So we are back! This time we have another timeline branch in the Michael Myers Story. This is HALLOWEEN H2O 20 YEARS LATER. Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former baby sitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it's not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. As Halloween descends upon Laurie's peaceful community, a feeling of dread weighs upon her -- with good reason. This isn’t my favorite but it was good to see Laurie Strode back in the mix and even having some really nasty kills.

Fun fact: Halloween H20 and Scream 3 filmed in the same location. It's called the Paramour Estate. In Halloween H20 they filmed it as a private school and in Scream 3 it was the old Hollywood Mansion. I remember watching both movies and noticing a lot of similarities in the exterior.

This movie exists thanks to the fact that Scream rejuvenated horror movies. When Scream came out in 1996 and was successful, everyone in Hollywood that usually avoided horror movies started doing horror movies. Horror was big again and it started a slasher boom. It brought back Michael in H20, Chucky in Bride Of Chucky, etc. The music in H20 is directly from Scream

This is not entirely true. Yes..Scream made slasher movies popular again and While the production and post-production of Halloween H20 were heavily pointed towards the same younger audience (people act like The original Halloween movies or any slasher movie was aimed towards younger and gullible audiences Who usually are The ones Who pay to see these movies) plans for a 20th anniversary or a 7th film were Always on the table.
Another thing,Halloween H20 did have its own soundtrack made by John ottman,but miramax replaced It almost all of It,not just with Scream but also score from Mimic.

Loved this movie.
This is one of my favorite Halloween sequels. I def hear the complaints about the lack of music & the mask, however, I feel like the Halloween theme has always been kinda sparingly sprinkled throughout the film & mainly used during the most suspenseful scenes. Also…with regard to the mask, it wasn’t as good 1 & 2 but imo it was *far* better than the masks in 4 & 5 for sure lol. There was also about the same amount of survivors in Halloween 6 as there was in this one lol
One of the biggest complaints I hear from people is that this movie feels more like a *Scream* movie than a Halloween movie, which I can kinda see

It's definitely heavily Scream inspired, but nearly all the late 90s slashers are. There wasn't a ton of creativity/variation in the slasher genre post-Scream. H20 would've been better if they used the iconic John Carpenter music instead of the Scream score, since Scream's score is kinda iconic too

Idk, I feel like this one does a decent job in explaining lori absence in 4/5 and picks up from that story point over what happened in the first and second movie as a whole

This Halloween was pretty good 2 me..I liked the mask from this Halloween..it was smoother..the strength that Michael used in this 1 was nice too, my favorite part in this movie was how Mike let himself down from the Ceiling ✊😲..that was clean.
This is lne of first Halloween movies i really enjoyed it. Jamie Lee back givin the screams that made her family famous. The old lady talking to her is her actual mother and origianl scream queen from psycho movie. The ones prior were okay (not season of witch) but I have watched this so many times and loved the kills had me on edge my seat when was younger
That lady with the cigarette who had the photo of Dr. Loomis was the same lady from HALLOWEEN 2 who told Dr. Loomis there's a Marshall waiting for him outside. She's also in HALLOWEEN KILLS and says,,, HEY MICHAEL, THIS IS FOR SAM LOOMIS before Michael kills her.
I loved this movie but I couldn't take his new mask seriously because it reminded me of it looking like actor Ted Raimi to me. And it was cool to see Josh Hartnett play Jamie Lee Curtis's(Laurie Strode) son. I liked him in The Faculty(1998) and Sin City(2005) even though he didn't do much in that movie. This is one of my favorite movies out of the Halloween franchise and I loved Halloween Resurrection as well.

Its funny i can imagine when Michael gets hit by the van and spasms I could hear Mr burns in Simpson's doing his uttering sound or whatever especially when they like who shot Mr burns and showed all these different people doing it and each time he makes the same sound lol.
The last good Halloween film 😌 It had a throwback feeling to the first 2 films. Skipping 456. Pretty much what Halloween 3 should have been.
Where are they at to have all that food? They're in the school campus. They never went on that trip when they showed all those school buses leaving. They stayed behind just to hang out with each other. Laurie is there too and thinks the kids all went on that trip.
Y’all ain’t tripping about the mask in this movie 😂 the reason why it looks different so much is because they used 4 different masks while filming this. The mask that looks some what decent is the one they used throughout the movie in all the close ups mostly
Technically it wasn’t the end of you think about I mean they said that Jamie’s mom Laurie died and in H2O she faked her death and disappeared to escape Michael. So basically you could say that while Michael was after Jamie Laurie was in hiding and had started a new family.
It just occured to me that Michael Myers is Jamie Lee Curtis' character's brother, when her son asked "Who was that? and she says, "That's my brother." I tend to forget that.

Snoopers Gonna Snoop clearly/obviously the Rentacop/Security Guard in this Film has absolutely no idea what he's actually up against/dealing with/is completely clueless of what The Shape is capable of otherwise he probably wouldn't have stopped poor poor Laurie Strode from delivering the finishing blow!

2018 is the best sequel in my opinion
This should have been the last of the series. They could have started a new in the 2000s with a movie quality episodic series that always stayed scary etc. No Halloween resurrection or rob zombie versions. Oh well. I'll just continue ignoring those.

They used a few of the same music sound effects from Scream 1. The scene when Michael is chasing Sean and his girlfriend through the academy and the scene in Scream 1 when Tatum is in the garage trying to fight off Ghostface both scenes on both movies play the same exact music and sound effects
Made no sense that he’s not burned and his eyes aren’t blind. That’s why picking up after Halloween II doesn’t work. Halloween II was meant to be the end of the Myers storyline.
How come NO ONE. thinks that it's dumb that Mike was able to drive from Illinois to California? What did he do learn to drive in the asylum, how to read a map, kill everyone at the gas stations along the way?!?!
But its perfectly acceptable that he survives gunshots, fires, etc

The beginning of the movie stated Laurie had "died" in a car accident.
Loomis faked Laurie's death and snuck her out of the state with a new name in fear of Michael coming back.

Snoops Gonna Snoop now that both of y'all love birds checked out Halloween H20 (Halloween 20 Years Later) here's bit a unofficial sequel 2 this film I highly recommend checking out sometime (The Haddonfield Nightmare: A Halloween Fan Film) which somewhat completely ignores the events of Halloween Resurrection!
Glad you noticed the mask changing constantly throughout. This film had major behind the scenes issues regarding the mask. A total of 4 different masks show up throughout, including that terrible CGI one when Charlie comes face to face with Michael. None of them really work.
This movie had the perfect ending but unfortunately gets ruined by Resurrection.

For me, H20 is the official end to the story. Resurrection is a stupid What-If (since this franchise loves to branch timelines).
It's Halloween: H-twenty not H20, because it was released 20 years after the original originally there was going to be a scene where Laurie found out Michael had killed her daughter Jamie, but it was written out when they decided to ignore parts 4-6.
Honestly.. it wouldn't be H2(OH)... it would be H2(ZERO)... It is a number correct... not a letter LOL
It's a well made movie but it just doesn't have the ATMOSPHERE of the original Thorn timeline (music, setting, etc.). It feels more like a 90s SCREAM slasher sequel than a true Halloween movie. That said, it's leagues better than anything David Gordon Green and Blumhouse crapped out.

I had so many issues with this H20 Halloween. For starters, it doesnt feel like a Michael Myers film. It feels like its from the SCREAM franchise. Why is that? Probably because instead of using the famous John Carpenter theme that we know and love from Halloween movies, the director Kevin Williamson ( who also directed SCREAM) decided to use the score from SCREAM. yes, thats right.... he chose ghostface score to play the entire movie, didnt play the halloween score til it rolled the credits. Secondly, of all the Michael Myers, his awkward stance and that awful mask and then the music from SCREAM, ive never liked this addition. But i still have a copy in my collection.

This movie is actually a Fun watch, very 90s nostalgic feel. This was way better than that Crap movie after this “Halloween Resurrection” that’s a straight up TUBI movie. Don’t be distracted by the cast, It’s terrible!

I would suggest not reacting to Halloween Resurrection, because it’s one of the few worst Halloween movies of the entire franchise. The storyline doesn’t make sense, the plot doesn’t relate to H20, the characters aren’t great and Michael isn’t as scary and intimidating as he should be. So please don’t watch Resurrection, trust me, it ain’t worth it.

It was, They had a mask problem lol, They use the big eye sockets Stan Winston mask, The halloween 6 mask, and cgi mask, They even put the cgi mask on the Stan Winston mask lol, And it was looking weird lol, The scene with the garbage disposal sink, They should've kept the Stan Winston mask, It just you can see Michael myers eyes, But mostly people saying they should've used the halloween 6 mask through the whole movie
