love the guy who serves the Caribbean food from his van. It looks so nice love a bit of spice.
I thought the sea was going to come in before you left 😆 Maybe you will go back there another time and eat earlier. Lovely drone shots again. That snakey river was gorgeous, and the smuggler’s cave looked interesting. We are so lucky to live in such a green and pleasant land. Not too many holiday makers so far. I’ll be interested to see how busy everywhere gets in the next few weeks, and how many vegan eateries there are in Wales. Stay safe and happy travels x
Thank you so much. I prefer your videos to anything on Netflix. Hubby and I are gonna try and follow your footsteps on our next trip out in Beryl. our Benimar. There is so much to see and so little time as we are 70 but.... very, very lucky. The Beach looked lovely as did the food. I never knew that I could enjoy watching what people eat. x
Pendine sands is huge, they used it for races but not sure if they still do. I love Wales,, North and south. Thanks for sharing so many beautiful beaches and scenic views ❤
Great video. Well done for spotting the building in the cave, it was well hidden and I don’t know how you could actually get into it without climbing gear! I wonder if there’s access up to it at low tide or if you need to be in a boat. Great beach parking and what a lovely parking attendant. Thanks as always for sharing a really interesting video

Hello!🏴 Glad you're back visiting South Wales and enjoying! If you haven't passed it yet Church Doors Cove, near Manorbier is well worth a visit... Cute little Cove and you can climb through a hole in the rock at low tide and end up on a massive Skrinkle Haven Beach. Pretty cool! Love seeing what adventures you 3 are getting up to! 🥰 Xx
I have been lucky to eat at the restaurant on Oxwich Bay, the owner and Head Chef are friends of some family members. It is very nice but the best thing is the view of the beach and bay from inside the restaurant. But the Gower is so beautiful.
I really enjoyed seeing the Gower on your travel vlog. I live down the road in a place called Llanelli. It’s about a 15 min drive away. We have a beautiful beach by us and we have one of the best beaches in Wales in a place called Burry Port, Cefn Sidan beach. We don’t really appreciate where we live all the time and take it for granted. Wales looked so beautiful in your vlog and I hope you enjoyed. You will love Saundersfoot and Tenby. Narbeth and Amroth are lovely as well.
Just watching your vlog ....and the places where you are are very fortunately for me is where me and my family when they were young..used to go for our holidays used to go ..because living in Hereford we are right on the welsh border ...you are in for a great time all of that coast is stunning enjoy. ...oh by the way one of my favorite places of all time ...is polzeth in Cornwall ...the first time was in 1969.and there was no one there ...and over the years it’s grown and grown.....anyway enjoy.......

The sea is warm at black rock sands in wales and you used to be able to park on beach there too.
Look forward to that 😍
Fantastic video cheers us all up x
Hey guys! What beautiful views....I envy you so much, thank you for taking me with you both on your journey...take care xx💚
Yeah it's interesting that I think international holidays are officially back!
I never knew that I could enjoy watching what people eat. x
Thank you, and best of luck in Beryl 💚🤙
Another wow video belated best wish for your anniversary. Enjoy your next adventure and stay well x pete 👍 😊
Thank you Peter 👍
Pendine sands is huge, they used it for races but not sure if they still do. I love Wales,, North and south. Thanks for sharing so many beautiful beaches and scenic views ❤
😲😲
Great video. Well done for spotting the building in the cave, it was well hidden and I don’t know how you could actually get into it without climbing gear! I wonder if there’s access up to it at low tide or if you need to be in a boat. Great beach parking and what a lovely parking attendant. Thanks as always for sharing a really interesting video
Beautiful 💕 Wow to actually park on the actual beach ! I bet the water as it was coming in would have been warm to swim in , coming in over the warm sand ❤ Look forward to the next one , hope your journey to come nit as bad as you think it might be . 🤞
You’re making me hungry!! Super film guys. Keep it coming.
Haha good stuff
Hi guys it's beautiful scenery and amazing coastline. Roads do look a little better than cornwall or devon. Great video enjoyed it guys thanks😉
How lucky you are 🙏
Just watching your vlog ....and the places where you are are very fortunately for me is where me and my family when they were young..used to go for our holidays used to go ..because living in Hereford we are right on the welsh border ...you are in for a great time all of that coast is stunning enjoy. ...oh by the way one of my favorite places of all time ...is polzeth in Cornwall ...the first time was in 1969.and there was no one there ...and over the years it’s grown and grown.....anyway enjoy.......
I love Pembrokeshire Tenby, Solva and st David’s are my favourite places to visit there x

We used to holiday in Wales when the kids were young lovely place Why don't you make separate videos on the cooking with more detail looks good food 😊
Stayed overnight at the Gower Heritage last week - remembered you going there so we checked it out! Had some lovely vegan cake and cider and the lady in the shop remembered you when I said that’s how we found out about it 🙂
