They are one of those bikes that they got the styling right straight up The quadraphonic exhaust note is a bonus ! I have had mine 9 years and I am pretty sure they will bury me with it .Buy one you wont regret it .Stunning example Keep them coming Ken !!
Goodness gracious that sound brought me right back to the day at Gould’s Honda in Lynn MA when my older brother picked up his brand new 1973 Z1. I was riding my 1972 Mach III and he proceeded to laud the Z1’s muscular exhaust note over my “ring-dinger”. It wasn’t until 1977 that I was to buy a new burgundy KZ1000, it never did sound as sweet as those 4 mufflers on the original Z1. If fact I’m unsure any other 4 since then ever sounded better, could be nostalgia but thinking not. Started with a Kawasaki Trail Boss and now, at 65, and an embarrassing number of bikes later, sporting a ZX14. Thanks for sharing a wonderful trip down memory lane gentlemen!!! Ciao.
My friend in high school back in 89 had a z1000 we all would stand on the hill after school just to watch him take out on it,it sounded amazing, very nice bike you have there, would love to own it.
Wow《☆》A student at my highschool had 1 like that in 1975. It plowed thru the passengers door of an english teachers 69 Bonneville as she was backing out of her parking spot. I saw it happen from my school bus. The 4 into 1 header no baffle sounded great RIP🎱☮🙏
I have a 75’ Z1b in my garage. Everything is original except the ubiquitous 4 into 1 header, paint, sprockets and chain,. It is still in great shape, I intend to never sell it. I have briefed my boys as to what the value is at present when I pass. When I ride it it never ceases to turn heads even today.
I remember when the z1 first came on the scene, they were a grade and a half above the 750 honda Wich was a good bike.years later they are still the shizz.a 74 in this condition is probably pulling at least 15k.i had the 80 LTD.id love another but it's rare to find.merry Christmas to sr.& Family.
My previous custom show bike 1977 CB750 F1 was Eating this bike up with Looks and style and performance Right of the Line w/4in to 1 kerk no baffle when the guys riding KZs see me they forget what they where Riding there attention was all over at my Honda set tone for all these Japanese machines that's why kawasaki where going out business they did not know how build engine and frame to keep up with CB750

Gorgeous! I have the 2020 z900rs with the same paint scheme as this beauty. I love my bike, but I think I love yours more!
That's got to be the best Z1 in the world, & original paint in that condition. Watching from England.
Make this old man happy. My Z1 1975 and I had many happy trails.

who would give this a thumbs down????
What a cool old building....The bikes don't hurt either!
Timeless Beauty.
My favorite bike of all time. My uncle had one when i was young. I was very upset with him when he sold it and bought a Harley.
Really? I mean, it's pretty cool looking. My favorite 'old' motorcycle would have to be the 1982 Honda CB 900F Super Sport. That bike is sweet.
@@christopherwalker6056 Absolutely! I love the older Honda's too.
I have both. Running
Hey folks, this is Carl, your NEMM Roaming Diplomat. Once again, none better.
You did it it right with that one. Work of art.
Codenamed "New York Steak" at Kawasaki. That candy olive is my favorite!
Ever see the Aussie movie Stone, most rode these bikes, crikey these bikes were rippers 🏍 😎
Not were Are. I still run one
They rode 73 black engine zed 1s repainted jaffas in stone

Hard to imagine but I actually had five of these in my garage at one time......
Bet you wish you still had 5 big dollars now
Ken Kaplan sir you are 👍 in whole world 🌎 in motor cycle

Very nice!! First bike to take down my H2
There's a mid 70s Australian biker movie called "Stone" which is full on them.
Yup ...Before there was MAD MAX & THE ROAD WARRIOR there was STONE! outstanding observation bro! 👍
Millyard is on his way with his hacksaw.
??? I'll be waiting with my 357 and hammer of justice
@@KaplanCycles lol.
Allen Millyard is an absolute genius. That 6 cyl z1 he made in his garden shed is phenomenal.
Yes he is a genius, but not this one!
Bunch of beautiful old bikes im 17 and bought my first bike it's 79 dt175 for 200 runs great
Your the only ones I know of that may have done more than Johnny’s Vintage Motorcycle, on a Z1 900.
Reminds me of Mel Gibson movie Mad Max and the road people
These z1 are worth alot of money only going up in value

I’d love to have that. Sweet bike.
Ah yes the mighty Zed brings back memories younger viewers should google the Aussie flick Stone to see them in their glory
NIGHTRIDER
remember him when you look up at the night sky.
Very nice bike!
how come no one is mentioning GTO
Love em i owned one
Iconic!
Very nice, what a beaut.
What a Great job on the video..
Its cool when you guys throw the mic around but not over a 74 z-1 gas tank man.
Only 1 fumble in 3627 videos, Sr has magnets for hands
@@KaplanCycles dam thats a good record!!!
Beautiful Bike!
We took my friend's to the track only to pick up a flat the first time down.
Nice gloves
Ohh but the grips.... But what a beautiful bike:-)
Ive got the exact same model and colour bike sitting next to my z1000a madmax kwaka
Is it still for sale? I owned one in 1974. That looks exactly like a 74.
When my friend bought a Kawasaki Z900 in 1977..he got a liter patchouli with the bike for free.. :)
Kawasaki killed it...by by Honda
What i would give for five minutes alone with that.
You would have to pay around 18k for it in the UK , what did you sell it for ...
Pickle Zee!
Nice Z1A, wrong handlebar grips!
😃👍

I remember these used in 75 for 3k. Now I still would not buy one at 20K. There are so much better bikes now like the hyobousa(sp).
to the untrained eye those handlebar grips don't look right
You said you put a reproduction exhaust on it could have gotten the OEM or the real exhaust for it.
Lettssss gooooo first like lol
