BMW G87 M2 Pushed HARD on The Race Track!! *GREAT FIRST IMPRESSIONS*

- Hey everyone, welcome back to Daily Downshift! Last Saturday we finally took the BMW M2 G87 to the race track since it recently completed it's break in service. This was my first time at this particular track and of course the first time doing it in a manual vehicle. Things didn't start off so hot and I was having a hard time balancing the car and managing my inputs.. but thankfully with a few sessions under my belt I started feeling a lot more confident and starting pushing more aggressively! DDT at Mosport is a lower speed, highly technical track so the fact that the G87 was able to easily handle it and excel speaks volumes to it's capabilities. Enjoy the video!

Hey man great JOB! i am a new sub but i have to say i have seen a few videos and i am def wanting an M2 as a fun car.
I lost over 400lbs of weight and as a celebration and treat to my self i want to get into the world of M. You have totally sold me on the G87 M2 vs the F87. Thank you maybe ill have to document my story and progress as well thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome video mate. Try moving your seat closer to the steering wheel so your arms aren't so stretched out, this might help with staying in place in the seat as you can push yourself back into the seat more when you go through corners. I have the same problem as I'm paralysed from the chest down and I have no core stability and I track my car with non-buckets.
That should help me quite a bit until I get buckets, thanks for the tip!

Do you have a sim setup? Feel like it would help a lot with confidence on using manual and heal-toe downshitfting on a track and its preeeetty fun!
I do not, always considered getting one but then again the money can go towards more car mods :D

Is it just the editing that didn't show you torque your wheel afterwards to spec, with the tire just kissing the ground? Just a comment for safety reasons. P.s. looks like a really fun track.
Don’t worry I’m super paranoid about lug nuts being torqued. I torqued em to 104lb ft with my torque bar, just didn’t show it in the video 😁
Get an eventuri intake you get torque back as it allows turbos to spool instantly so I hear. When mine arrives I will be getting that setup.

@@carcosaterp3393 Hope so, I have some that I'll be putting on fairly soon. In 3rd and 4th, there is literally ZERO torque under 3500RPM
So, correct me if i’m wrong. But the 8 speed auto supposedly corrects the lag in 3 and 4 gear over the manual…
Really surprised to see, how few new M2 have the bucket seats, plenty available at dealerships in my country. Zero have the bucketseats…
Because it’s a 9k option and can only get the whole package not just seats it’s dumb
80% of the M2's on the road right now are HEA spec models. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think any HEA's came with buckets.
