Hey all! This is Carrie! Many have asked where they can find the words to this poem or purchase my book. This poem is now available in my ebook "A History of Silence" which can be purchased on Amazon here:
So great! Her voice sounds very much like Sarah Kaye. Beautiful poem.
"I hope I never dream of you so I am constantly discovering what I have" that made me cry
Wow, I got actual literal chills and tears in my eyes. This is so honest and beautiful.
i absolutely love her voice
The way her voice cracks on the word "hope" towards the end...The emotion pouring out of her is unbelievable.
🌹 beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, 🌹
carrie legitimately gives me hope
Omg this is beautiful!
This is superb
This poem is my absolute favorite.
great poem, I loved your energy
Oh my gosh, she is so beautiful can she just love me
I love this poem(:
definitely beautiful
That was so good.
Ooo, I love this idea that she puts across: "Familiar is a perennial weed harboured in my stomach."
It required me to look up the definition of perennial to understand fully, though: Lasting or active through the year or through many years. Lasting an indefinitely long time; enduring. Appearing again and again; recurrent.
this makes me said... she was on the island of hawaii in a district called kona. but i still loved this poem (:
I think I'm in love
"Her work has been published in such collections as Words Dance, Muzzle, OnMag, and Alight. She has released three poetry books: A History Of Silence (2010), The Endless Return Home (2012), and The Shotgun Speaks (2013).
Her two CDs, Barefoot Whale Riders and Live at The Boston Poetry Slam, are available on iTunes. "
Found this on her tumblr, if it can help.
