Lovely video about a wonderful composer who deserves much more attention. And particularly gratifying to see a man championing a female composer. Thank you!

Thank you for posting this! Amazingly talented Fanny Mendelssohn erased from HIS(!!)story just like so many other exceptionally gifted women artists. Also, it’s incredible that you, a man, have posted this. It is very rare to find men who are sensitive to women discrimination and oppression. We need more men like you! Ps. Could you make a video about Anna Mozart, another great artist erased from history? As you know,, she was Amaedeus Mozart’s older sister, a musician as well, regarded by many as equally talented, if not the real genius in the family. By the 1760s she was touring Europe as a pianist. Leopold, her father, ended her touring when Anna was eligible to marry at the age of 18, though both father and brother were in awe of Anna’s talent. According to the Smithsonian, her father Leopold wrote in a letter in 1764: “My little girl plays the most difficult works which we have... with incredible precision and so excellently”. As for Amedeus, he once wrote to his sister saying that he was 'in awe that you can compose so well, in a word, the song you wrote is beautiful.' C I a o from Italy 🦋

Thank you Gu Wei for sharing your insights of music, the composers and how pieces are broken up/down by you easily for myself to understand and enjoy. Though I have been listening to classical music through out my life, I am not actually able to read or play an instrument but enjoy the of joy - love - rage - deep foreboding - ethreal etc. passages of what I am listening to.
