I’m 63. I’ve seen Metallica in their prime. I’ve seen Zeppelin, Purple, Rainbow, Sabbath, Dio, Queensryche, Motörhead, Priest, AC/DC with Bon Scott, Maiden with DiAnno and Dickinson. I’ve also seen Lovebites live, just 2 months ago. I’m seeing them again, twice, before the end of the year. All 3 gigs in Japan…me, I live in the U.K….on a boat. I’m by no means wealthy. Far from it. But I will travel to any destination for which I can get a ticket and as long as what little I have can afford it. Because they are THE best band of my lifetime. Including all of the above. 60 songs, all original, all distinct, all played exquisitely, whether studio, live, or studio live. They are the friendliest, most down to earth people in metal. They enjoy what they do and they make that enjoyment infectious. I didn’t say “greatest” for one reason only. Greatness would require popularity. But they outperform, outshine and outplay any combination of individuals who have ever taken the stage. There IS no bad Lovebites song. There never will be. That’s not fanboy bias, that’s common sense. These women own this genre. I pity any act doomed to follow them on a stage.
As a 47 year old life long metal head, I’m not afraid to say Lovebites is the best metal band in the world and on the short list all time and they’ll take the top spot if they keep going like they are.
Great reaction folks, Please continue with more Lovebites because these ladies are have taken heavy metal to the next level with their talents. If anyone considered themselves a metal head, can't missed out on Lovebites. Metal Goddesses
💯 best metal band today, and my favorite of all time. Yet, they just eclipsed 100k YT subs just the other day; criminal. Who in their right mind would have Lovebites as their opening act...that would be suicide. Imagine being the guitarist having to come out on stage after, lol. Miyako pregnant during this show and still shredding, F beast! Thank you for answering the bell and coming back. 🤘
It's almost always that the support act only gets 70% - 80% of the total sound, so they don't play louder than the main act, and they're only allowed to use a small part of the light show. And no smoke (cold ice) on stage. Some bands also interfere with the set list of the support act.
Hey when they toured with DragonForce in the UK, many people felt that next time they would be the main act. Herman and the boys have my respect for giving them the chance and letting them really shine.
This song was my first Lovebites experience in 2017… but this specific live performance is the best version of the song. This band encapsulates flawless perfection. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷
Agree.the best metal band nowdays. I saw them live for the first ( and only) time in Wacken 2018 , they grab me in the first song , i didn't knew the band, was a friend of mine , Vera who worked for Metal Hammer who convinced me to see the band. Even today i thank her 🐺🤘❤️🤘🐺
This is the first song by the band that hooked me in 2016. This is the first step into the LB rabbit hole for many of the Wolfpack fan base. The venue here was dead.. COVID restrictions ( 50% capacity, social distancing, no yelling or screaming, just clapping allowed) yet the ladies rocked out like they were in a crazed packed arena. Miyako was 3/4 months pregnant and still went full tilt during this 2 hour set. All of these women are so dedicated to their craft and with their level of talent that is why they leave everyone else behind. I go back to Cream (1966-68) and I can say no other band has ever been loaded with this much talent period.
In its own way, Asterism is equal in talent as LB. I love both bands. They are beyond belief good. But for me personally the best rock band on the planet is Band-Maid, and Buckethead. They are astronomically great❤🤘
If this band was born in the Metallica era and introduced outside of Japan I'm sure they would be bigger than Metallica because in that era there were far more metal fans than today.
I agree with everything you said - best metal band today and best metal band to come along in 30 years. They are easily as good as Maiden, Priest and Metallica. At least Lovebites finally reached 100,000 subscribers on their YT channel. But they deserve so much more. I think once they get back to touring overseas again (probably in 2024) they will start getting the recognition they deserve.
Yeah there is no shame is saying. Yes they are the best today and Probably Tomarrow when the dust settles. I have followed it all and these Girls are Lightning in A Bottle. The solo's,The Riff's The non stop insane percussion,etc.... Divine Intervention from the Gods of Metal brought them to Us.
Thanks for your reaction. I would love to watch these beautiful, talented ladies who look like princesses and goddesses with no tattoos any time anywhere rather than these sweated, pierced, tattooed male and female rock bands who are just yelling, growling and shredding their instruments with no tune at all but just loud noises not music IMHO. These ladies compose and perform their songs epic and masterpiece in live concert ,with no bad songs in their catalogue. Every band I know have bad songs or fillers in their album and even in their greatest hits collection. You can name any band in rock history and all of them have filler songs in their discography. Since I discovered LOVEBITES 3 years ago I stopped listening to all my CD collection nearly 2 thousand from all the other rock bands from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeath, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Guns & Roses',Slayer and all others because these ladies are the best that I've heard in rock history IMHO and there music is very addictive even if you listen to it a hundred times, you never get tired of it. LOVEBITES IS THE MICHAEL JORDAN OF METAL AND ROCK MUSIC in other words THE GOAT. No further discussion PERIOD. Melbourne,WOLFPACK.
LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics: Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? No one can save me From all of the darkness and solitude Cry, like shadows of the night I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive Despite going through this hell Cause still my heart has hope No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart Reckless and fast, how long will I last? Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear Hoping that someday I'll be repaid Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here Am I all alone? Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing Hide, in shadows I reside I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go In desolated land knowing no escape But still I wish to live Just waiting for a somebody to notice me Before I fall down to depths of the abyss SOLO: midori / mi-ya / both / miya Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? No one can save me from solitude Cry, like shadows of the night I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go In desolated land knowing no escape But still I wish to live Just waiting for a somebody to notice me Before I fall down to depths of the abyss Like shadows of the night I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive Despite going through this hell Cause still my heart has hope No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Awakening From Abyss 10/25/2017
Hi from the UK. well guys, Lovebites are the best female metal band period! They are all masters of their craft and virtuoso's in their own right. Their new bassis Fami, is incredible. She has 10m You Tube views and will bring a new dynamic to Lovebites over time. Love your reactions and analysis. I'm in! Stay safe.
The song that introduced them to me!! Crazy this is a song from their first album!! 🤘🐺🤘 For my personal taste and this is obviously different for everyone, their technical ability, most important the song writing, note choices, melodies, solos, everything is so good, i have to say it's my favorite band for sure!! And the new album just confirmed that even more, so many songs on there became instant favorites!!
This was the song whose MV announced them to the world. Live is best, but the MV is worth seeing for sure. Thanks for coming back to Lovebites. They are certainly the best metal band in the world today, and I'd put them top three all time. And re. Metallica: They never had two Kirk Hammetts.
In terms of versatility, creativity, individual and collective technique, it's the best metal band in history and yet I'm an old gentleman (71) who's seen a lot of it. And with all due respect to all the others like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. If I may offer a friendly advice react to "Scream for me" by hanging on to your seats cause there's the biggest guitar fight I've ever seen
"Same" with me, regarding Iron Maiden. I am still a die-hard IM fan, but enhanced my personal Metal heaven with Lovebites and Nemophila. 😁 I mean, 4 consecutive studio albums from Lovebites (and three from Nemophila), without _one_ weak song, hello? Whatever those bands touch, seems to turn into gold. So ridiculous...
I have listened to all of the albums and EPs of Lovebites multiple times (countless times for Electric Pentagram) and they genuinely do not have a bad song. I am a massive Iron Maiden and Megadeth fan and I consider the first four albums of those bands as good as any first four albums ever. Lovebites is right up there with them but simply do not get the recognition they deserve. If I had to rank the Lovebites albums it would be Electric Pentagram at the top (in my top 10 all time metal albums), followed closely by Awakening From Abyss (the debut) and Judgement Day (the most recent) with Clockwork Immortality being fourth (a slight sophomore slump). Shadowmaker is from the debut and it is in my top 3 from the album. It is also one of four songs composed by Miyako (tracks 3 thru 6) who, btw, was halfway through her pregnancy in this concert. When Lovebites was auditioning for the new bassist, the two finalists had to play three songs with the band. All three are very challenging for a bassist, in other words Miho at her best. The three songs were The Hammer of Wrath from Awakening From Abyss, Golden Destination from Electric Pentagram and Shadowmaker. All three presented different challenges to a bassist and with Shadowmaker it was pure speed and endurance. Fami got the job not because she can play different than Miho (which she can) but because she sounded just like Miho in these three songs.
The "who is better" discussion will always be heated, because we all have our own tastes in music. I'm 63, and have been around since the beginnings of every band that has influenced Lovebites. Well, with the exception of Chopin and maybe a few others. There are two basic levels of music listening for me, sound and musicianship, an d there is a difference. Sound can be simple beats, but with pure heaviness and you're gripped. You don't have to be all around top level talented for that to work. But then at talent, and in Lovebites case, elite/virtuoso talent resides in every member, not just one or two to carry the band as many other bands do. M & M are the best guitar dual leads I've ever heard (sorry Maiden etc). Their compositions are consistently complex. Even with their steady, fast, in your face approach to a majority of their catalog, there is so much going on and so many layer to most every song, that you can't keep up. And it's all done at the highest level of musicianship. Metallica are legends in the metal world, period. They crossed a bridge farther than any metal band in history with regards to brining metal to the masses. That doesn't make them better than anyone else, as that's for each of us to decide. To me, they are my favorite band ever, and are the best metal band ever, and I say that without hesitation. They changed lineups and actually got even better, which is saying a lot. I enjoy your reactions and insight.
Every member of Lovebites has mastered their instruments but Midori and Miyako are on an entirely different level and are the top guitar duo in music today. That's just my opinion but it's hard to argue against it. #WOLFPACK4EVER #MIDORIRULEZ #LOVEBITESRULEZ 🤘🏻🔥🐺🔥🤘🏻 #SGBC4LIFE
Hey guys.... thanks for coming back to Lovebites. Look... I disagree about just one thing. THIS SONG is better on the official MV, in my opinion - it's one exception to the general rule. I think one of the best Lovebites' MVs is Shadowmaker, even better than Judgment Day, Stand and Deliver or Glory to the World ones... it's electrifiing and clean... and also, visually, amazingly beautiful. And it is a shot from the first times of the band... and Shadowmaker is one of their best songs. LOVEBITES FOREVER!
The lyrics of this song are spooo powerful, no doubt this is one of their best songs ever and is from their first album that make the song more impresive. Thanks for the reaction guys 🤘🔥 By the way you need to check their live performance for Empty Daydream with the Rachmaninoff piano intro by Miyako, that song is amazing
Lovebites is the most talented band walking this earth, period! They have over 60 songs to prove it. They own the entire spectrum of metal. They play the whole spectrum of metal better than all of the greats...
@@TheCyberMantis They are not more talented than Lovebites. They were not even on the same level as Dream Theater for the last 25 years. I recently listened to Symphony X for the last couple of months, they are good, but not Lovebites good. A band can be great and have unlimited talent, but without two great guitar players playing very technical harmonies like M&M, there is no equal.
@@LongStroke01 If you like the twin-guitar thing, that's cool. SyX and DT decided to go single guitar and keyboard instead. Miyako sometimes jumps on the piano, which is great. And some Lovebites songs will have a keyboard backing-track, which is also fine. I can see that Miyako is actually following in Romeo's footsteps, whether she realizes it or not. Their musical paths have many similarities. Right down to the Star Wars memorabilia in their home studios. I'm sure Miyako is also a John Williams fan. Miyako and Romeo both have a strong classical background. Both can play guitar and piano at a super high level. Miyako might have the edge on the piano, but Romeo has the edge on the guitar. As far as songwriting goes, Romeo has the advantage. For you to say Symphony X is not as good as Lovebites, means you are clearly biased. I like them both equally. They are equal, but very different and unique. A big key difference is the vocals. Asami and Russel Allen are very different singers. Russ is already a legend, and Asami is well on her way to becoming a legend herself. Symphony X has been around for over 25 years. Lovebites has been around for about 6 years.
@@TheCyberMantis Perhaps I don't know SYMPHONY X well enough, but from what I listened to, I got the impression that they sound archaic and rather monotonous (especially vocals). Classical instrumental and vocal themes are too explicit, straightforward and sometimes quite tedious. It occurred to me that maybe at some time there were many such groups (early progressive, art-rock). Maybe SYMPHONY X is even the best of them. In some places they sound very, very good. But in general, the time of such music is gone. No, no, Lovebites is a completely different matter, I think the comparison does not make sense.)
@@dymyavalor6135 How old are you? You said "the time of such music is gone"? Great music is timeless. So that statement makes no sense. If you only listened to a few songs from Symphony X, you have no idea what they are all about. Same thing could be said for Lovebites. Can a person really know Lovebites from listening to only 2 or 3 songs? Of course not. Also: Lovebites musical influences are from the entire spectrum of heavy metal, plus other genres of music. Unless you are a music composer, an accomplished musician, or you have at least heard all the Symphony X songs as I have, then your perspective is severely limited. If Lovebites is your favorite band, that is great. We all love them. But do not discredit what Symphony X has done over the past 25+ years. Especially if you are not even familiar with their body of work. Which is extensive. Dig deeper and you will see.
Thanks for the reaction. You are right, LOVEBITES has 4 Albums. But if you take into account those songs that are on the EPs, Single and Compilation Album (12 songs in total), but which are not on the LPs, then in total there are about 60 original songs. Agree that for 6 years, from May 2017 (when the first "The Lovebites EP" was released) to February 2023 (when the fourth "Judgement Day" LP was released) is this a good result?! And if you also take into account the quality of the songs of LOVEBITES, then this is an excellent result .
Love your reaction guys. Let me put to rest the comparision: Metallica is Miyako's favorite metal band. She stated such during her 2018 Paris interview, including her dream wish to share the same stage with them. ua-cam.com/video/5KpJBe3s2i0/v-deo.html . I will not be surprised that this becomes reality when Metallica tours Asia and Japan. Regarding their songs, I've discovered that each of their songs has its own unique and intracate excellence. And its not hust their musicianship skills. They really know how to compose and arrange music. This is a major reason why their songs are so consistently (even "disturbingly" ) excellent - which is a rare feat for even the very best of bands. As they've said elsewhere, regardless of who gets songwriting credits, they're all invested in each song. What I noted from the same interview, is how they all recognize the need to take care of their health ... considering that this song is just 1 of 18 in that setlist where they played for over 2 hours (in heels)! So when you consider that their songs pass through the filter of five musical geniuses in ther own right (who've all received some leval of formal musical training esp. the piano). Add to this that one of these geniusies (Miyako)is a musical savant who loves to the most difficult pieces from the classical masters like Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Dvorak (Such songs are live performances of "Swan Song with the Chopin intro), Empty Daydream, Final Collision .. live! from memory (no song sheets)! Worse, she then jumps seamlessly from "shredding"a grand piano to shredding a guitar. I In that same Paris interview (above), Miyako stated, "Metal and classical are quite close on many levels. It allowed me to join the band very naturally." So people ... Buckle up!
Lovebites are The Best in Metal !.. and they can also be very diverse. Miyakos new classical piano album covering the great composers of the past.. 3:233:24
True evermore masterpiece, though I prefer the studio video and always will. It isn't better live in this instance. Still a masterpiece but the studio version is perfection. Not every track is "better" live. My number 2 favorite LB song of all time. And probably will never leave that spot.
I hope metallica members will give some millions of dollars to those girls, because it's insane the difference of money between your number 1 band metallica (fame, know all over the world, icon, hundreds of millions of dollars in the pocket) and your number 2 band lovebites. No hope with this world... But at the same time thank you for the reaction and to support this band, they deserved it.
I like me some Metallica. There is one area I will even agree with you on, Metallica absolutely crushes it in promotion and gaining widespread appeal. The team of people working behind the scenes to support Lovebites has let them down there. I would honestly rather see Lovebites than Metallica live (today). In the 80's....yeah cant beat that era for Het and the boys.
Guys, I've been a wolfpacker for about 2.5 years and I am still obsessed with Lovebites. That said there are songs after I've checked out the entire catalog that are not on my playlist necessarily, I can count them on one hand though. I definitely believe that Lovebites is the best band which was created this century so far. Metallica, I'm a fan of their 90s stuff, then earlier stuff, then this century I've completely lost interest. I'll check out your review of the new release. Also, I would check out the Lovebites OMVs at some point, the one for Shadowmaker allows you to hear the guitars better than this Live one and the band looks great in it.
So about those harmonies in the intro - is there a guitar on the backing track? Miyako is playing chords, and Midori is playing one melody but the other one can't be live.
@@oyvind2009 Yeah that makes sense. Thing is, in some live videos there's definitely no pedals anywhere near her: ua-cam.com/video/Ou7kU-9YV_k/v-deo.htmlsi=5BN8im9r4w8ahidE Could someone else be controlling that for her?
@@ScreamWright Yes, I have read that her guitar tech sometimes controll her pedals. If you check out older live versons of this song you can see Midori push a pedal right before the harmony effect appear.
Great reaction guys. Metallica stopped playing metal after their third album, then it became disco with guitars. Lovebites playing heavy powermetal and getting better every new album.
You should really give the song Soldier Stands Solitarily from their latest album a go. No video but the song is fast, technical and chef's kiss good. In my opinion, the best on the new album. Very classical in structure which makes sense in a way, since metal is the classical music of our time. Listen in your own time or on the channel, just don't miss it for your own sakes...
Completely agree its a great song, we did an album review of Judgement Day on our channel a couple months back and I am pretty sure that song was a highlight for a few of us!
I DARE, Metallica to allow them to open for them. Metallica are awesome of course but is time for them to hand on crown to Lovebite. They are unbeatable, perhaps because of back stories of Midori, Asamai and Miyako, referred to by her band members as The Golden Touch. Who else could ever surpass this overload of pure talent
im going to give you some songs that you have to react to by lovebites Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live tokyo 2019 if you like the guitars this song has 14 guitar solos, We The United which is their anthem to the fans, Swan Song with Chopin intro, Epilogue live, Empty daydreams live, edge of the world live and Raise Some Hell live trust you guys will love these please let me know what you think

Metallica is obviously a much, MUCH more successful/famous/rich band, but if the word "better" is interpreted to mean "collective musical talent", then LOVEBITES is objectively a better band. LOVEBITES could easily play EVERY Metallica song, whereas Metallica would struggle to play many LOVEBITES songs.
They do not have a lot of subscribers because they mainly appeal to a narrow demographic: older male metalheads. Younger metalheads go for other bands, Nemophila etc. It's not about quality or musical ability--they're stellar--, but about the style of metal you're used to. The classical metal that they play is dad metal, even in Japan. I think they are trying to rectify that a bit with their more recent move in a direction that I call "extreme power metal". That is a more current style with a *slightly* younger audience, and they can distinguish themselves there by playing it faster and harder and more virtuosic than the competition. On the other hand, metal dads are quite a large demographic that is largely left untapped by Lovebites. They could be far more widely known. I blame their management for that (as I often do). They do not receive the promotion they need, their management is overly cautious, a lot of the promotion is done by the ladies themselves via social media.
You are lucky you retracted that comment. Metallica is absolutely NOT better than Lovebites. Not by a long shot. The only other metal band I put on the same level as Lovebites is: Symphony X.
In the US today, youngsters play Metal music solo's with machineguns, not guitars...... Snake Sabo(Skid Row) react to LOVEBITES and said they are playing with a very complicated Metal music... The BEST HEAVY METAL BAND in the WORLD is LOVEBITES.... The BEST HARD ROCK BAND in the WORLD is BAND-MAID.... The BEST METAL ROCK & COVER BAND in the WORLD is NEMOPHILA.....
For me, this is the best metal band on the planet not called Nemophila, but honestly you can't go wrong with either band. Or, amazingly, several other brilliant all-female J-metal bands: Ark Royal, Bridear, Paradoxx, Fate Gear, Hanabie, Little Lilith, Pinkish Crown, as well as "on hiatus" projects like Hagane, Doll$Boxx, TELECiDE, and more. And I'm not even getting into brilliant hard rock bands like Band-Maid, Gacharic Spin, Whiskey Dust, etc. Or insanely good co-ed bands like Unlucky Morpheus, The SheGlapes, Asterism... That little niche scene is absolutely KILLING IT in the metal world.
Here is your next song Gentlemen.. Best double over hand tapping solo in heels you will ever see.. ua-cam.com/video/ZFNrk19fKgg/v-deo.html Best wishes from France..
It's inevitable that you'll come across some of their songs that you think are meh. Opinions are just like arseholes - we all have one. I can think of one on the new album and perhaps 5 or 6 previous songs that i skip quite regularly. So for me, it's about a 90% hit rate, which is ridiculously high to be honest. If you fancy watching another live version of Shadowmaker in your own time, the live Wacken performance from 2018 is great. It ended their set. ua-cam.com/video/H9mS9JRvlMw/v-deo.html
Live concerts all the same ?!? Luckily I saw them play in Europe more than once….. More than twice, more than thrice, more than a handful and each and every one was different. One thing they had in common, all amazing and better than the last 3 concerts of Metallica I saw…….. Only 1 recent concert came very close, Epica with orchestra and choir last month in Amsterdam, music became ART both nights.
After getting acquainted with Lovebites, I had a desire to listen to bands that are often mentioned with them in reactions. One of these bands is Metallica. I found a blu-ray concert in Canada, I think in Montreal. With a huge number of spectators and a stage , probably in the center of the field for playing hockey. I had enough for about half an hour. It seemed boring and uninteresting. Musicians play worse than Lovebites, the music is simpler. About the same thing happened when trying to listen to other bands that supposedly influenced Lovebites. And now, after the release of their new album, this situation has worsened even more. I do not know who can be put next to Lovebites. Because when listening to Judgment Day, there is a feeling of the improbability of what is happening. How could it be possible to come up with such a thing and play like that.
This has happened to me also. I was at a Nemophila concert and they played a Slayer song before the start and it was good, but all I could think about was how simple it was compared to a lot of the metal I listen to today. Not saying it really was simple or easy, just a lot of modern metal is more complex, and I like that. This is understandable as they were pioneers, but given time everything hopefully grows, even music.

Even today i thank her 🐺🤘❤️🤘🐺
Hi.
One of the best metal song ever made!
They are astronomically great❤🤘
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Lovebites are not a rock band they are metal band.
🔥LOVEBITES🐺PERFECTION🔥BEST FEMALE METAL BAND 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
If this band was born in the Metallica era and introduced outside of Japan I'm sure they would be bigger than Metallica because in that era there were far more metal fans than today.
I agree with everything you said - best metal band today and best metal band to come along in 30 years. They are easily as good as Maiden, Priest and Metallica. At least Lovebites finally reached 100,000 subscribers on their YT channel. But they deserve so much more. I think once they get back to touring overseas again (probably in 2024) they will start getting the recognition they deserve.
Their “less killer” songs would be a banger for many regular bands. It’s really a gift from the metal heaven to have so much talent in one band. 🐺🤘🏻
Lovebites......FANTASTIC BAND
The best all around metal band currently
LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics:
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me
From all of the darkness and solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart
Reckless and fast, how long will I last?
Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside
Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear
Hoping that someday I'll be repaid
Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here
Am I all alone?
Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing
Hide, in shadows I reside
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
SOLO: midori / mi-ya / both / miya
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me from solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
Like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart

Hi from the UK. well guys, Lovebites are the best female metal band period! They are all masters of their craft and virtuoso's in their own right. Their new bassis Fami, is incredible. She has 10m You Tube views and will bring a new dynamic to Lovebites over time. Love your reactions and analysis. I'm in! Stay safe.
Just binging on Lovebites reactions today 🤘🏼❤️🔥
Right !!! Best metal band nowadays!! Thx for reacts !!
The song that introduced them to me!! Crazy this is a song from their first album!! 🤘🐺🤘
For my personal taste and this is obviously different for everyone, their technical ability, most important the song writing, note choices, melodies, solos, everything is so good, i have to say it's my favorite band for sure!!
And the new album just confirmed that even more, so many songs on there became instant favorites!!
Incidentally, when Lovebites’ Judgement Day came out of the gates, it knocked Metallica out of the top spot of the official Japan heavy metal chart. 😊
Oooops... 😁😉
If I may offer a friendly advice react to "Scream for me" by hanging on to your seats cause there's the biggest guitar fight I've ever seen
great reaction guys! this is my favorite song by them!!!!!!!!
I've followed, loved Megadeth religiously for decades... but I can say with confidence that I love Lovebites as much equally. 🐺💀
"Same" with me, regarding Iron Maiden. I am still a die-hard IM fan, but enhanced my personal Metal heaven with Lovebites and Nemophila. 😁
I mean, 4 consecutive studio albums from Lovebites (and three from Nemophila), without _one_ weak song, hello?
I can't believe there's not a promoter out there that will bring these ladies to the States.
Great reaction ! You should check out the neoclassical side of this band : "Swan Song with Chopin Intro" LIVE

Miho Miho Miho!
I f***Ing love this version !🤘🔥🤘!!!!!
The lyrics of this song are spooo powerful, no doubt this is one of their best songs ever and is from their first album that make the song more impresive. Thanks for the reaction guys 🤘🔥
By the way you need to check their live performance for Empty Daydream with the Rachmaninoff piano intro by Miyako, that song is amazing
Lovebites is the most talented band walking this earth, period! They have over 60 songs to prove it. They own the entire spectrum of metal. They play the whole spectrum of metal better than all of the greats...
I see you missed 25 years of SYMPHONY X. 😑
Glory to the the World! (Song title) Glory to Lovebites!
🤘🏽LOVEBITES RULES🤘🏽
Lovebites trying to brought metal songs and performances as best as they could with the new dimensions. And they succeeded. 👍
Buckle up!
growing up Metallica was always number 3 for me behind the metal Royalty of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest
yay ❤bites is back bois 🤘
Lovebites are The Best in Metal !.. and they can also be very diverse. Miyakos new classical piano album covering the great composers of the past.. 3:23 3:24
Next song…”Wind of Transylvania” live… cause they are always better live…
True evermore masterpiece, though I prefer the studio video and always will. It isn't better live in this instance. Still a masterpiece but the studio version is perfection. Not every track is "better" live. My number 2 favorite LB song of all time. And probably will never leave that spot.
Easily the best metal band in the world right now 🤘
Midori and Miyako’s favorite song to play! 🎸🔥🙌
"Lost in the garden" is not bad either.
Every damn song...just awesome.
Swan Song reaction coming?

Good news guys, you *can* hear ASAMI scream, ROB HALFORD style, in their kick-ass cover of PAINKILLER - ua-cam.com/video/QQu9PQmmHKI/v-deo.html

You forgot the live albums, boys! 😂🤘🔥
👏👏👏👏👏👏 I agree.
by supporting dinosaurs you pull the money off from young bands who need it way more (new private yet vs food, instruments and .. beer)
There isn't any band better than this thats the scary part of this band
Lovebites plays the songs that Metallica wishes they wrote.
I doubt Metallica could even play most Lovebites songs. Metallica sucks compared to Lovebites.
I would like to see a metallica cover of this one, especially lars ulrich ...
So about those harmonies in the intro - is there a guitar on the backing track? Miyako is playing chords, and Midori is playing one melody but the other one can't be live.
She is using a harmony pedal, playing harmonies with her self.
@@oyvind2009 Yeah that makes sense. Thing is, in some live videos there's definitely no pedals anywhere near her: ua-cam.com/video/Ou7kU-9YV_k/v-deo.htmlsi=5BN8im9r4w8ahidE
Could someone else be controlling that for her?
@@ScreamWright Yes, I have read that her guitar tech sometimes controll her pedals. If you check out older live versons of this song you can see Midori push a pedal right before the harmony effect appear.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤘 🐺 🔥 🐺🔥🤘
Great reaction guys. Metallica stopped playing metal after their third album, then it became disco with guitars. Lovebites playing heavy powermetal and getting better every new album.
I wouldn’t call And Justice For all disco with guitars 😉, thanks for the love!
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
You should really give the song Soldier Stands Solitarily from their latest album a go. No video but the song is fast, technical and chef's kiss good. In my opinion, the best on the new album. Very classical in structure which makes sense in a way, since metal is the classical music of our time. Listen in your own time or on the channel, just don't miss it for your own sakes...
Completely agree its a great song, we did an album review of Judgement Day on our channel a couple months back and I am pretty sure that song was a highlight for a few of us!
@@metalheadsjourney Oh, sorry, I must have missed that. Time to hit that old search button...
Find you a girl that looks at you like Midori looks at Miyako at the start of Shadowmaker. 🤭
If Midori has a crush on Miyako, I can totally understand that. ☺
Speaking of Metallica, "Shadowmaker" is for the fans of Lovebites what "Master of Puppets" is for the fans of Metallica.
I like the reaction of dave and jason, when you say metallica are better than lovebites😊😊😊
🤷♂️🤷♂️ truth hurts
I DARE, Metallica to allow them to open for them. Metallica are awesome of course but is time for them to hand on crown to Lovebite. They are unbeatable, perhaps because of back stories of Midori, Asamai and Miyako, referred to by her band members as The Golden Touch. Who else could ever surpass this overload of pure talent

Truth!
I just wondering, how this such music playing by women with this appearance, very amaze me
You are lucky you retracted that comment.
Metallica is absolutely NOT better than Lovebites. Not by a long shot.
The only other metal band I put on the same level as Lovebites is: Symphony X.
Metallica is better. Without doubt
i mean, even their song names are cool.
You're right ! Lovebites is much better than Metallica right now ! Let's try Soldier Stands Solitarily ! This song is Painkiller 2.0 ! 🤘🐺💥💥💥
Here is your next song Gentlemen.. Best double over hand tapping solo in heels you will ever see.. ua-cam.com/video/ZFNrk19fKgg/v-deo.html

This is the one love bites song where I think the official mv is better than the live one
If you have a chance checkout LOUDNESS ....JAPAN X ....SEX MACHINE GUNS. you'll see the influence
For Metallica to be better than Lovebites they'd have to start wearing white dresses and do power stances in heels. 😂
