ITS HALLOWEEN TIME!! So to start off the holiday, we took a look at the original 1978 Halloween On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith's Grove. He returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims. This movie started a lot and inspired the future to come for sure! Great murder Mystery!!

When Michael was at the school, you were wondering how nobody even recognized him. You have to remember, this was 1978. No cell phones and no internet and it was a small town 150 miles from where he escaped. They didn't get instant news like you get today.
Not to mention anyone who saw him as a kid wouldn’t know what he looks like as an adult if they didn’t see him for 15 years ( plus wearing a mask)
I think Halloween is the ultimate horror movie because it really relies more on pulling in the audience and keeping them guessing.

There's always been this comparison with Michael and Jason. Personally Michael is just much scarier and creepier. There's something much more invading about Michael. With him being stealthy asf and soo patient too. He takes his time with his victims, stalking them for hours on end without being noticed and then quietly killing his victims with no one even knowing what happened. For no reason too.
In the original he's portrayed almost like a ghost appearing and disappearing while still having the appearance and demeanor of a man. The boogeyman. The later films esp the Rob Zombie remake do so much trying to explain his behavior and explore the "lore" of what he is.. when not knowing why he's doing this, and just the blurred line of being a man or a supernatural being is exactly what made him scary, interesting and iconic in the first place.
Fortunately, John Carpenter took it back to its roots with the 2018 movie.
Exactly, he’s just a guy but the way Dr loomis speaks of him makes you think the opposite…idk why they insist on comparing him to Jason when Michael is the blueprint for him. Jason is simply a brute, not an ounce of intelligence within that man and his appearance does not make him creepy whatsoever to me…they ruined him by making him look like a zombie. Michael looks like a normal guy but his actions say otherwise. He’s the example of: it can happen anywhere to anyone and by anyone.
John Carpenter is genious. The way this is filmed is so good but the music, just repeating few note Carpenter made one of the most haunting themes ever put on films.

Michael and Chucky are my two fav slashers! One redefined horror as the first supernatural slasher and the other redefined killer dolls! Great reaction. I hope they do Child's Play but I remember WhiteGold don't like Chucky 😜 Michael would beat Jason since he's pure evil, Jason is just a Myers knockoff who's scared of water haha💦💧💧 . Myers is scared of nothing and in the Thorn trilogy(4,5 and 6) he is a demon, Jason in Jason takes manhattan lost to sewer water lol. Jason is a zombie, but Michael is the embodiment of evil.

That's the crazy part though, he's walking around with a mask ("costume") on Halloween. It wouldn't really be that out of the norm. Especially back in the day where kids used to go trick r treating and would get dressed up early in the day.

There are 3 different timelines:

3rd: Halloween (1978), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends
The Halloween and Halloween 2 movies that came out in 2007 and 2009 are remakes of the first two movies, directed by Rob Zombie.
Halloween 3 (1982) is a standalone movie. It doesn't have Michael Myers in it.
Michael Myers is in Halloween 3 and Zombie's Halloween 2 (2009) isnt a remake of anything.

Cool reaction. There was a theory or more so an assumption in the realm of Halloween(1978), I saw online. The assumption or theory was, if Laurie hadn't walked up to the old myer's house, to drop off a key, she could've avoided all of what happened to her and her close friends. I read that Michael just wanted to be left alone. I know it's a way left field theory. Just something I saw/read that was an interesting assumption.
I agree with the first part of the theory: IF Laurie's Father hadn't entrusted her with dropping off the key to The Myers House, for prospective buyers, Michael wouldn't have laid eyes on her and Tommy, and he wouldn't have seen her as the proxy/avatar for his murdered Sister, Judith. However, his goal was to relive his crime of 15 years earlier...Laurie was the perfect final victim for his night of tricks and treats. The trouble was, she didn't go quietly. As she said, while in The Wallace House, "..You'll be sorry..." By the end of that night, in 1978, he truly was...

According to John Carpenter, Laurie was the 1st person he saw, when he had secretly returned to his home. Upon seeing her, he saw yet another 17-year-old girl, who rather resembled his slain Sister, and it immediately set him off on his plan for the night. Also, the song that Laurie sings, is meant to be a kind of unconscious existential "invitation" to Michael. John Carpenter intentionally wrote those lyrics to be the whole motif of the film: Early in the story, Michael first encounters Laurie, with just a door between them...by the last 5 minutes of the story, as per Carpenter's vision, Michael and Laurie finally meet, face-to-face, in literal hand-to-hand combat. "...I would hold you close to me...so close to me...just the two of us..." Though, Carpenter and Hill were just making a simple Horror film...it's filled will a wealth of artistic, Gothic, psychological, and (positive) Feminist elements. Hence, why the film is included in The Library of Congress.

Actually he was hunting her because in the original timeline H2 its revealed that Laurie is his sister...she was given up for adoption and given a different name Laurie Steode but she's apart of the Myers family biologically which they revealed was why he targeted her until the changed that with the 2018 trilogy of blumhouse films where it continues 40 years after this movie and they're not related he just had this thing with the babysitters and she's the one that got away.
Hes always had an attachment to the house but originally she was his sister with the other timelines even the thorn timeline where she died in a car accident so he hunts Jamie who is Laurie's daughter in that timeline.
Fun fact first the original title for the movie was The Babysitter Murders. This comes directly from the audio commentary with John Carpenter from the Blu-ray of the movie. They changed it to Halloween after having a discussion about how there's hardly any horror movies that take place on Halloween. So they just change the name from The Babysitter Murders to Halloween and added Halloween elements to the existing The Babysitter Murders script.
Now John Carpenter was done with Michael Myers after this movie one and done no sequels intended. The movie studio made Halloween 2 about Michael Myers John Carpenter only worked on it for two reasons. One he was under contract to do it second he figured he'd actually get some money since he was hardly paid for the first one. But he absolutely hated working on it to the point he put off as many responsibilities as he could.
Now no spoilers really but technically Michael Myers died a couple times. John Carpenter kills him off at the end of Halloween 2 but the movie studio had the writer and director of Halloween 4 change Halloween 2 ending retconig it or erasing his death. Then they kill him off at the end of Halloween 4 the movie studio once again had the writer and director of Halloween 5 retcon or erase his death from Halloween 4. He was killed off once again at the end of Halloween H2O but once again the movie studio had the writer and director of Halloween resurrection retcon or erase his death from Halloween H2O. Basically he was killed off a couple of times but every time it happens the movie studio has the next people undo it in the next movie. You could incinerate him to nothing but the next movie would have some cockamami bs excuse to why he's alive basically. Then Halloween 6 is basically depending on what version the theatrical version is two movies in one. Because first they made the movie from the script unaltered that's the Producers Cut. But the movie studio scene that there was things at questioned Michael Myers being alive or the only person main character thing. So they told him they had to reshot and remove those scenes thats the theatrical version.
Now Halloween 3 Season of the Witch I have an seen an listen to everything on. The Shout Factory collector's edition of Halloween 3 season of the witch. Once again non spoiler but on the audio commentary only with writer and director Tommy Lee Wallace I repeat only on the audio commentary with writer and director Tommy Lee Wallace only. I have to do that because some people get the audio commentary confused with other bonus features. But on that audio commutary with Tommy Lee Wallace he is asked how the movie got its name. Sort basic answer the movie studio scene and approved a script called Season of the Witch they also seen it had nothing to do with Michael Myers. Because that movie was written as a completely separate movie called Season of the Witch. It was written to have nothing to do with the Halloween movie franchise or Michael Myers from the beginning. Tommy Lee Wallace says he and John Carpenter would have preferred the movie to be just called Season of The Witch. But the movie studio after approving of the script with that name an knowing it had nothing to do with Michael Myers. Told John Carpenter they would not fund a movie called Season of the Witch if they Wanted the movie studio to fund it they would have to call it Halloween 3. So the movie studio seeing a movie script called Season of the Witch an seeing it had nothing to do with Michael Myers. Then after approving said script said they had to change the name and it has to be part of this movie franchise. Even though it has nothing to do with it in any way or no funding and no movie. So John Carpenter and Tommy Lee Wallace reluctantly agreed to calling it Halloween 3 because it was the only way to get it funded and made. But if it was up to John Carpenter and Tommy Lee Wallace it would have been made as advertised as and released as just Season of the Witch.
This information is important going forward because it shows the movie studio interfered and messed things up by changing it. But they only got away with getting Halloween 3 added to the movie Season of The Witch. That's all they even tried to alter the ending of the movie but Tommy Lee Wallace refused to change the ending in the movie studio lost that battle.
So the take away is there is no continuity in the Halloween movie franchise. The movie studio had people altered things in the movie because they didn't like it or they killed off Michael Myers so if they showed he could be killed or whatever they didn't like it they had them change it. In the next movie so as a movie franchise it's a joke because there is zero continuity. Because part 2 ending is retconed or erased in part 4's ending get erased an altered in part 5 and so on and so on for the movies.
Now there is technically a few timelines. Timeline one Halloween one and Halloween 2. Because John Carpenter killed off Michael Myers at the end of Halloween 2. Timeline 2 Halloween, Halloween 2 maybe Halloween 4 Halloween 5 and Halloween 6. Timeline 3 Halloween ,Halloween 2 Maybe Halloween H2O Halloween resurrection. Timeline 4 Halloween, Halloween 2018, Halloween kills and Halloween Ends. Yea right they will just recton or erase that movies ending like every other time someone ended it. Like Halloween 2 , Halloween 4 an Halloween H20. Then Rob Zombies versions I'm not even going to get started on those. All I well say is if you like constant foul language sexual innuendos needless nudity and sex scenes you're in for a treat and over the top violence. And some people consider the original Halloween its own timeline so there's all of the timelines. Bear in mind the movies not mentioned in those timelines are erased from those timelines meaning none of those events happened.
Everything I stated comes from bare bone simple facts anyone watching the movies will see if they have common sense. Along with bonus features when when I stayed what bonus feature along with what version of the movie or copy.

John carpenter said he made Myers to be the actual boogeyman. He said he is a human, but he does have a supernatural edge. It's the reason he appears and disappears so fast. How can you go to hell and not die lol. If Jason can't die then how'd he go to hell. He got sucked in lol. He was dead with head chopped up for a while but tommy had to dig him up and resurrect him lol. Both have interesting starts. Michael probably can beat Jason in part two maybe three cause he's still human. As Michael got into the thorn trilogy he could probably beat Jason four to six. Michael six might be able to beat Jason in six on bit that's when he might not cause he is like a zombie by this point. Michael is cursed by demon PR basically possessed so he's really strong too but that's when I'm not sure especially when he goes to space he's unstoppable in all metal lol. Both parallel each other as their movies go on and they evolve from being human to being unstoppable lol. Michael gets more robotic and zombie like as the movies go on as well as jason. But both in recent movies they go back to original idea lol. In last Friday movie they went back yo Jason being a regular dude in the woods and the new ones go back to Michael being just regular dude like in this one. But is he is the question cause he seems like he is but then he absorbs so much punishment lol especially in new ones. He can't be just human lol. That'd been a funny cool creepy scene if they kept pulling back from the kids then you see Loomis watching the kids at the house then you see the sheriff is watching Loomis watching the kids at the house then you see Michael watching the sheriff watching Loomis watching the kids at the house lol cause Michael had to leave after he killed Annie cause the stolen car was outside the Doyle house when they got there and when Annie dropped off Lindsey but when Laurie goes across the street the car ain't there so he must have went back towards his house but when seen Loomis and them there he left the car and went back lol. In eighties they go into more body count and gore but bad thing is early Friday had this good but as movies went on plus other movies were doing same thing the rating and companies started cutting all or lot of that out so that messed up the later Friday movies with the kills lol.
