On top of that meta is supposed to also be a PCVR headset. It’s not trying to compete with the PC. Being able to play games in higher resolution and quality on PC is really nice, and that probably won’t happen for this game for a very long time
Yeah Arken Age looks awesome. I really hope it stands out and sells well. The team is much smaller and doesn't have the marketing budget or IP recognition of the other titles, but it looks like they've crafted a game that really takes advantage of VR. If it's as good as it seems, it deserves to sell well.
If all these games drop this last quarter of the year is insanely stacked for games! Behemoth is my most anticipated game right now but Batman, metro, alien, wanderer, arken age and ghosts of tabour psvr2 are all on my wish list

Definitely wait for reviews on all of them. PSVR 2 versions should be better visually, but it's gotten shoddy ports in the past, so that has to be assessed on a game-by-game basis. But if the PSVR 2 versions are good, you'll have to weigh whether enhanced visuals and extra features (haptics, adaptive triggers, eye-tracking) are worth more than the freedom of being able to play wireless, the clarity of pancake lenses, and any special features the Quest version might have.
It's wild the Quest 2 is still compatible with these 2025 VR games, makes me hopeful for how long the Quest 3 with stay relevent, probably until 2027-28 now that's value
Quest 2 is compatible with some of these games, and all of these games are supposed to come out this year. Who knows what next year will hold. The reality is that the Quest 3 install base isn't nearly as big as the Quest 2 yet (the 3s will likely help with that), so most developers still want to target the Quest 2. If the Quest 3 fails to hit the same sorts of numbers the Quest 2 had, developers likely won't cling to it as long when newer tech is available.

By the time the Quest 4 comes around, I feel like a lot of people would see the need for an upgrade, and hopefully more higher quality games get released more consistently, also helping with the marketing for the Quest 4.

But even with the smaller userbase, the Quest 2 is still the most profitable ecosystem to ship a game on (unfortunately). And by shipping most games on Quest 2, that feeds into the point you were making where a lot of people don't feel the need to upgrade since they can still play most games. PS5 has had a similar issue with PS4 crossplay titles. Four years into this console generation and they're finally trailing off. If there were a bunch of amazing exclusive Quest 3 games (Batman looks cool), or if MR games started to take off in a big way, I could see more people maybe upgrading. Without those, I could see the Quest headsets being like an annual sports game franchise, where many fans skip every second iteration.

Bad graphics, bad framerates (which don't make sense considering how much they butchered the graphics), still having button presses with automated animations in VR. Every single game shown here has me super hyped, except for Ghosts of Tabor cause I already own it. I feel like it might just be PSVR 2's version of Behemoth that was delayed. That's how it was with S&S Ch 2. But there are so many great games coming. Batman may force my hand to get a Quest 3.
Neither the Steam or Meta page have a release date listed. It'd be really shitty if only the PSVR 2 version was delayed. When the Quest 2 version of S&S ch2 came out first, that was announced pretty far in advance iirc. Hopefully this isn't what's happening again. I don't want to have to dodge spoilers for a month.

I feel like it might just be PSVR 2's version of Behemoth that was delayed. That's how it was with S&S Ch 2. But there are so many great games coming. Batman may force my hand to get a Quest 3.
Neither the Steam or Meta page have a release date listed. It'd be really shitty if only the PSVR 2 version was delayed. When the Quest 2 version of S&S ch2 came out first, that was announced pretty far in advance iirc. Hopefully this isn't what's happening again. I don't want to have to dodge spoilers for a month.
@GreyMatterShades I hope not too, I'm just a but pessimistic sometimes. I'd love it if PSVR2 versions of games released at the same time as the PC/Quest, but sometimes PSVR 2 gets the short end of the stick.
