Thanks for the very informative presentation on Samsung's 2024 8K Premier UST Projector! I liked, shared the video and put it on our website page for the Premier 8K UST Projector. So looking forward to Samsung's and Hisense's new 2024 8K UST Projectors and we'll have them competing at our 2024 UST Projector Shootout Evaluation event this early fall, 2024.
I got the 4k, 130” last year and it’s great! But it’s 2800 lumens vs this one at 4000 would be nice to see in person.
8k? What company is pumping out or broadcasting 8k? Does the device convert to 8k? How is that possible then.
In the video, Kate explains that it takes 4K image and upscales to 8K using an AI engine. would love to see this in person

Who even uses broadcasting? I'm looking at 8K TVs and haven't watched a broadcast in decades. Sometimes a high seas stream, but I've not subbed to an annual fee to get into that lifestyle as yet. There is a lot more to do with a screen than watching a broadcast. That's an 1980s mindset you go there. And even then, we were watching photos we took on a projector screen in a darkened room. I remember, can you?
@@ChillEppsHave you been able to see 4K and upscaled 8K back to back? It seems even Samsung sellers are in no hurry to demonstrate it. I'd love to see what that looks like. Both still closeups and slowed down closeups as well of course.
If these upscaling chips are actually good, and if they can get new firmware with better trained algos...that could help a lot with low res media sources and old media. Private video and pictures that were on lower res cameras. 1080P and 720P streams. If trained well, the result, from a fair viewing distance, ought to be better overall. Even a lot better overall. Just perhaps not ever single frame every single pixel. I think I could live with that if the trade off is net positive. If it's true that all 4K input just looks better on an 8K screen than an equivalent 4K...that's worth a lot to me. When using a screen for work, the extra resolution is welcome as well. What I notice with Samsung 8K TVs in the store is that colors may not be there with the OLED units, but the DEPTH is just next level. Those demo vids of midnight cityscapes...that's just 3D to me on 8K. Close ups on animals...so vibrant. The resolution brings images alive, to my relatively untrained eyes.
Any idea when this (and Premiere 7 and Premiere 9) will be out?

Samsung has not announced the launch date, but my dealer told me it's likely by the end of June and hopefully sooner. Yes you can ceiling mount this UST projector, but just remember to install the UST screen upside down as it rejects most of the light coming from above the image area. Mounting the UST projection screen upside down makes this a very nice and minimalist professional installation and it will work beautifully. You will also need to install an electrical outlet in the ceiling to power the projector and at least one HDMI cable if you have any sources to connect, e.g. cable box, of Blu-ray/DVD player. All of the streaming apps are built-into Samsung's new 8K HDR UST Premier projector. I have one on pre-order with Value Electronics.
Doesn’t the new 8k protector from Samsung have wireless? No need for HDMI? Will be connected to a Marantz AV10…any idea of pricing??
I don’t get how this makes any sense when there isn’t much 8k content out there? Don’t get me wrong I would be tempted to get it however it’s really no different to the 4K Premiere. Wireless? It’s a good idea suppose it removes the clutter of cables but knowing how much this may cost it could be well over the high end Premiere.
Upscaling isn’t true 8k either ! I would love to see/use one some day just to experience it in all its glory.
Correction, theres quite few difference. The lumens output alone is huge. Plus like she said, auto keystone, auto focus and a few other things. Inthink auto keystone is pretty nice. Another nice thing?? The price lol
