Now that's a huge meta shake up! Loving the War Machine change, but I doubt he'll stay at 4/7. That's way too cracked for his effect.
War machine’s deck encourage you to play infnaut and ebony maw. The problem is in a world where you don’t draw war machine those cards are literally unplayable.
Now the shift to storm gaming might be a thing ( storm legion war machine might honestly be a broken combo . But storm decks don’t usually have trouble winning storm lane. It’s the other lanes that are a problem

@@paulakroy2635War Machine was already insanely powerful and won me the most games more than any other deck. You have powerful 1 cost cards, Storm, Blink, etc. You can lockdown locations, switch out cards for your more powerful ones, etc.
War Machine is gonna go crazy with Ebony Maw, Jean Grey, Hope Summers, Infinaut, Giganto, etc.
This is going to spawn a new archetype, the unplayable being playable. I can already see this being a level of annoying as the share Sauron era was. But letting it cook for now is going to be enjoyable

They killed the toxic Sandman meta just to create a new toxic meta with War Machine Clog/Lockdown
I don't think that Sandman is dead,you can still play Sandman turn 5 into Ultron turn 6. And opponent can't play 2 cards like Kitty + Darkhawk, only Darkhawk in a lot of games. It is still strong.
He'll be good with lower cost decks like Havok/Thena, which still play well; Devil Dino, Darkhawk, SS, and Toxic decks helping prevent big cards to come down the line on t6
@@impkiller5932 I was thinking about Silver Surfer decks too. They love playing either 2 3's or 3 2's with Sera, and with Sandman, that ain't gonna happen.

Well I took a break for 2 months and tried to come back recently and its been extremely tough to try and catch up with all the cards currently. If you do come back good luck man its ridiculous.
And the card is still perfectly playable.
I mean. Going from a Top 1% Card to a top 2% card is hardly a problem.
If you just bought Sandman (unlikely since he's series 3 if I recall correctly), then that would be a valid complaint. This one is not as 1 power on a REAAAAAALLLLLLYYY good card that's good in 100+ decks is not going to change your life.

@@gingerail4605 i think the Dev try to make Sandman less hate by players, took one example, if usually Sera Surfer had 3 Cards for turn 6 (Surf, Monger, Sebastian) now after patch can play 2 cards instead of just 1 card block by Sandman

it's really frustrating to be chasing a meta-defining card like mockingbird only to watch it slowly get nerfed over time until you finally get it in the most recent spotlight...to nerf it again. Super glad my hype for using my spotlight keys was unfounded. After 2-3 nerfs it should automatically be dropped to series 4 to reflect the decrease in quality. Never got to play peak Mockingbird and now I never will.

@Alex-zi1nb this is a real issue in the game though, doesn't matter how little or big the change is. People finally, FINALLY obtain a meta or "good" and it gets nerfed. They really need a system that refunds currency or something when cards grt nerfed. Like hearthstone.

@@h445it's literally a buff, 10+ power card is always shang chi target, if by shangchi'd your mockingbird lane wins me the game, why not. With 9 power, your mockingbird will save 100%. You need to play mockingbird early before your opp play mobius

I don't get this take - The amount of games I lose by 1 power in a lane is not zero, but it's so vanishingly small I can't even remember the last time it happened. Maybe a week ago? Maybe more? This is not a problem my dude. Man (or woman) up and take the nerf like you've got the spine to handle it.

Oh no, the Mockingbird one hurts. As a 10 cost she worked with Skaar, could be drawn from the location that gives you a 10 power card, etc. I did actually like her as a 6 cost for the benefits rather than a 5, but I guess it makes sense 😞

Turning Sandman into Dream Dimension is honestly really clever.
I've been using an Amazing Spider-Man themed move deck with Silver Sable, Ghost-Spider, Silk, Kraven, Madame Web, Spider-Man, Vulture, Symbiote Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Doc Oc (Superior Variant), Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099. It's been SO fun! I used to have Spider-Ham in it before Madame Web came out and that was also fun and effective.
Nice, I'm running a similar deck, I think Arana will be very good to work with 2099 and Scarlet Spider will be very good with Arana and Symbiote.
I'm running Late Bishop for the Grapple Arrow and overall versatility
Love these videos that go over OTA changes. A lot of other channels just run into gameplay with the new changes leaving me confused. Good to have a source reviewing this information.

While I do think these changes are all pretty decent with the exception of Agatha (which I think only makes the card atomically better at the cost of taking away part of what made her special) there are quite a few cards that are just as deserving or more deserving of reworks than them such as America Chavez, Colossus, Kang, Howard, Giganto, Phastos, Adam Warlock, Crystal, Okoye, Nakia, and Sword Master to name a few
This game is doing the helldivers method. Making everything broken until they eventually nerf it all to the ground. War Machine is finna go dummy

What an OTA! They just keep getting weirder and weirder and I love it!!
Every card I buy gets nerfed a week or two later. Lol. Or in the case of Loki re-worked to a state that isn't fun to play. I liked Loki how he was before the 3/5 change. Warmachine is going to become a 4/5 for sure though. 4/7 with the ability to play anywhere and play on turn 5 and still drop a T6 20 power Infinaut is going to be a problem. He enables too much and himself has a strong statline. But for those who have him, enjoy him.
As a newer player with limited keys needing mockingbird the week after the cache is a literally SD spitting in my face. You could’ve done this prior easily no issue. I only opened sable for mocking bird and they knew that would be the case for many. I never would’ve opened sable and water 4 keys if I wasn’t pushing for mockingbird. I do not care if it’s a minor nerf. They know what they’re doing and they absolutely railroad their loyal customers. Only played a couple months may quit now. This company is greedy.

Sandman nerfs suck. Make it an ongoing or something at like a 3-4 cost or don't nerf him at all. He's a good card to punish decks that like to play a lot of cheap cards late and is very predictable, so low cube rates.
It is still punishing decks that love to play many cards. Like they can play only 2 cards that cost 2 energy or they can play 3 energy card and 1 energy card. That's all.

Sandman is always catching strays. I miss the old Ongoing Sandman/Electro ramp.
If Agatha is still acting every other turn, then it doesn't sound like it triggers the timeout to force retreat. If anyone faces an Agatha farmer after this they'll be waiting an entire turn duration now which makes the issue worse
I'd love to see the Agatha change to EGO as well.

After sooo many games with Black Cat, there were maybe 2 games in which I could use it properly. I almost always pulled out her in the first 3 rounds, which is very frustrating. I don’t think that 1 power is the change that would needed. 😂😂😂
Maybe “Always draw on turn 4. If this is in your hand after the turn, discard it.” And of course with less power. I don’t really understand why they didn’t do it earlier.
And the fact, that they give 10-10 power, to a 4 and a 5 cost card, while they change a 6 cost card to 9 is just funny. 😂
Very good game, one of my favorites, but they don’t really try to improve it sensibly. And not only in terms of gameplay, but also in the menu, there should be a lot of changes in terms of flexibility.
Card that synergizes with itself and solves it's own problem makes no sense.
If you Aren't playing black Cat With Ghost Rider you're doing it wrong.
I have her in a Ghost Rider, Black Knight, Moon Knight, Stature deck.
If Cat drops herself when I've played Black night , I get a 4-9 card for free. Either way I can GR her back for 4-14 turn. That's SUPER strong.
If I've black bolted or moon Knighted the enemy, I can drop 4-14 in one lane, and 1-7, plus possibly another 1-3 in other lanes 24 power slam on turn 6 is nothing to scoff at, and dropping 14 on curve is also pretty slick.
4-12 was good, 4-14 is good enough I'm going back to that deck to ride the wave for a bit.
(also it's amazing for death-related locations).
Thank you for the fast update Alex, you're the best. Also at this point SD should just put Ghost Rider and Moon Girl as 3 costs with the amount of power creep the game has it could be good for them
i just got mockingbird on both accounts. i don’t have him, but skaar forms what is quite possibly one of my favorite deck archetypes ever. and no, i’m not even mad about the mockingbird change lol i mean if you care so much she’s still VERY playable in skaar and now you don’t need like caiera or anything and you’re not as rushed to play her super-early

I never thought War Machine was bad. He turns Goose, Storm, and Infinaut into location winners and packs a decent punch at 7 power. Now he can get 2 turns of benefit and open up turn 5 plays. This is huge.

Speaking about the moon girl buff made me think of old zabu, I used to play a black knight deck with quinjet, zabu and moongirl, turn 6 would always be crazy with 2 3/20 ebony blades that couldn't be destroyed

Just got to the actual Sandman nerf - man that is going to kill that card. They should have left his stats, change the test to the new text, but only for your opponent.
War Machine just skyrocketed holy hell.
Sandman was legit. Got to infinite with a solid Sandy deck. Plus that sand in the face animation is hilarious.
9:49 I really do think it's just to combat those bots... In Proving Grounds easily 50% of the time it's a 1 cost Agatha bot, and 35% it's macro that retreats on turn three just for the boosters

For that ability, he could be a 4/5 and still be worth it easily. Enchantress is probably about to skyrocket in play rate.

Let aero control air and move all cards played this turn to this location destroy, zoo, shuri thanos, silver surfer, these are just a few decks that she would be good against but not op in let her return. Lockjaw was brought back bring her back.

Shuri numbers too high thanos the same as zoo it fills the board and high numbers both could beat aero. Zoo fills the board aero wouldn’t matter it doesn’t matter where the cards are as long as there buffed.

Also a nice buff for Black Knight Skaar Decks. I used to run a Black Knight Hela deck with Black Cat as a consistent third discard if I don’t have my Blade or Sif. BK decks always lacked that third discard effect which made them consistent, now that you can low roll 10 power and get Skaar down to 4 more often I can see it being a rogue deck.
I think if this is going to be sandman's new effect. I think it should only effect the opponent, be an ongoing and should be the the opposite to sera.
Holy hell that WM change! I've loved him in my cope Jean deck. I wanted to grab Madame web for that 2 slot piece but as I want Scarlet Spidey and the White Widow variant more I only had 2 to spare. Used 2, got 1k tokens and the Silk variant (the one variant I didnt want) so figured eh I'll just grab Madame in a future cache.
But then this WM change? I don't really know if I need Madame as much. It would still be nice but considering my GreySandMachine deck also uses Goose this is going to be super nice. I can slot Cosmo in now too and shift some cards to more ongoing like Klaw.

I immediately go towards the Black Knight deck when thinking about the War Machine change. I really think something is there with that along with the buff to Ghost Rider. Big deck potential

@@amcc8188 the meta when war machine came out had a Black Knight deck already around using Giganto and Infinaut. These just became better and a lot thought War Machine would be work in the deck but then it flopped
Surprised that Cozy didn’t mention how much better Agatha Arishem decks will be. Been able to consistently having a high power turn 5 is nothing to scuff at.
I think Alex might have overlooked the "(max 6)" note on Sandman's revised ability, given how he spoke of Sandman/Ultron in the past tense. The nerf doesn't impact how the Sandman deck plays out at all, all it does it make Turn 6 a little less oppressive on the opponent (but I still wouldn't want to be playing Bounce into it).

Shoulda left Sandman alone. He was fine. Bounce, Sera, Negative, etc. needed a hard counter.
Moon Birl hasn't been the same since the cap to hand size? Maybe allow her to uncap hand size? Would make more sense lore-wise for her to enable Devil Dino's true potential. Also, would allow newer F2P players a competitive edge climbing into Rank against the higher cl players if only marginally.

The most surprising this is that WM still has 7 power im sure they'll take away like 3 or 4 power or even increase his cost to stop the zabu plays

Agatha is a little interesting, odd turns are actually specifically useful, the dream being you storm where ever she played turn 2, pro x a lane you are winning on 5, and she can only play herself in one lane 🤣

Buffing Ghost Rider really just seems out of touch with the game. It's never been a bad card and it doesn't need more power. It only moves out of the meta when the meta doesn't favor cheating out huge dudes.
Also hate when they delete cards like with Sandman.
The Agatha change is so bad, now I have to do my own dailies.
Curious how Sandman and Black Swan will work. Will they cost 1 or 0? Which one wins?
Stature and Miles should still cost 1 as well. Iceman doesn't do anything to Stature.
0. Any debuffs to 1 cost cards are undone if you use Black Swan. I saw it happen first hand when Icebox changed my Demon to a 2-6 and the opponent's iceman turned my Nico into a 2-2. I played Black Swan and they both came out as 0 costs.
I loved the old Aero.
I hate when I see the dev notes and they always say they wanted to reduce a cards cost but it would be too good. How about go with it and see if it’s actually true, I’d love to see a 3 cost moon girl and war machine for control meta to actually come back and shake things up
I love how they'll just destroy cards being used like zabu and then this war machine happens lol
They need to add a card that plays your cards on odd turns now, but you have to draw it before it will do it lol.

WOW! Thank God I Pinned War Machine. Still lacking 3100 tokens to be able to purchase it, may take me another 2 or 3 months, given the rate I receive tokens 😅
With regards to mockingbird, although she’s now not vulnerable to chi like you said zoo is just picking up why do second dinner do this to us 😂
Honestly, i prefer Mocking bird at 10 power because then shes vulnerable to shang chi. This just feels like a buff for her.

So I FINALLY save up 6k tokens and buy Mockingbird, she gets nerfed the VERY NEXT DAY, and now gets nerfed again. Really makes me want to spend money on this game, Second Dinner! Really great system you have here. Spend months saving resources and then have them retroactively wasted immediately.
