These crimes typically happen at certain times of the day; anyone who uses DART a lot knows this. During work rush hours and daytime usage I do not see much of anything happening. The worse you deal with is some idiot who thinks everyone wants to inhale their cigarette smoke.
It's pretty notorious that our city has created an infastructure for people driving in cars and the pedestrians we see on our streets are homeless and people with mental health issues. These people are relying on our public transportation system to get around our city and bringing crime. If our city could reverse everything they've done and made everything more pedestrian friendly then we wouldnt be having these problems. The more people in a single area, the more the person will feel comfortable walking or taking transit to their destination safely.

Dont let a certain demographic ride the train. Crime will go down 99%.
These people don't pay for the ride and dart does not care. I have seen many times dart employees checked tickets and could not do any thing to them.
