I was thinking about a complete rework for Kang. Make him a 5/5 with the text: "can't be played before turn 5. On reveal: View your opponents hand." I think given Kang is one of the strongest characters in all of Marvel, he deserves an ability to match. The fact that lesser known characters have better abilities and more playability just feels like a misstep from the devs.
That is a weak ability. You could freely remove the restriction and he'd still be not very much played, even though he'd be more played. But that's nowhere nearly deserving of a Big Bad effect.
I've always wanted Kang to be "On Reveal: Fill your hand with variants of Kang." Time travel is a key component of who Kang is but I'd argue that the millions of different variants of Kang are even more key. We even have one in Iron Lad, that could be one of the ones that's added to the hand or it could be 7 unique ones. I like the idea of him being a toolbox card but the draw back is that it denies you a draw into the next turn and you might not get the ones you really wanted since it's unlikely your hand was only Kang before it was played. One potential con is that it might be too good with Devil Dino but Dino's been out of the meta for a while anyway so I'd say it's worth a try.
That would be a strong synergy with sunspot + shehulk + infinaut + high evo stuff and since your opponent would float energy, strong for red hulk and counters wiccan and speed. Not sure if he's too strong because of that but its worth a try
Please don't take Raccoon from bounce :D But for all others, could be cool turn-6-reveal-combo. I think drawing a card isn't problematic on strength first, but primarily due to homogenizing all games you play with deck including it. Cool little discussion, thanks :)
I think that it would be cool if Adam was a 2/1, same text, HOWEVER, with an effect similar to Nebula, where the turn he is played does not count. This way, you opponent should have time to react and he would fit well in lockdown decks
Since Crystal controls the four elements makes her a 3/5 that applies a random buff (out of 4) to both players cards (top of my head)top deck -2 cost (fire), top deck+3 power (earth), the lowest cost card in hand is free (air), add a random cost to both players hand* (if i get a 5 cost they get a 5 cost) (water). Shout out to Coccia for inspiration this makes her a wild card that is powerful but probably too unwieldy *of the same cost
aah I like the idea with the Guardians of "let's reward you for predicting what opponent will do". "Activate" makes it so easy to "predict" that it wouldn't be rewarding. there must be another way of making them cool
Adam Warlock getting Soul Stone’s old ability would be fitting. Soul Stone was really fun, and it now no longer exists in any capacity. Not sure what his Cost and Power should be though. 1-1 Ongoing could still be relevant in today’s game state.
That was my first thought playing different games tha when they brought the new activate mechanism they would be changing few old cards to activate so everyone could try the mechanism and give feedback but oh well.

I'd assume no, as you "played" that card on a previous turn. Activating vs. Playing. Also note you can activate a card same turn it's played. Ex: Play white tiger on top of SSM on turn 5 and activate SSM after WT is down. SSM will then activate on turn 5, making WT reveal happen again. A lot of people think a card already needs to be down to activate.
Reducing Muramasa shards to a 0 cost does make Daken worse... As a 1 cost, you have 3 options to get proc. You can destroy in lane, you can discard in hand, AND you can destroy across lanes with Monger. Reducing to 0 cost takes away one of those very important options. Just give Daken +1 power and call it a day.

You have to remember that there is the potential for multiple swords. The possibility for an exponential power up for already strong cards in a lane is just too much. I think the +1 power for Daken is all that is needed. Yes, it gives him more utility, but it also puts him in Shang's sights. Perfect balance imo.

Maybe for Elektra keep her stats and effect but add "If she destroys a card, add its power to this card" So this could make her a powerful late game card. Say youre battling a bounce deck with Silver Sable who got its effect off twice, Elektra snipes it and that 5 power now goes to her making her a 1/6
My cook for Adam Warlock is On Reveal: If there is a 1-Cost card at this location, Draw a Card. This would make him fairly thematic in or against a Thanos deck, since he deals with the Infinity Stones. (I don't know what the cost/power should be honestly)
@@ItsGuestGaming I'm in the camp of him needing to be a little overpowered. I don't really see it happening because Wiccan exists and that puts it over the top in terms of impact, but as a Thanos player, it's very frustrating how often you don't draw a stone in the first three rounds with him. That's really all he brings as a six cost is the stones. Alone, he's not remarkable except he takes a spot in your hand and is unplayable until round five or six. It feels like something is needed to offset his downsides a bit more.

Great video, I personally don't really like the change to the guardians. Being activate is a very real buff, but I feel it takes away from the flavour of them needing to be in the right place at the right time. I feel the guardians have been relegated to early pool decks, as simple pointslam cards. If there's anywhere they can shine in the future, they should be pretty decent in a draft mode of sorts.
What if: Kang 3 Cost - 5 Power (Following the tradition of "Blue people with 3 cost and 5 power" that was going on), ACTIVATE: Look at what your opponent did, then restart the turn. (without this) Good stats, a path opened to use him on Silver Surfer, and cost lowered so is not such a sacrifice to add decks. I was thinking of putting his effect so it says "Restart the turn to when this card was played" but that's just going to be a slugfest, and if Arishem plays it on turn 2 and at turn 6 it Activates then everyone is going to for sure leave (And leave without 2 cubes, if Arishem snapped Turn 1) There's a lot of mind games earlier on the game, where either the enemy has to see if they wanna keep their gameplan and who to drop in each round, or skip so the Kang player keeps guessing what he's going to be playing against. Hell, now that I think about it, maybe dropping this hypothetical Kang to a 3-2 would be better, so any Red Guardian or Lady Deathstrike stop him if any player finds this Kang annoying
There’s no reason for making the Guardians activate type cards. They’ll lose a bunch of synergies with on reveal support cards, you’re giving an opponent a heads up basically giving them the control over the ability that already is very opponent dependent, and they become a complete garbage on the last turn. Thing is, the ability itself is trash and I don’t understand why they all have the same payoff, it’s so boring. Even if the developers insist on having this type of activator on them, each of the Guardians should have an interesting and unique effect attached to it. They’re one of the most flashiest and weird teams in Marvel so why are they so homogeneous in Snap?

The guardians idea is super legit and I love the Loki idea as well. Keeps the standard Loki deck a good deck but it makes the Loki/Arishem combo worse

I think Crystal giving your opponent +2 energy is too harsh a punishment for drawing one card, I think +1 energy would make more sense.
We went back and worth on this one but I'm actually pushing for two because idk if 1 is enough down side
