Tagore was so poor that his own people didn’t donate anything to him but he had to take help from independent tribal kingdom from north east. He also got books from the tribal king which helped him to establish shantiniketan.

Rabindranath Tagore was/is/will always be above any explanation. We can only dissolve into his genius work and enjoy. There isn't any award or prize that can truly measure his potential. He was a gift of god, and his work was a gift to us.

He didn't compose the national anthem of Bangladesh. Because when he wrote "ও আমার সোনার বাংলা আমি তোমায় ভালোবাসি" Bangladesh as a country was not formed. When Bangladesh was formed in 1972 after Pakistani army surrendered to Indian army on December 16th, 1971 . As a new born country, Bangladesh needed a national anthem. Hence the song was adopted as national anthem of Bangladesh.

Tagore was a polymath just like Leonardo Da Vinci. His thoughts and creation still resonate in the hearts of Bengalis across the globe. He didn't compose the national anthem of Bangladesh. Because when he wrote "ও আমার সোনার বাংলা আমি তোমায় ভালোবাসি" Bangladesh as a country was not formed. When Bangladesh was formed in 1972 after Pakistani army surrendered to Indian army on December 16th, 1971 . As a new born country, Bangladesh needed a national anthem. Hence the song was adopted as national anthem of Bangladesh.
