    Great video. I cannot wait to hear the discussion about the 2025 Bronco Sport tomorrow. I hope Ford will make the 2.0 available for all the trim levels. Maybe give the option for the 2.3 in the Badlands or maybe a Tremor trim level 😊

      Easy on the brake and easy on the gas in ECO mode and you can get close to 50 mpg

    I have a 2022 Maverick XLT, with Luxury package, Co-pilot 360 with 2.0 ecoboost that I ordered new. We make several trips each year from Houston to Dallas and back to see relatives. The speed limit on I-45 is 75 mph for most of the way. I try to keep my speed at 75 mph except when passing slower traffic. I always drive in the eco mode and I average 34 mpg on those trips. I’m very pleased with my truck and would highly recommend it.

      @billyselman6371 I thought so. Good mileage and power. Probably the unsung hero of the Maverick lineup.

    I've had a hybrid Maverick for a little over a year. I'm right at 38 mpg combined city and highway driving. Short trips in town, sometimes 50-60 mpg, but about 33-35 highway. Pretty doggone impressive if you ask me.

    The recent talk amongst RVers looking for a flat tow road vehicle is that the Maverick is the truck to get... any comments or confirmation?

    Interesting fact I have discovered about my hybrid maverick. We have 40,000 miles at 52 miles per gallon and I discovered something new, new to me, two months ago. if you don’t like the transition between regenerative braking and mechanical breaking, switch to slippery. It will not regenerate as much as in normal or Eco, but there is no noticeable translation.

    Why doesn't any of the Ford dealers talk about the Hybrid is flat towable for Motorhome use? There are less and less every year cars or trucks that are flat towable. I think since there are older flat towable cars that need to be replace that the flat towable is another selling point

    My hybrid with winter tires did fine in the winter in Montana. I didn't even try the slippery mode. Something to try for next winter, I guess. Hybrid has front wheel drive.

    Great video lots of informative information. Only thing I would add is another item to consider is when opting for the AWD, it increases ground clearance from 8.3 to 8.6. Also instead of semi independent twist beam rear suspension the AWD gets a fully independent rear suspension with a multi link design which improves sharper handling and ground clearance which I mentioned. These may also influence which model to purchase depending on ones needs.

    • @dvader3263
      @dvader3263 6 місяців тому

      That .3 inch difference in ground clearance is from the increased tire diameter going from FWD to AWD models.

    • @HuronRiver-ke8xn
      @HuronRiver-ke8xn 6 місяців тому

      @@dvader3263 that's incorrect both the FWD and AWD come standard with the same size tire. I thought that was or could be a possibility until I dug into it more. Realizing the same size tires I then googled why and that information I posted. They do offer an optional tire size on the AWD the p235 but it is .51 of an inch wider or taller which theoretically would increase it .255 over or additional to the 8.6 which is from changing the rear suspension.

    I wonder how reliable the CVT and all of that electronic AWD gadgetry (on the Tremor) will be over time. Nissan had problems with their CVTs.

    • @ianjay5301
      @ianjay5301 6 місяців тому +3

      The Ford transmission is completely different from the Nissan. It is a planetary gearset (like Toyota) which does not use the continuously variable chain/belt system.

    • @skybluemarshall
      @skybluemarshall 3 місяці тому

      ECTV is gear driven and is a totally different animal than a CVT. The ECVT is supposedly much smoother and more reliable. The ECVT lacks the so called, lazy, laggy "rubber band" feeling that many people complain about with the CVT.
