    I must say, I do have to keep a tidy van but still have everything to hand mate, plus if a customer has a look in. Hot water lets you work quicker and less chemicals all year round and a bonus in the winter. Power reel is a must for me as well, again more efficient = more money and less fatigue as I’m getting older now. Be lucky Ash 👍

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks. Yes, it’s good to be organised and work efficiently. When cleaning by the traditional method I would rather have a bucket of hot water rather than cold. I would love to add hot water to this system, but would the benefit outway the cost? An electric reel seems a much more viable upgrade at the moment.😃👍🏼

    • @rizla0940
      @rizla0940 4 роки тому

      To be honest I went from traditional for over 20 years to WFP with all the gear because didn’t like the idea reeling hose in by hand on the smaller jobs and hot water for winter. If had to do bit by bit power reel would be first ✅ have good weekend mate

    I’ve a 650 litre 2 man system and in the summer we’ll use over 1000 litres easily . I’m in a soft water area so it’s easy filled at lunch of a customers tap and I’m able to work the rest of the day . 650 litres without re filling I’d be out of water by 2 or half 2 probably

Also I'm thinking of using a 1 foot hose with a on/off valve between my reel and pole connection to conserve water, do you think this would be ok, or would it cause problems. There are pros and cons to each. If I had an upright tank the reels would still have take up quite a bit of space. Good point. The payload of the vehicle is about 1ton. There is a bit of weight in the fit out before you even add the water. 650 is not enough for 2 operators unless you can pop home and top up from a static tank.

      Yes, thanks for your advice before. I want to do a video to talk about this more. 800litres would have been better. But I don’t work with two people all the time and I have so many other external services too. So I usually try and mix it up with other jobs during the day so it’s not just windows. So the 600 works well for me. But yeah, you are right, 800 would be ideal for two man all day every day.😃👍🏼

      Love the design of your van, can I ask how much it cost you? I got a blade going across mine with bubbles behind even though I use pole system haha

    I myself would rather a much larger van such as the larger vw or m.a.n. vans.

      Ian Purcell Sure. It depends on the type of work you are doing I suppose. I do a lot of domestic so I was keen on a short wheel base van for getting around the country lanes and onto right domestic driveways etc.😃👍🏼

      @@aemackintosh Each to there own obviously. I myself would rather be able to walk down the centre of the van with the equipment on either side.But that's just me,doesn't mean it's any better or worse than your van layout. Tidy worker tidy work.

    You need to run 2 vans imo.. one for Trad and smallish jobs and one maybe just just for WFP or Just pressure washing etc .....all is tax deductable as self employed . plus the van you are not using could be used for advertising on days in you live in a suitable area where people can see it ....

    with respect to your content i want to tell you that background music is a little annoying. Since English is not my first language i am also struggling to understand what you are saying. I am fully focused on what you are saying about the setup here but your voice was low compare to the music. Thanks for the video anyway.

      Thanks for the feedback. I’m very passionate about music and try to include as much variety as I can. The type of device you are watching it on may make a difference to the sound quality.😃👍🏼
