As a person who actually PLAYS the game, I have absolutely 0 problems with them reprinting expensive playable cards for more people to play and have fun with. Especially if it's reprinting them in cool looking rarities. Fabled Lurrie is a staple in the Fiendsmith engine, and hasn't been reprinted in a long time, maybe ever? All of the cards in the main set make sense to some degree. Six Sams and Ancient Gears have had support recently and/or haven't had reprints of big cards in a long time/ever. Nemesis cards and Protos are used in a few meta/rogue decks. Others are just popular or used in the meta at some point. I love the meta cards and good reprints but also LOVE the nostalgia cards because I was around for almost all of them being good/popular, so it makes me feel good seeing them getting great rarity bumps or even just reprints so I can grab some just to have without spending a TON of money.
People are unhappy because of the timing of reprints straight after tins. Im annoyed that i bought some bonfires and now the price is 📉. Not for making money but spending my money efficiently
@verycalmgamer4090 I can agree with that. It's unusually... aggressive for Konami to do that. It doesn't kill the tins value completely, there's still some stuff like Chaos Angel and Typhon in there, but it is immediately after them with a lot of major reprints straight from the Tins like you said. I do feel bad those of you who spent good money on the tins reprints and others who bought $40 SPs, only for them to be reprinted again in around a month or so? That does feel bad. I don't think Konami has ever been this fast to re-reprint major cards like this before. Not like THIS.

Honestly this set is balanced. Cuts the prices on some stales and brings back some old cards for Edison as well. Konami actually tried to make everybody happy and succeded.
except if you're playing retro formats this set is not worth to purchase. Theres 200 nostalgia cards in the set, but you only get ONE old card per pack. so if you want some specific cards for edison or similar, you get a 1 in 200 chance per pack. I'll fucking pass lmao
As a newcomer to the game, it’s all a lot to take in and get up to speed on what cards are ‘stable’, what cards are reprints and how many different reprints there are. I collected when I was a lot younger but didn’t really understand much about the game but I’ve recently gotten back into it because of my younger brother and we’re really enjoying playing together. It’s become our go-to thing to do which is important for me because I’m 25 and he’s 12, which makes it hard to bond over things. This new release seems really great, for all the reasons mentioned by others but allowing rarer cards to be experienced by more people. Great video and love all your content, keep it coming!
Ah thats sweet. A few packs or a box would probably be a nice gift for Christmas too - but maybe a bit expensive. Would certainly make him (and you) happy. Cant believe its almost that time of the year again.

My ONLY gripe with the set is that they didn't do more cards per pack. like 5+2 or something. Also Ruxin, it's not a 50-50 of platinum or QCR, so A LOT more than 400 packs for all nostalgia.
Yeah 5 card per pack and only 1 card from the nostalgia pool of 200 seems a bit stingy. Big set, expensive packs but not enough cards in the pack. 7 or even wouldn’t have hurt anybody 😅
Recently got into Yu-gi-oh this year after not having played since I was maybe 7 back in 2005 but Ive been enjoying being back and collecting cards its crazy to see how everything has evolved over the past 20 years. It would be incredible to get a set of the quarter century bonanza to see all a lot of the classic cards I remember from way back when. Also love watching your unboxings :) the hype for the blue eyes magia is real. Also GG on pulling the red-eyes cards. I run a mostly pure red-eyes deck myself
I absolutely love this new set! The new platinum secret rares, especially have impressed me, and all of the great cards in the nostalgia pool.make me excited to open it.
The rarity upgrades for old time wizard cards are really awesome. The split pool between modern/nostalgia is a great way to creat value for players of multiple formats.
I don't have an issue with them reprinting cards in the tin. This year's tin had such bad rates that for those of us that only buy a couple tins, we weren't pulling those cards anyway.
As someone who is a mix of a nostalgia collector and modern player I think this set does a great job of mixing them, looking forward to getting some QCR clockwork night and machine dupe for cyber dragons!
This set was awesome. Loved pulls. I got all kinds of awesome QCRs. Dark Magician Girl Alt Art, Toadally Awesome, Graceful charity, and a few others. I got 7 QCRs in both of my boxes

I like sets like this, so long as they communicate some expectations for the customers and plan the releases all year for sensible timelines and reprints
This set is awesome! So many cool reprints, really excited for the old school cards, and hi rarities. Just started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! with my son, and created a plethora of packs to open and a shop system for us to build our decks, teaching him from the ground up. Been super fun! Keep up the good work Rux!
To me these types of set are extremely helpful to collectors and players because it helps gets those staples to the playing side and higher rarity cards to those we can’t drop $50 or more on a single card that’s why I also believe they need to make changes to the arts of their cards so those certain cards can hold their value
This set is so cool! The red-eyes support, the dark magician of chaos and the polymerization alt art are definitely making this set better to me. The only thing I can criticize are the doubles in some packs.
These look beautiful! I’ve come to terms with them reprinting everything to death, so I’m glad that they’re at least making the cards look so dang pretty! Excited to open some of these myself
This set is simply insane, I didn't spoil myself before my opening as usual and it was such a pleasure to open, and the fact that QCRs aren't that easy to pull is so cool !

The card sticking problem sounds like moisture. Either in the air depending where you live, or ink/or whatever it is they use, that needs to dry a little out of pack first. Or it just stays sticky which would suck.

I do already own most the competitive cards in the set, but I still really love it! It’s amazing for budget players and the nostalgia pool is a lot better than I originally thought. I can finally get Cyber and Morphing Jar QCRs to finish off my QCR monsters in eldlich lol

Ancient Gear Fortress reprint was needed, because: We only had 1 single print of this card. A common in the Structure deck. The card alone went for 9€ + before the announcement of this reprint. Now it is 0.02€
I'm a fan of this set. There's a lot of cards in this set that have been too expensive in the past, whereas now I feel like there are more chances to get what you want as well as multiple copies.
This is one of the first sets in a long time that I am actually looking forward to. A lot of really nice reprints and the set holds a lot of both actual value and nostalgia value. Gonna need to order more from SassyOtto soon as they are close to home for me :)

As someone who has been trying to build sets for goat, edison and current meta its nice to see old cards with new shiny rarities while also newer cards getting reprinted that have been very much up there in price. So im excited for this set uwu
I personally love this box especially all the reprints in the set like jinzo, blue eyes, and summoned skull and a lot of other cool cards i like the CT10 cards and a lot of others that look soooo good love the content that has come from this set in particular
Rarity collections are good to get out shiny needed cards, staples and popular stuff but tins are still needed for bulk reprints for archetypes because until we see a tin many archetypes are just inaccessible for casual audience play. and sets like battle of legends while having reprints are also filled with a ton of new cards which have to compete for space and accessibility.
Since I'm coming back after many years, sets like this are amazing. It gives me the ability to get some cards that are harder to get since they came out after I stopped playing.
I think these are a positive. It was clear that some of those cards even with the tins were still high (like little knight) and they would reprint it again. The nostolgia set is the best part tho!

Had an absolute blast opening this set. Had a S.P. Little Knight right into a Triple Tactics Thrust and then a QCR Thunder Giant in one pack. insanity
Also those bent corners seem to be a US thing, or unlucky box, had none in UK
