I don’t know him but I see the goodness in Mr. Dana’s face! God bless him! Thank you to everyone who recognized and honored this wonderful man. He deserves all of the love because he gives so much of it!!!
These people support the same people that cause young folks to struggle. The same oppressors who want to force young kids into jobs like McDonald’s and Wendy’s to work till they’re shriveled up like raisins.
This is the world should be doing. Instead of being bully, appreciate people who are working hard to makes a difference in others. God bless those who strive to make a better world for everyone to live in peace.
Omg... All the anger in the world has been getting me down lately, I'm so glad i found y'alls channel. Y'all got me uplifted and bawlin lol. Thanks for your great work!
This video is unbelievable! I’ve cried each time I watch it. We need to recognize more people like Dana!! They are all out there and are the lifeline of our cities!
Oh my goodness!!!! After the guy said so beautifully to him that his mother is looking down at him, then he says, “Oh! Who is that man coming through?” FMe I lost it so bad!!!!! Congratulations to you sir!!! I think the 3 blind mice (keeping it safe without offending anyone at all) can even see how damn loved and appreciated you are to the whole community!!! I already bloody love you myself and I don’t even know you!!! Stay true and stay strong for yourself, your family and everything that you believe in. Sending my love and best wishes to you from a state far away from you called Victoria, Australia. You touched my heart so much. xxx
I've always admired people who get up everyday, and try to make somebody else's life better. It takes an unselfish mindset, to do that. I'm not saying every human being is automatically selfish. It's just that some people seem to see themselves, in everyone. And if you love yourself, it's a lot easier to love everyone else.
Dana!!!! I am so proud of you and so grateful to know you. Because of your crazy-curiosity-meets-ACTION-personality… our paths crossed just as you have crossed so many kids’ paths. You are a role model for Keanen and me. We are ALL better for knowing you. Stay strong. We lift you up! We love you, sir~
I had an awesome HS principal as well. He encouraged his students to do our best. Unfortunately, he died from cancer the summer after I graduated. You never showed he was sick and suffering. Strong, kind, loving, and invested in the future of his kids. I've been blessed to know him.
I’m crying like a baby!!! Why is there more like this out here; I feels sooo good to see this! Can you imagine? Having this feeling daily! I can ! Humanity at it’s best!❤
Wow, the world needs more people like you, what an amazing inspirational person Dana is and so are all the students he teaches. Thank you also to Greg & Jodi.
@@OfficialDUDEbenice I am surprised your channel doesn't have more subscribers ... we need more content like this in the world to give us the faith in humanity :) Thank you!! :)
Dana this service doesn't just matter. It's essentail to bring a community that has been known for being so down to highest levels it can reach. With people like him it can be the opposite of what Crenshaw and Inglewood have been known for. And it starts with the up and coming generations. Good work sir.
People has told me that I should be a teacher because kids ask me to because I want better for the community. A foundation is definitely in my future. As many as I can help I will. And I started with anyone who has crossed my path
Truly love The great love and quality of education he has provided for them all in learning and in developing their character for life ; He’s A Real Hero in Life
We need so much more of this. It is sad that we don't and even sadder that when we do they turn into taxable events. We ought to reward kindness while not punishing the recepients of said kindness especially if they are being rewarded for their own acts of making their communities, state, Nation, and world a better place. I am continuously inspired by the extreme acts of kindness and gratitude I see here
school wasn't for me and i think i felt the same way about school like most of the kids in the video. i wish i had an option to go to a school which help kids find out what they wanna do after school. amazing man and id bet my money this school is gonna only get bigger and better and pushing out amazing men and women to the real world after school.
I was crying so hard I accidentally hit the dislike button at first. There needs to be a love button for this type of video. I wish nothing but the absolute best for everyone involved in this amazing event. Truly heartwarming and inspiring.
Whew! I'm at my desk with tears falling on my desk. This is what a good human looks like; all his sacrifices and belief in himself, those kids and his community should definitely be recognized and appreciated....much love. Sir!
This is awesome! This Guy is incredible as well as Jodie and Greg. I bless God for people like them. May them continue to be a blessing for their communities. And thank you very Much for sharing and contribute to honour Dana during his life. That's really important and nice🎉
This made me cry a lot been a such a low spot in my life attempted to end several times just as recent as 2 months ago but I look up to this with the power to push on and make a difference
There's no doubt you're here for a reason and the world needs you. Hang in there and I can't wait to see how you impact others when you come out the other end of these hard times. And you can always dial 988 and confidentially speak with someone. - Brent

I absolutely _love_ his goal of making the _school_ the starting point for the kids future careers. That's what the whole _point_ of schools was supposed to be from the beginning. It was never meant to be _just_ teaching the basics of reading, writing and math. Or getting the proper grades to get into the right college. School is supposed to prepare you to be _ready_ for the wider world by the time you leave, and they simply don't do that any more. Not even _close_ to it. And it's something I think most have sadly lost and forgotten along the way and no longer appreciate. It's like having a rail network, but the depot where the trains are supposed to leave from in the morning don't have rails connecting them to the goods yard to pick up their loads, or the first train stop in the route. The depot is early school life. The goods yard is College with the first stop after being University, or even potentially an actual career. Far too much emphasis is placed on Colleges and Universities to be the places where the workers of tomorrow are supposed to launch their careers from, and this completely fails to take into account the fact that the train that is these kids lives can become massively derailed long before they even reach that point. There's a reason why most gangs and violent criminals are either teenagers or in their early twenties, rather than older people. It's not people who's lives have gone off the rails later on after trying - it's people who's lives went off the rails before their train even got up to speed out of the depot. You look at most successful people in the world and a _huge_ number of them became what they are because their early school life inspired them to be somebody. They discovered their passions in life much earlier on than the world will acknowledge. And this Principal has figured all this out and is doing his utmost to change it and bring schooling back to what it was meant to be - the true vision of school. And I have endless amounts of respect and awe for him for doing this.
@@OfficialDUDEbenice What's stupid, is that it wasn't always like this. Once upon a time, schools were hugely invested in by the companies and businesses of the day. Not just financial investment, but time and teachings and other resources. Carpenter companies would send carpenters into schools to inspire future generations to become carpenters, and helped them by starting the whole networking process with businesses, giving them the right contacts when they left and the base level of skills needed to start down that career path. The same was true of countless other career paths. And you'd find that those that did this, ended up with essentially employees for life. And not just because they had "no other alternatives but to work there" - but because they actually _enjoyed_ the work and was passionate about it and wouldn't dream of doing anything different. And for some reason I cannot fathom, all that seemed to stop. And instead it was now down to the Governments and ruling systems of the day to now completely support the schools and finance them and get the blame when things started to go downhill. The companies all left, and nobody held them to account. People today _still_ aren't having a go at the companies for not doing more to support schools and hold them up on their shoulders. It shouldn't be left to Governments to pick up the pieces, it's not their job, it was never _meant_ to be their job. The future of our kids is _everyone's_ responsibility - especially that of the worlds companies who's _entire futures_ DEPEND on these kids becoming future employees and managers and CEOs. Their futures and by extension the futures of our countries is entirely reliant on this, and yet they're not lifting a finger to insure this future happens. And then wondering why staying in business is such a struggle these days. And nobody is making a fuss about it. And it's being left to individuals like this amazing Principal to do all the work in trying to change an entire faulty system.
The important thing here is not to wish for more people like Dana, but for us to figure out how to shape our own lives to be more like him.
Totally!
