Yea but how much Money you think Spotify can make off 1,000 Streams? its like when youtube paid per View. They cant pay $1 per view when they only make $10 in ad revenue from 1000 views. 0.003 is a really good rate and Artists are lucky Stream are even counted because that shit almost didn't happen because Labels couldn't figure out how to monetize it@@paulbrown3302
it isnt the highest, apple music does $0.005- $0.007 and im pretty sure other streaming platform pays more but spotify is just more popular. but it isnt rlly that bad if u can get maybe 1-2m monthly listeners each month
it's messed up how they did joc like that. embarassing him and then recording and uploading it online like that was wrong. i can understand them doing it to edp, but joc didn't even do anything wrong like that to deserve it.
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT PRODUCERS!!!! These people dont get enough recognition! also i love you speaking about the truth of what producers go through and how they can get stuck to a label too! some people dont realize that
@LightsCameraPantssss you chose the one person that everybody was saying shouldn't even be famous. Nobody even knew why she was that famous. Looks average, 0 personality, and can't even do her job, host an interview.
@LightsCameraPantssssmaybe because when regular ppl see celebrities or rappers they put them on the high pedal them when u see them fall off as ppl say they starting making fun of them
People don’t realize when u have money life dead ass gets boring. Every day u feel like u have no purpose. A lot of them will work just to feel like they doing something ain’t nothing wrong with that

9:20 this will probably go completely unseen but speaking from personal experience HOW you promo can make or break your career (in the present moment. HELLA artists revamp and go insane). In chronological order based on a scale of respect, both public and self, you can either just share thru your own avenues and hope for organic growth through true support/good reception, pay for promo and force niggas to listen even if it’s for a second (most can’t do that, that’s why a lotta amazing songs are dead in the water) or “beg” basically throwing yo link under whatever new/popular video you see (guilty as a bih)
fall off is a ridiculous term. how about we let people do they thing for how long it lasts and give them flowers for songs you like. people be so number hungry
living where lil skies is from for a good amount of my childhood and going through what i was going through during that time, i really felt his first album and relate to the lyrics. he hasnt lost his consistency w his music at all. being independent just requires a lot more work. all these artists have the potential to get it in on their own.
The average shelf life for any artist that makes it past the first year ( lets call it the xxl year) is about 3-4 years( Thugnificant level) . After that the chances of an artist staying relevant signifcantly drop. Its hard for any artisit to make it past that hump and go into their own where now they have reached a level beyond that. Simply put becoming a rapper isnt even a good way to try and leave the hood and feed your family anymore. You are going to end up in a worst place than when you started. When you dont own any of the songs you wrote and wonder where all the money went. Also if anyone can get the reference bonus points lol
What’s wild to me is that people get a idea that just because they don’t have a song as popular out as they did before they “fell off” or something is up with them because they get hyped to their song in the club. I feel kinda bad for a lot of you young kids because you’re trying to overachieve so much and not really take the time to just enjoy what’s going on. The story with Kyle was kinda wild to me because in his mind I’m sure he moved on from I spy but that’s the song people recognize him for. What’s wrong with enjoying that moment?
“Falling off” has its own benefits if you’re smart with the money you earned, I bet hella rappers wish they could keep the riches they earned and “fall off”
Man I been listening to Kyle since ,y freshman year of high school (2014) and he’s been one of my fav artists since. Veryyy underrated song writer and singer

This why I don’t know why rappers blow up and instantly buy 2 chains for 100k and a Maybach, ide take the 10 mill and just buy a cheap place, you gotta try and touch that 10 mill as little as possible.
