He works hard, don’t ask him.
Remember: a lego technique is only illegal if it’s damaging the pieces
Once said from The amazing earth
Or hurts people physically!
@@InactiveAcoountSpeltright just, just, just shush
I don’t know how to do it but I don’t think that’s what I mean it is just like that the whole thing is like a joke lol that’s what I mean
it’s also illegal if you put pressure on them
3:33 considering Tiago Catarino's explanation of why some technics are illegal, I actually doubt this is considered illegal, because it isn't really stressing the pieces
Those pieces were not made for a pole connection. They stress them.
@@Nio744 if I'm not mistaken, in the past they weren't, but now they have those holes intended to make in fact a pole connection
very early versions of that "boat stud" had in fact slightly smaller holes, but still big enough for a pole. This is different from for example very early inverted slopes, where the holes where in fact way to small.
Even if the hole isn't the right size, you could put four 1x1 circle plates with holes on each to get something similar
just cause its not an "official" technique that lego hasnt used doesnt mean its illegal as long as the pieces arent stressed or put through more pressure than usual
I sometimes wonder if LEGO piece designers thought of some of the techniques, like the one with 2x2 circle on rails? It feels too perfect to be a coincidence
What I constitute as illegal is how much stress is being put on the peices and how likely will something break
This is also how Lego defines what is and isn't legal
@@krzysiekchinbeard4442 There are certain techniques which don't apply stress to parts, but still wouldn't be allowed in an official set due to either being too loose or just not being a very good connection.
There's also the various techniques using minifigure arm, leg, and hand pieces which have been separated from their original parts. Those don't apply stress in and of themselves, but removing them requires a bit more force than is normally acceptable.
2:41 Thanks. I wanted to make a pentagon in lego without hinge plates/bricks and now I know it's possible.
6:08 and that’s how you put stress on a Lego brick
Came here to say that. I think some older sets used angles that Pythagoras did not approve.
5:53 this technique is also being used in the Coloseum set
Soo you see Lego can do almost every thing
You say it like dhar mann's actors
@@purpLCrown lol 😂
I think the keyword here is almost, everything Lego is designed to be a shelf piece and not actually used even the ones that come with motors because the parts fall apart too easily, so if you’re looking for a remote control car do not buy Lego if you’re looking for a cool building experience and a nice shelf queen item, buy Lego
Can it cook
With enough lego you can conquer the world
The plate in the 4:30 wheel was the first wedge by Lego with stud notches back in 1987 and thus is the only still unchanged design - so it's not THAT crazy to have a lot of them.
As a kid I did a few of these just messing around with my legos. I wonder if I'll go back to that soon.
You could make a "100 IQ building techniques" video which just shows the most basic of building techniques, like putting bricks... Onto other bricks. Or putting bars... Into clips. Perhaps even putting Technic pins into Technic pinholes if you're feeling daring
YES! LEGO should be more versatile. LEGO should provoke ideas than just "museum" builds.
2:46 would be perfect if they made a starcourt mall set from Stranger Things tbh
5:37 lego malibu mansion for Iron man actually used something like this
Brick Bending channel does a lot of geometrical designs like the giant wheel at 4:30. They are illegal builds, but they are also works of art and mesmerizing.
I'd be interested to see someone take these and show them in some kind of build to see how it can be used and what it'd look like in a build
Man I would do the meditation stance with the minifigures, but I'm afraid i may break the thing to connect the legs back on
don't be, just be merciless with them they are tough as hell fr
@@ioisdead7936 my lego splinter (ninja turtles) broke his arm when I tried to take it off, now I avoid doing it and when I do, I try to be as careful as possible
It’s really easy to do without breaking the underwear part of Lego minifigures. Just pull to the side of it and wiggle them to get them out easily.
@3:51 - 4:15 - Lay that lot out horizontally on the ground or on top of a wall, and you’ve got yourself a length of barbed wire…plus it would be flexible enough to curve around corners…
fun fact the Lego technique at 3:30 is possible to be made in Lego digital designer
a software made by lego
thus this technique is legal
5:50 that one is used in the snokes star destroyer set
That minifigure ray gun would look great for a toy store MOC.
I wish it wasn't just rendered pictures but you actually building the simple builds.
4:30 “If Theres a hole , There’s a goal” - Master Oogway
0:00 - 8:46 best part of the video
Yeah best part of the entire video
I didn't know most of these were possible! Cool vid!
Thanks dude 🙂
@@SpitBrix and @TD BRICKS hi big fan
3rd HI TY AND SPITBRIX
Hi
4:13 That's no brick, that's a monster
I feel like the chain could be used in like a nordic setting as a river chain blockade
I actually visited Legoland earlier today. Now i want to go back, and see if i can find any “illegal” building techniques there.
5:58 I recently assembled millennium falcon and similar technique is used on the roof of the set to connect 2-4 triangle pieces in a circular shape.
6:08 is a very illegal connection. The space between the jumper studs looks like 6 studs in length but it's actually 5.95 studs long.
#4:01 you could use it as barbed wire on the top of a fence
The math behind legos geometry is amazing. The fact that there is "Illegal" building techniques is a testament to how well it is designed.
4:06 You should ask BrickBending
4:00
I could see someone using these, provided they come in green, for climbing vines for a Lego Mario stage
Try doing top 10 used lego blocks
When he says hey guys welcome back to a Lego video is so iconic to me
3:50 I’ve made one myself but this requires a lot of those pieces.
This build is for more for decoration because they are loose and break apart easily.
I have some ideas for them:
- Hair dreadlock/braids
- Robotic muscle fibers
This build would make any build a more ‘organic’ appearance.
0:53 I used that method to make a DIY train.
It may not be Flawless but it doesn't actually damage the pieces so it's not illegal
2:47 the pentagun
Me: How many are illegal
This video: yes
"Rural Look"... It is called Thatch Roofing, and in the past it was poor man's roofing, which was usually rural but not exclusively
Can you do a video on mould King eclipse class imperial star destroyer, I want to know if it is made of actual legos or not
the one you say is illegal at 3:30 is surely not illegal; open studs are designed to hold bars, and no pieces are being stressed. What am I missing here?
I don't know this for a fact, just something I've noticed but older versions of this piece have thicker plastic around the open studs and it takes quite a bit more force to fit a bar in them so it might have been illegal at one point.
Try a hexagon tower with three, 2x4 bricks on each layer, connected on the corners.
Any fallout fans? If you take a silver ray gun and add a transparent neon green stud it looks almost exactly like a plasma pistol.
The bar clip chain, i thought it was little hands all interlocking and it made me think of SpongeBob when he keeps grabbing his arms and pulling them off and regrowing them 🤣
Lovely video
Childhood channel
Correct ✅
Noice, love ur channel!
You are the best UA-camr about Lego
Tired of hearing illegal building technique applied to any creative way of building with Lego
It is for techniques that damage bricks
2:54 I got it lol If you can get some sorta long pole piece to go into the blasters you can design a harvester c:
A Wonderful video!
4:08 this could be a spike strip
4:10 this can be used to make chinese fireworks (鞭炮) in a CNY set
I can't get over those "half bridge pieces" 😂😂
they're just called "arches"
You used to be so young, now you've grown so much 😄
wow, like some of them. try taking 4 clips and make that cool sqare.
Groovy tips.
1:10: Trains, anyone?
This isnt related to the video but on one of my sets i didnt get an instructions manual
Someone show this video to Brick Bending
Wanna see them used more, like with other pieces in a makeshift set
Can’t wait for 600 iq
Yoooo nice
Nice
Cool
[me at the Lego store]
‘Yeah, I need 144 wedge plates’
I want to see a video with lego Ninjago crystalized sets
Did you know LEGO is the largest manufacturer of wheels in the world.
Spitbrix I found a printing mistake on lego city set 60313 on step 6 of the truck
It would be cool to see if the big 3x6 edge piece disk to be used in as the helicarrier rotaries in a moc
What you can do by attaching 5 ray-guns together? Oh I can think of one *thinking of the pentagram*
damn that lego brick 6'4
5:36 i love squares
3:40 Why should I care what technics Lego uses or not? I can do what i want with my bricks :D
Make a Lego asmr, I’m first
Edit: the hinge plate can be used for railway tracks to change track
*spits irl* bricks *spits twice* bricks SpitBrix!!
every youtuber should have these ''adds'' on the end of the video like how you did
I used alien blaster brick to reverse studs
I wish LEGO was more focused on technique style than pushing culture sets. Show kids & adults how to build cool useful stuff, & more alternate builds.
the bar clip can be a jail bar or barbed fence
Technique No.1: _Add a couple other bits and you have a sitting Doggo_
I built the bar clip chain one I while ago and have it laying around not knowing what to do with it yet😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This is not illegal it's creative
1:13 that chould be useful in a lego mario set
My brain is hurting
idk why im even watching this ... last time i had a lego brick in my hand was 30 years ago lmao but still interesting
I love Lego as much as the next person but that Lego yoga image is CURSED.
big brain
I feel like alot of them are illegal in the sense that a lot of them can make unstable builds that crumble easily
The meditating guys hips definitely don’t lie 🥵
I have to say the first technique very well may be illegal. You can see the orange modified tile’s studs sort of clip into the adjacent orange tile, which suggests strain on the parts somewhere in the system. I would guess the stress is taken by the clips, which could weaken or break them over time.
Just tried: The stress is so much, it just disconnects on the other side. You'd need a tile version of that bar plate for this to work.
quick, get out, rruuunnn the police is coming. HE JUST COMMITED ILLEGAL BUILDING TECHNIQUES
can you pls make more Lego mixels videos pls and make mixes mega max a and custom maxs
The hinge plates are clever af. They’re used frequently in the titanic
Don't you mean thinking outside of the blocks? ;D
Theres a illegal way to do studs on top and bottom imma make a vid on cool building techniques
