Everything is well done. The only suggestion I have for anyone watching is to secure the steering wheel with the seatbelt. If it turns even half or one revolution past it's limit it will snap the steering clock spring and set the airbag light. Ask me how I know.

I hope I'm wrong but I may have to do this to the family van soon I literally just finished a few hours ago changing both front wheel bearings, inner and outer tie rods, front struts, rear shocks, all sway bar links, and both lower control arms and I still feel there's something not quite right other than alignment needing done and tires on the front. But anyways I really appreciate your videos they have helped me immensely only difference is I live in WV so there was lots of PB Blaster, Freeze Off and others used as well as a good bit of swearing and cussing lol. You are doing a really great thing for folks!! Really appreciate it!!

@@abitoffblacksmithing9985 Simply put - just follow this guys instructions - they are excellent - you will come to the point where you can't remove the steering rack and you will see it - the drive shaft runs from trans to the back axle - I chose to undo the driveshaft where it meets the trans - drain the smelly oil- slide the new rack in - replace driveshaft - tourque specs and order of tightening I can't help you with, I went rock star and just did it - The best advice I could give tho is this- It's a 2001 van, buddy there's just gonna be more problems heading your way, get it fixed and trade it in.

It was used mainly a highway driver before I got it and I drove it locally for a couple of years. The main issues I have are of course electrical!!! Thank you for responding to my inquiry!! I do appreciate it! Time to go rock star!! Lol! 🤟

For anyone interested. I got that bolt at the steering connection on the bottom of the Rack out this morning. 2 minutes. Use a 21 mm or 13/16 stubble box wrench, set it on the nut accessing it from the exhaust side, and just let it sit making sure it is on the nut by feel. Don't even have to hold it in place, just wrench the bolt off from the bottom. I'm talking about that 1 single nut and bolt holding the rack under the driver side of the vehicle. Hope this helps.

Hey just as a helping him for us that live in the epic rust belt.
You can change the rack and pinion without removal off that lower subframe plate.
Take the inner tie rod ends off the new rack and pinion. Take them off the old one as well with it in the car. You can access the bolts from underneath. Once those are off you're able to slide the old rack-and-pinion going through the center hole.
To save yourself some time as well taking off evap canister. You can get a long handle I believe 21 mm wrench down through the you'll have to stick your arm between the engine and and cruise control but it can be done I did it this weekend

!! A second and a half to remove the two rear cradle bolts?? Nooooooo waaaaaaaay! I've had such a problem removing mine just to remove the cradle pan for other repairs (lower control arms, etc) that I've considered taking an angle grinder and cutting away the part of the pan that's held by the rear cradle bolts to make future repairs easier

@@BOSSC351sProductions Yup. I watched your second video and saw it was removed. That was fun! Man, no room to do anything under there! Got the low pressure hose off, but the high pressure nut is stuck/fused big time. Soaked it with CTC Break Loose and using a claw foot. Thinking about cutting the line near the nut/connection to try to get a regular socket on there with the impact. Any thoughts or tips?
