It’s not selfish & self-centered to focus on yourself, it’s healing. In this video, we’ll talk about the importance of focusing on yourself and how you can begin to do so.

Self-love is the beginning and ending of your journey through life. Now that I am in the last quarter of my life, I have learned that it is not about things, but relationships. And relationship #1 is with yourself. Loving and appreciating yourself is where happiness lies, regardless of what the rest of your life looks like. As decades pass, your passions and circumstances will change. The one constant is yourself: me, myself, and I. If you love yourself, you will be able to fully embrace the journey.

Do you have any tips on how to do this? I just turned 33 and feel like I don’t have my life together at all. I noticed I am very self critical and harsh on myself a lot of the time
Hands down, my 30s were the toughest decade. Still trying to get on a proper job track (living hand to mouth) and relationships going sideways. Things settled down in my 40s. For me, a major event was that I got married. My life became centered and I had time to focus on myself (as well as my life with my wife). Happiness and contentment followed. Looking back, I would have tried to be more focused in my 30s instead of just coasting. I would have tried to devise a plan (financial, personal, etc...). Back then the Internet was in its infancy so no DYI videos on UA-cam. If I had one piece of advice, it is to not let life overwhelm you. Step back and look objectively at your life. Good, bad, and ugly. Then try to make positive steps each day. Stack them on top of each other. Eventually, you will find you are out of the ditch and back up on the road. Also, remember, you are not alone. Everyone struggles at some point in their life. @@sudesso
My bf just broke up with me he was the center of my world. I couldn't focus on anything but him. Now he's gone and I'm trying to not worry what he is doing and if he will come back or not.
They always come back :) but they only do when ur happy and focusing on urslef
Dear when u fully focus on yourself and love yourself everyone will focus on u and love u. Just live your best life and put yourself First
Nice work. Focusing on yourself is an essential part of self-care and self-love. When you focus on yourself you spend time on self-improvement, which helps increase self-esteem, self-confidence and positive thinking as you work on achieving your goals. There is no need to compete with or compare yourself to others, only compete with yourself so that you can become the best version of yourself with improved physical health and mental health for overall wellness.

How do you stop comparing your looks to other women and always feeling less than? That’s my issue. I don’t really compare my lifestyle, just beauty. It’s stupid I know but I always feel inferior and really it shouldn’t matter… but it drives me insane and makes me depressed. I just want to love my own beauty
i would ask yourself how you can feel better about your own beauty? what makes you feel beautiful? and do more of that. i know that for me, the only time im comparing myself to other woman is when im feeling insecure about myself. so that’s a signal to me to focus on feeling more confident in my own skin - getting my nails done, doing my makeup & hair, dressing up cute, going to the gym. i have a video on building confidence within yourself if you want to watch that one! sending you love 🫶🏼

i’m gonna be very transparent here and say i’m struggling with terrible depression due to not being able to be my authentic self in society and feeling like i’ve lost my purpose. i want to focus on myself and be the best version of myself that i can but i don’t know how. i’ve been working on myself since 2023 and my depression has gotten so bad that all i can talk about to others is what’s bothering me. i feel like the only way i can stop this is by distancing myself from everyone, but i’ve always been so people dependent. i feel lost and out of hope. maybe things will get better, i don’t know. maybe i’ll give up.. but i want better for myself than this pain. i love myself enough to do that for me.
wow while I was reading this I literally took a double take because for a minute, I thought I had written it. I totally relate. It's a lonely and long journey. I wish you experience greater levels of happiness and peace that make up for all the pain you've felt so far.
Your soul is crying out for permission to be itself... you want to be you. I'm sure you've heard all the advice but I really just want to share that some major things that are currently helping out of the similar situation you described. One is being so insanely frustrated with myself and everything, and acting as myself everyday. I talk, eat, dress like I want. I write, I publish, I cry, I speak, i do the things that make me happy without caring about how it looks to others. If something does not make me feel good I stand up to it or cut it off immediately. So far, that approach has led me to experiencing some very raw emotions of anger, sadness, loneliness but I've decided that I'm going to finally give my soul a chance to have a voice and take back the years depression has robbed.
I've been extremely codependent in the past as well. It got so bad that I would use other people's lives to distract myself from mine. So I would always be there for everyone, and offer advice to everyone, and listen to everyone. The thing is I noticed that no one and I mean no one was doing the same for me. So on nights when i only felt despair... no matter how much I reached out, no one responded. That broke me. I decided to confront my feelings and I realized the ugly truth... I was using others as a band aid for my issues. I wanted to constantly be there for them not necessarily for their sake but for mine... how selfish. I'm not saying you have a similar motive. But dig deep to find out why you are people dependent and yes, you have to be away from everyone for a while to find out.
Now I reserve my greatness by not sharing it with people who only take, take and take. I am giving to myself.
New beginning I had a very selfless life from working in ER, Education, Security, Sales the amount of stress and compassion fatigue is real. Self love universe come my way time to cash in

I realize how I tend to keep a lid on my emotions especially sort of joy, and happiness, coz for me, it is a little bit scary to acknowledge about kind of these feelings. I'm so overthinker so I can't help thinking "I will face to kind of hopeless situation or I will feel desperation again?" but after watching this video now I can see what I consider about is a waste of time. I would like to embrace and accept my feelings exactly what it is, and I will focus on my life goal and myself

Thanks for this. It took me forever to stop with worryimg about what others are thinking. Worrying about what others are doing is slightly harder especially when I don't have many friends while being single. I am tired on wondering on what everyone is doing and create healthy friendships and relationships too.

I think it's also important that when we feel jealous of someone, aside it from being an indication of our desire, it would be helpful to examine the desire so it might be worthwhile to see if it's our genuine desire or something we've been programmed to desire. Sometimes there are things we desire that we cannot attain or change and maybe it's best to accept or play the hell out of the cards we've been dealt. What do you think?

& YES i love that you said this!! i completely agree. i think sometimes our desires can come from our ego's because we subconsciously want to prove something to someone or it's a societal norm or whatever other reason is being fueled by our ego. but yeah i think it's so important to tune in with yourself and ask yourself where this desire is coming from. is it aligned with my true soul's desire or is it coming from my ego?

Thanks Natalia 🙏🏻 Any recommendations regarding social media? I am trying to break my neural pathway of my ex. Deleted all pictures, text conversations and her phone number. The hardest part is not checking her IG profile / story and redirect my thoughts each time i feel tempted.
Of course! I would say to block/mute her to completely cut out all triggers. It doesn’t have to be for forever, just until you feel like it’s not consuming your mind anymore / you’re not constantly checking.
