The 'no bodies' refers to those inside the castle: Momo, Kin, Raizo, Kanjuro and Kiku were yeeted to the future, Hiyori and Kawamatsu escaped via the moat, and the rest never came back to the castle. I'm not denying the possibility of Toki escaping, just wanted to explain the scene.
something to note that is only noticable if you can fluently read japanese (which i can't, but i can watch youtubers like artur that can): tama is a kurozumi. her parent's graves have "kurozumi" written on them, she's from the same family as orochi and kanjuro, yet they didn't lift a _finger_ to help their own family. the entire family was oppressed, not just those two, and orochi STILL sent tama's family to the mines. that's the sort of thing that gets me, where you cut off your nose to spite your face and hypocritically send the people you claim to protect off to die.
I don't think Orochi ever claimed to protect the Kurozumi clan, he just wanted vengeance and was, honestly, quite open about that when he wasn't pretending to be a good leader.
I'm so sad that wano will be my final arc for a while with mama drawk. I'm anime only and I just finished the arc and won't be catching up for a minute as I've been watching through again to catch my wife up. We're just about to enter dressrosa and we don't always have time to watch so it'll be some time. I'm so glad I found this channel. You two have made me fall in love with this story even more than I thought I could. Thank you for paying this series the amount of time, attention and respect it deserves. I'm glad that Mama has come around on Kid. Kid has always been my favorite character since his introduction, but in Wano when we find out that he's basically just Luffy if he was full of anger and didn't mind killing people, it just made me love him even more

He hits you from range and then woop woop woops away. It's not something that stood out to me until Wano, and only on subsequent viewings of Sabaody and post-war stuff where he's running away from pigs in the new world did I appreciate how much of a hit and run fella he was in a comedic way.

He says something along the lines that when they discovered the true history of everything Roger and his crew decided to act the way they did, starting the golden era of piracy and set up camp in important contact points for them to watch the new era blossom, so he pondered if Luffy and his crew would have a different outlook on things and would act in another way. So, knowing now that Roger and all his crew laughed really makes you wonder if Luffy will act the same or if he will be enraged, saddened, indifferent to what lays at the end of the sea. Also, it makes you wonder what is it that lays in Laugh Tale that could possibly generate two contrasting reactions.
The thought of that end card in the anime saying "The End" *_HURTS_* so much! I can say it won't be so bad because I will have read the manga first but I know better. I watch a lot of reactors since I don't have anyone to actually talk to about this. Means I get to rewatch a lot of the show, including the most painful bits. Losing Merry hurts as bad now as it did the first time, although I can function within an hour. That was like losing a family member, at least at the level of losing your dog or cat. The last chapter of this will be worse. It's going to end one day, I know. I'm trying to make peace with that. I only hope there's somewhere I can go to be around other people who will be experiencing the same loss, because no one around me will understand.
One of my favorite parts in the entire series is the famous Kanjuro scene. He's such a great character for so many reasons: the long set-up, the kabuki inspiration, both in looks and in literary role. I'm surprised Mama didn't talk more extensively about him for his narrative function. Great episode as always!
There’s a panel after Lady Toki said her bit about the Moon unaware of the dawn, there’s a Kaido ‘s soldier pulled out a gun and shot Lady Toki with a gun shot onomatopoeic rumble as she fell. It’s hard to imagine Toki did not want to die as Oden died. She was a samurai’s wife after all.
I love the Oden flashback because you get this fantastic character arc that ends in such a brutal tragedy. It gives you so many puzzle pieces and then gives you an even bigger set of questions. Oden is one of my favorite characters because he's kinda like a mismash of miyamoto musashi with his 2 sword style and starting as a wild ruffian with insane strength who eventually becomes one of the most revered and respected samurai ever and good old Hercules with his insane feats of strength.
My theory is that One Piece is just the anime version of The Loony Tunes episode Duck Amuck where Daffy interacts with the animator and Laugh Tale is where the window from the paper to to artist is.
Now... hear me out... of all I now know what Mama Drawk likes in One Piece I'm almost certain she'd love Fullmetal Alchemist. Especially since the mangaka loves her animals. Also it's finished and relatively short for shonen.
Please make sure she at least gets to watch episode 1015 when the time comes. The dub version is quite amazing, as someone who has watched the entire dub. Regardless of sub or dub, I BEG YOU, SHE MUST SEE IT.

Re-read it as the most indulgent self insert where the samurai-land man is the biggest coolest strongest boy ever and gets all the women. I understand why this scene fits into the Robin and Jinbei ship, but only if you seriously roll over Franky's and Robin's actual dialogue. But you can ship them, I don't mind that!
@Mamadrawk what is the schedule for the upcoming chapters, because I have a suggestion. Instead of reading every time a chapter releases, start reading a new manga. Every time 5-6 chapters pile up, analyse them as a set. That way you can broaden your manga base and be up to date with One Piece. I suggest start with Attack on Titan. You would love dissecting it.
It's on the Vod, but my instincts are pretty simple! I think you can reasonably make him anywhere in the Jund slice, depending on what moment and aspects for Luffy you want to represent! Black for ambition, drive and single mindedness Green for his empathy, affinity with animals, pursuit of raw power, and making himself stronger And red is the biggest one, for impulsiveness, recklessness and energy

One of my favorite parts in the entire series is the famous Kanjuro scene. He's such a great character for so many reasons: the long set-up, the kabuki inspiration, both in looks and in literary role. I'm surprised Mama didn't talk more extensively about him for his narrative function. Great episode as always!

There’s a panel after Lady Toki said her bit about the Moon unaware of the dawn, there’s a Kaido ‘s soldier pulled out a gun and shot Lady Toki with a gun shot onomatopoeic rumble as she fell. It’s hard to imagine Toki did not want to die as Oden died. She was a samurai’s wife after all.

I love the Oden flashback because you get this fantastic character arc that ends in such a brutal tragedy. It gives you so many puzzle pieces and then gives you an even bigger set of questions. Oden is one of my favorite characters because he's kinda like a mismash of miyamoto musashi with his 2 sword style and starting as a wild ruffian with insane strength who eventually becomes one of the most revered and respected samurai ever and good old Hercules with his insane feats of strength.
My theory is that One Piece is just the anime version of The Loony Tunes episode Duck Amuck where Daffy interacts with the animator and Laugh Tale is where the window from the paper to to artist is.
Now... hear me out... of all I now know what Mama Drawk likes in One Piece I'm almost certain she'd love Fullmetal Alchemist. Especially since the mangaka loves her animals.
Also it's finished and relatively short for shonen.

Oden sounds like Oda. I read the Oden flashback as Oda's parody of self inserts in stories. Don't think the first chapter of the Oden flashback is interesting? Re-read it as the most indulgent self insert where the samurai-land man is the biggest coolest strongest boy ever and gets all the women. Makes it even more hilarious later on when all the coolest most important people in all of history respect him and want to be his best friend.

Thusly i believe that the bird is in rogers egg.
I also think the ancient weapons are not weapons, but rather terraforming vessels from the lunar civilization from when they migrated to the one piece world from the moons. I also think some of the moons might have been originally land masses on the planet that were removed to restructure the world and further control it along with the redline.

Mama dismissing the Shanks & Buggy friendship is so sad to me 😢. They're "hatred" for each other is very much like Sanji & Zoro's relationship. It's a rivalry, but underneath it all they are Nakama. I think she just doesn't like Buggy so it's hard to wrap her head around OTHER characters liking Buggy, but baby Buggy was such a cute lil jerkward ❤

sorry but small correction to Robin on Franky's offer to ride with him: she said it was nice that he was offering (with a small heart at least in the translation I was reading), but Brook took the seat instead, thinking that he was meant. Then Sanji very enthusiastically offered Robin to drive with him in the tank but she declined immediately and settled to just walk with Jinbei instead.
I understand why this scene fits into the Robin and Jinbei ship, but only if you seriously roll over Franky's and Robin's actual dialogue.
But you can ship them, I don't mind that!

Instead of reading every time a chapter releases, start reading a new manga. Every time 5-6 chapters pile up, analyse them as a set. That way you can broaden your manga base and be up to date with One Piece.
I suggest start with Attack on Titan. You would love dissecting it.

It's on the Vod, but my instincts are pretty simple! I think you can reasonably make him anywhere in the Jund slice, depending on what moment and aspects for Luffy you want to represent!
Black for ambition, drive and single mindedness
Green for his empathy, affinity with animals, pursuit of raw power, and making himself stronger
And red is the biggest one, for impulsiveness, recklessness and energy
