I’m a big fan of the “sharpslinger” build, depending on the map. It’s a great setup for Spillway. Unlike the sharpshooter, you can get rack ‘em up and increased reload speed, so it’s highly effective from those raised positions; Centerfire for range, and Deagles or S&W .500s for if you get bum-rushed. Perk bonuses I go Steady or QuickDraw (depending on which you like, I go QuickDraw), Rack ‘Em, Speed, Skull, Fanfire.
I saw in another one of your videos where Sharpshooter is the least popular class; definitely true! That “Sharpslinger” build is what has me laying off Sharpshooter so much. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing as the Sharpshooter, but the extra mobility of Gunslinger with on-perk access to a lot of the same weapons as the Sharpshooter, plus the perk level bonuses can stack for a better combo, it feels like Sharpshooter is severely limited. If they would cross-perk the HRG incision with Sharpshooter, though...
Beside the the difficulty of needing to get constant headshots, what also makes this class one of the hardest to learn is that Gunslinger's guns' high rate of fire makes recoil worse for Gunslingers than Sharpshooter's guns for Sharpshooters. The high rate of fire plus high recoil also means newer Gunslingers are more likely to miss their shots and are more likely run out of ammo mid-round than any other classes. This is especially bad for those who need to rely on bodyshots for dps. Your second bodyshot Gunslinger build may still work fine for solo, but in team games wear Zeds have more HP while total ammo remains the same, this build will struggle. I find Whirlwind of Lead more useful for newer Gunslingers because they can waste a lot of ammo with the faster fire rate of Fanfire if they cannot control the recoil and miss their shots. Also, for Gunslingers or Sharpshooters in team games, if a large Zed or a boss is aggroed to someone else and is facing away from you, should they just do bodyshots to them from shooting their sides or backs, or should they take their time to get in front of the large Zed or boss and try to keep getting headshots?
Gunslinger is one of the harder classes to play well, and I do admit that the second build is more for new players that can't aim that great. For Sharpshooter and Gunslingers that are not able to see the zeds head like a fleshpound of a boss. Then it is still probably best to hit some headshots. It's not the best but I think dealing some damage is better them waiting and have a teammate die.
@@ReapeeRon I'm confused here. Do you mean bodyshots instead of headshots? You would deal more dps with bodyshots than headshots if you can't see the targets head.
@@ZeroSumGamer I meant if you can't see the head, like it is targeting someone else it would probably be best to try to shoot the zed where ever you can to help the team out. Sorry that wasn't clear in the first comment.
New beta is live! Downloaded it but haven't played. I had a computer crash back in Jan, and for some reason my maps don't show up. Not even the normal ones. Nicely presented and well thought out guide.
Hmmmm for some reason, i don't know why i feel like gunslinger is the easiest perk for me thanks to the sheer amount of fire power it has Recoil has never been a problem for me in alot of games So when i got into this game I somehow picked Elysium and had beaten hell on earth at level 0 as gunslinger Thanks to a build that i always loved 2 years ago Maximum upgrade the desert eagle Keep the AF2011 non upgraded Almost died at round 9 thanks to 6 quarterpounds and 2 fleshpound
Fun fact , just buy 1 barrel colt 1911 And upgrade it once or twice And crawlers would become 1 shot ded Sooo try not to aim at the heads for those guys when you have a strong enough weapon to 1 tap zeds
Great video. Thanks!

Thank you so much Mark! 😀
Do the lever action guns work well on the first build
They should work with either. I like the first build for them.
Gunslinger is the most fun I've ever had. High ceiling but it's a joy to learn the curve with.
They are a very fun class!

Thanks for the heads up Barot! I will have to try it out.
Thanks for the guide. How would I find the custom map that you are playing in this game?
You can check on the steam workshop page and sort by maps.

This is the I can't aim build, no this is the meta console player build
Kinda, I use a controller when ever I play.
Eh, it’s pretty easy to hit headshots hip firing with controller tbh
