My absolute favorite scene in the book is that of Simon with his father after the snowball fight. It's such a beautiful interaction that makes this series so very special.
Thank you for these wonderful stories and brilliant characters weaving such amazing tales of growth and love. They have brought hope & beauty into my life during these murky dark times. I’d love to hear Teague’s story next and James’ in the future. ❤
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 absolutely brilliant series. I loved one book more than the next, I can’t get enough of the rich and complex characters! Even Jane Austin would have been inspired by your novels. Please write more…
I cannot tell you how much your stories help me through some long work days! Very wonderful writing, special characters, and so much heart into each tale. I am so very grateful you have shared these with us!
I finally finished this series. After every book I thought "this is my favourite one" as the stories kept getting better and better. I couldn't believe I was even happier for Simon and Isleen than I was for Josie and Andrew. So beautiful!
This book moved me to tears several times. Thank you Sally for sharing your God given gift of well chosen words and sharing stories from your wonderful imagination. Tears can be most cleansing and needed. Bless you as you continue to share your gift. This has been a delightful series with well developed characters. ❤
I read this book and it was beautiful, the imagery you create of the snowy weather is amazing, I feel like I am there. Sally never fails to put coziness I'm wintery stories. I loved the themes and the protagonists as they were not bland, they had internal conflict. Simon is now one of my favourite, and isleen as well
Simon and Isleen were an absolutely joy to write. I'm actually re-reading this book myself right now. It's been long enough, I can enjoy it as though it isn't mine. :-) And I'm getting ready to write Teague's book...
Thank you so much Sally for allowing the world free access to your beautiful books. I loved this series. I especially loved the Duke and Duchess, such a great example to us all and made me wish I had such balanced parents. I see that you are looking at a story about Teague and you mentioned about the other suitor mentioned in the last book on Josephine. I wonder about Stirling though. Does he warrant a love story or does he give his whole life to service? Thank you again 💖
Sterling is TOTALLY getting his own book. ;-) Eventually. I have to get Teague and Roman their books first! And I'm glad you're enjoying what we already have available!
How do you keep making each book in this series even more amazing? I love this ducal family and their friends. I'm also a huge fan of your narrator! I loved her lilting singing voice.
Oh my goodness, I'm 8 minutes into this book and already had such a laugh about the water closet. 😂 I imagine this will be another excellent book and the narrator does an excellent job with the accents in every book. I so love this series just as much as the Inglewood series. Both have stirred the water in my eyes. ❤
My family back as far as I know were all from the British Isles, all very Protestant, faithful to the Royal Family and quite steeped in tradition. Your stories, although fictional have captured the essence of my grand and great grandparents. I'm thoroughly enjoying all your works, including the western series.
Oh what a beautiful ending to a beautiful series. Thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and loved the Christmas time, snow fun and Irish essence of this love story. Thanks so much Author💞 and definitely applauding the narrator for her Irish accent 👏👏. I think I'd like Sturling to have a story after all he has done for the family.😉
This story is exactly what I needed to be calm at this time. I’m telling everyone about such lovely stories. I listened to it all day, long while going about my daily rounds . Thank you for such a sweet medley of books, and stories of a more gentle time.♥️
Thank you so much for the series, I am a fanatic for regency romance. No matter which comes next in the series I know it would be amazing. Keep doing what you are doing and thank you for uploading
Yes, there will. I don't have a release date for it yet, because I have a few other projects going at the moment. But it's all planned out in my head at least.
Sally i truly loved this story and all the wonderful characters. I love the words you write and i am amazed at how the narrator effortlessly switches Irish to gentile English. Thank you so much.
This series is EVERYTHING 🙌 I've been slowly making my way through it, so I dont run out of books 😅 I hope it goes on forever haha I've been looking forward to Simon's story since book 1 as well, and I really loved seeing into his mind, and enjoyed his story greatly! I'm super excited for Teague's but I'll probably wait a few months to pace myself 😂 maybe at least until we get the announcement for the next book in the series, hopefully?
This is my 3rd or 4th time thru the entire series...and its been so enjoyable, good and fun and laughable at times as the first listening... cant wait for the future books in the series. Great author great narrator ❤
You are welcome. The books are very enjoyable with how much life and research you put into your books. And it's wonderful that you work with the same narrator throughout this series. Love how she brings the characters to life and the accents.
I was super excited to see this, right when I needed an audiobook. I saw that it was the fourth in the series and for a moment I wondered if I had missed one, but I hadn’t! Thanks so much, this was delightful.
So glad you enjoyed it! I'll have a shorter, novella-length story up in April that has the story of how the Duke and Duchess married...and THEN fell in love. ;-)
I Hope you subscribe because it’s the best way to keep up with new releases. I’ve listen to each one available on UA-cam twice. Sally is my favorite regency author. There are a couple more that I’ve listen too, but for me Sally is the best.
Another great story!!! I love the narration, the Irish accent is my favorite❤ I think my favorite scene was the motherly way the duchess talked to Isleen in the ballroom. I listened to a Duchess for the Duke before this one. I think since I did, I could feel the duchesses’ compassion and understanding toward Isleen in a more meaningful way. Well that scene does compete with Simon singing an Irish drinking song😂
They were both great but I have one gripe, I don't like when narrators sing or giggle or whatever the person is doing, reading it is enough in my opinion. I skipped past that part, but in doing so missed some, I am sure.
This was such a wonderful series with every epilogue beginning the next story that I could not wait in between. I will now go back to the Duke and Duchess beginning again. Simon needed a fiery but gracious woman who would draw him out with blunt honesty. Isleen is a wonderful character and the voice narration is perfect. Given how you keep mentioning how handsome, strong and capable Stirling (the guard) is are we likely to hear his love story? And please do not forget Lord Hartwell and Linus. Or perhaps Josephine’s love story plot with the new vicar? Truly this series could go on forever. The Duke still has three children at home.
The Duke also has numerous relatives, as does the duchess. Lady Ivy and the Irishman should be up by the end of the month, and that one features Teague Frost (Isleen's brother) and a heroine you haven't met yet. Sterling's story is currently being written!
So love Sally Britton's stories. Her protagonists are very much people of their era, thinking, feeling and acting according to their own time and status. There's always a twinkle in their eyes and a fine sense of humour. Thank you so much for uploading your books, Sally. They are a pleasure and so very different from most other novels of this genre. I wonder if there is an audio version of the very first book in this series, the story of the duke and duchess? Best wishes from Bavaria, you have me curious about the stories to come 🙋🏻♀
The audio version for the duke and duchess's story is being produced RIGHT NOW. :-) I can't wait to share it with everyone. I'm hoping to have it up the second week of April! Thank you for enjoying my stories! (Don't forget to subscribe to the channel, so you won't miss the new ones when they come out!)
@@AuthorSallyBritton Oh, that's wonderful news, thank you for responding and a BIG thank you for sharing your books with us. So looking forward to this audiobook. I subscribed only a few minutes into the Inglewood series a little while ago. Your books are a delight. I'm in a sickbed and have been for almost 3 years now - that makes for long hours reading or listening to good stories. You may not be aware of it but you bring some colour and joy in some people's endless days and nights. ❤❤❤
Yes! Another great aspect of her writing is that the characters are believable and fit in their time. There are certainly struggles I might have had if I lived during that time period, but putting a modern mindset and agenda on characters reduces the charm of the era, and such stories are not as enjoyable. So thankful Sally doesn’t do this.
@@gwendoan6859 Exactly my way of thinking. Sally Britton understands the time and the people she's writing about. I'm enjoying listening to her stories a lot.
Aww with love from Thailand! Didn’t expect to hear of the vase from siam haaa. Love all the books in this series ❤ thank you so much for sharing them in the audio book form!!!!
I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I toured the castle I based my storybook castle on, and they had gifts and items from diplomats all over the world. They were quite beautiful. The English ambassador to Siam/Now-Thailand was a good friend to the Duke of Retford who owns the castle. I'm glad you liked that detail!
I frkn LOVE this book and I love Simon! 🥹❤️ Edit: 1. Please tell us that you're already writing the next book for this series? 2. Maybe another story will be that of Sterling finding love within the castle walls? I feel like he's mentioned too often to remain only a side character, but idk, I'm not the literary creative, lol. Thank you!
Book 5 will be out in audio at the end of summer - the paperback and ebook are out at the end of this month! Lady Ivy and the Irishman! As for Sterling.... I'm keeping my secrets. Lol.
I have loved this series! Exactly what my days need right now, a lighthearted escape. I really hope we will get to see the younger sisters grown up with their own story! And I wondered if we would see Simon’s cousin, Thomas again.
Thank you for another terrific story. When I started to listen to it it had only been up for one minute. I was so excited. So happy Simon finally got his turn at happiness.❤️❤️❤️👏
One thing I love 💕 about Sally Britton is that she writes such delightful characters, and it is enjoyable to read their stories and love them as well. So often one has to overlook traits in a hero/heroine that make them irritating, cruel, or lacking in good judgment, which inevitably detracts from a story overall. Several parts of this story are sweet, and while I definitely love the snowball fight scene, my favorite scene actually occurs between Simon and his father afterward. Absolutely loved it!!! I wish the abduction scene was a little more drawn out, and that Isleen had a bit more detailed of a moment with the duke afterward, but it was an exciting element. As usual, the heartwarming ending never fails to bring a smile to my face and heart! I hope that this series will continue with other wonderful characters we have met along the way! 🙏🏻 Thank you for posting these audiobooks! I love to hear the stories come to life with the accents, etc. 😊
First of all thank you for this beautiful book! I love your stories so much and am always waiting for the next one!! I think it would be cool to see more of James and Fiona, the way they were friends and loved fighting and playing together was such a nice addition and very cute!
I have just finished listening to this book 4 for the second time, and I want to say to you Sally that every time I read one of your stories I 🤔 think that’s my favorite then I listen to another and that’s my favorite. Considering I have listened to every available book of yours on UA-cam at least twice, and each one has been my favorite, I must admit to your being my favorite Regency clean author. With Jennie Goutet as my second favorite. There are others I’ve enjoyed but none satisfy my expectations for what I call a good book. When will we be able to listen to a new book on UA-cam. Sincerely yours, Irene Scott BC, Canada
Irene, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm trying to get a novella and Western novel up this week. Having some technical difficulties on my end, though. :-) Make sure you subscribe to the channel or hit the little bell button so you'll be notified when it happens!
Tbh.. 😏 I'd love to hear a story about the guard Sterling haha he's so serious but caring in my mind I think it'd be fun to watch him slowly fall in love and have mixed feels about listening to his heart while doing his duty 😊
Oh, what an intriguing suggestion! Sterling is indeed a character with layers waiting to be uncovered - serious yet caring, as you've perfectly noted. The idea of exploring his journey, especially one where duty and heart are in conflict, is definitely compelling. Let's just say, you might want to stay tuned. The prospect of bringing Sterling's story to life is something that's been on my mind, and your enthusiasm only adds to that excitement. Thank you for sharing your thoughts - they might just turn into a reality sooner than you think! 😊🔍💖
Their story has been trapped! Behind a promotion. But, it will be available as an audiobook and as an ebook in April! Then everyone will be able to have access to it. You can subscribe to my channel here, so you don't miss the audiobook upload. Or, you can follow me on Amazon.com so you will know when the book is released.
A new lady authoress, huh? I would love to read/hear that story, especially chapter 6. I love how you brought Josephine's book in. 🙃 Who to write about next? Hmmm 🤔 Perhaps someone to link Inglewood and Clairvoir together... I did like Simon's cousin. Maybe to a cousin of the count or a cousin of Miss Everly's love? I love the accents. 😉No. I leave that decision in your more-than- capable hands and look forward to it. Thank you again for sharing your gift.😊
Do you think there will be a scene of “defending the castle” in this book? I was hoping for one in Sir Andrew and the Authoress. I really like when characters realize they’re in Love during times of peril.
Nope. No big times of peril in this series, because it's meant to be low-stress/low-anxiety. A gentle read. Though there might be a run-in toward the end of the book that interests you...
@@AuthorSallyBritton I’m sure I’m still going to like it. The scene from Her Unsuitable Match where Myles goes to retrieve her horse will always be a favorite. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Have a Wonderful Day.

Yay! I can't wait to get the next novel finished for you to enjoy.
First of all thank you for this beautiful book! I love your stories so much and am always waiting for the next one!! I think it would be cool to see more of James and Fiona, the way they were friends and loved fighting and playing together was such a nice addition and very cute!
Their little bickering bits were so fun to write!
I very much liked the story, thank you so much ❣🌻
You're welcome 😊
I swear the narrator THOROUGHLY enjoyed herself!!!
I really think she does! I love her work so much. I'm grateful she works with me.
@@AuthorSallyBritton She brings your work to life with such joy!
I wish you’d write about James and Elizabeth and their sidter
I will one day!
Really beautiful. So happy Simon found his life partner.
Me too, very much so. Isleen is wonderful for him.
Extremely ammazing...!
Wow, such a kind comment! What made it amazing to you?
love the oblique reference to P&P!
It's almost a requirement that Jane Austen is referred to in some way in my books!
Good story. Thank you
Thanks for listening!
Absolutely lovely! I hope Thomas is next 🩷
I actually have plans for Thomas to appear in his own book in another series. ❤️
Happy ☘️ St Patrick’s Day to you all
La Fheile Padraig ☘️
Thank you
Welcome!
@AuthorSallyBritton omg!! I'll definitely be here for it waiting as patiently as possible haha
Sterling is exactly who I want to hear about, even if it is just a side story.
Bravo,❤
Thank you for uploading!
Thank you for being patient! 🥰
I loved it! Can we read the duke and duchess romance story?
Aw, thank you for your kind words. :-) Teague's story is next for Clairvoir. ;-)
I'll look forward to it as to them all. 😊
She needs ginger to settle her stomach? Could there be a wee one on the way? 😃😃😃
Please don’t stop
Never! ❤️
