i went to Temple 2012-02014. I did an online BSN bachelors of science in nursing. i went to the campus in the city about 6 miles from my house to use the library and get tutoring. Although farther i also went 12 miles to the ambler campus because it was not safe to go into the city. Because I did my classes online I had all communications through online sources. At least once a month there were ALERTS on the Temple online portal stating to avoid certain areas around the campus because there was a SHOOTING in that area. Actually, the past few years I have gone twice a year to the dental school as my primary dentist. I park as close as i can to the dental school but it is not a good area. You need to learn how to be alert, how to walk, how to look and not look at people. If you are not from the inner city you need to learn. It is not like some small towns were you walk casually and say hello to people trying to be polite and make friends. Frankly, as i saw another comment, I don't know why anyone would choose to send their kid to Temple either.
