I love this channel so much!! Thank you so much for being so real when it comes to singing!!☺️🎵 I heard you talked about breathing in your lower back when singing in another video and I have tried that, but I’m a little bit confused about how to do it correctly. Maybe you can make a video on how to breath from your lower back?😊 awesome video as always👏🏻

I was in choir all through middle/high school. I always got thrown around between alto and soprano depending on song we were doing.. Not trying to develop as singer independently. I just found your channel..
Edit. I also have the yousician app according to my comfortable sample notes im C5-G5 your mixed voice video on that was what brought me here

My recorded vocals are from E0 20hz to C10 (Guinness Record Holder for lowest female vocal note was on a bad day). I was scoped and told I have two sets of vocal cords. I’m working at getting a strong “Heart” sound, I can hit any note just trying to get consistency for the strength with rasp.

I disagree with using low notes as a reference.
I have 2 cousins who can both sing much lower than me down to D2-E2.(not vocal fry)
But they can also speak with no effort to F4-G4 area. Even when they first started singing, those notes were always accessible.
While for me, i can at best sing F#2, but when i started, my top range was a A3 lmao , and it took me Years to expand my Modal Range to F4-G4 which have the same intensity as harry styles G4-A4
Theres no way i can speak softly an F4 without an extremely high larynx and all sorts of technical placement.(not counting head voice)
While my cousins who can go much lower can just on a whim speak F4-G4.
Now youd say whats the catch? Well ill tell you.
Both my cousins lack any volume in their 3rd-2nd octave. On a C3 i can probably make the whole floor hear me, while their C3 they can barely reach outside the room.
But in pop music, its all microphone so tenors can just whisper a G2 and be able to sound like a lower dramatic voice type.
Resonance is the word, not range in my experience with voices

Not to nitpick, but I've always known Alto as just a choir section and not a voice type. For voice type I've always known the female types as Soprano, Mezzo, and Contralto. By order or prevalence with qualifiers like dramatic, lyric, and coloratura. With most contemporary pop singers, including the ones you mentioned just being sopranos. For a Mezzo I would think of Tarja Turunen. She spent most of her time with Nightwish singing as a lyric soprano, despite having the rich tambre of chest voice you'd expect from a natural Mezzo.
This doesn't disagree with anything you've said. In fact I'd say it agrees with you. Tarja sang outside her tessitura classification for a long part of her early career due to hard work and training. She didn't start to show off her Mezzo colors until later on. An example to see would be her cover of Muse's Supremacy or I Walk Alone Love In Milan. Diana Ankudinova is another good example of someone not being bound by their tessitura thanks to hard work and good vocal placement.

Hey Jae you should check Ryan Tedder as artist breakdown series. He’s the lead singer of the OneRepublic, and he has a such a dang good voice
