I love the series books and was so happy that the characters, Ellen and Thomas, whom I have come to love in book one get to share in Marianne's continued story, who surely deserved a story of her own after having been so gracious and generous in her contacts toward Ellen, the once wallflower. Thank you Catherine for the continuance and I look forward to there possibly being another book with such a great story to enjoy.
Oh, I thoroughly enjoyed and laughed right loud at the sight of the swan attacking Arthur in divine retribution. 😂❤

I just ended a day of work listening to Book 1 and the first hour of this one, decided to look for it in the kindle unlimited to give the support I can aford, because I simply LOVE that you are posting your own books here and, how I'm happy I found them. Will probably read them all since my listening while working don't permit me the full attention your books deserve.

3:52:42 I'll lose my place this time because hubby rescued SEVEN feral cats... Well, a furry blender mama and six "adorable but capable", flea ridden kittens.
I'm giving them all flea baths and treating infections.
They do think I'm trying to kill them... Three are groomed, flea free and sleeping in a squirrel cage, mama is by herself in a parrot cage, one tom kitten is balled up in a crate corner and ready to defend himself to the death and one is loose and wreaking havoc amongst the three cages.
I haven't checked to see if that one is a male or a female, however, it is a calico so I'm going to go ahead and assume it's a female.
I'm not lucky enough to come across a male calico.
I can't catch her anyway lol.
Edit: all of this hullabaloo is taking place on my front porch.

@@cathbilsonAfter I posted my "bookmark" (ahem), a neighbor brought back a cockerel and two pullets I'd given him ( Indio Gigantica, Maylay chicks... An extremely rare and valuable landrace breed of chicken. They're just under three feet tall when grown), because he's finding he's not experienced enough to handle a breed like that.
(To be fair, they're referred to as "baby velociraptors" by those if us who keep them. They're not for the soft willed or faint hearted... They kill hawks lol.)
So today was seven cats, reintroduce and keep six Maylay from killing each other, got threatened by my cow (she's about to calve and she's threatening me with her horns...another country heard from) and feed hubby.
He got chicken salad sandwiches for supper... He's the one who threw a wrench in the works!
The stories are lovely to listen to 🙂 One request though - pls do not make your voice too gruff to portray male voices...becomes a bit jarring when listening through headphones

@@rimasappington6217 It was the attitude at the time. If you read Austen and the Brontes - who were of course writing contemporary romance in their day - it comes across clear as day.
This ending made me so happy. I giggled through the ballroom scene. You have a wonderful way of expressing what we readers are thinking, though your characters. I know I was cheering at the end!

I hope so! I was definitely aiming for something of a Mr Darcy vibe... he starts off a bit off a butthead but is quickly shown the error of his ways!

The books and narration were excellent. Thank you. I have listened to all 3 but out of sequence. I loved the vivid description of the places in Italy in Diana's story. I feel I need to listen to Helen's story again, just because it was where it all began. I love stories and characters that stick with me. This series is definitely among my favorites

It's wonderful that direct communication ends the tribulations. Next, of course, will it be Diana? Her father needs another animal to attack him, I hope it happens. I love your narration, very well done 🎉
I have written and published Diana's book but unfortunately not found time to record it yet - too busy narrating for other authors right now! Hopefully later this year. No more animal attacks for Arthur though, the swan really did teach him the error of his ways.
I had really enjoyed 'An Earl for Ellen' and 40 minutes into this I find Diana and Clarissa being really sweet, so I'm guessing the next two books would be 'A Duke for Diana' and 'A Count for Clarissa'?😋 At least I hope so!
