      @@komacent7355 For large muscle groups (Chest,Back,Quads) He did 40-60 Sets, With only 30-120 seconds rest, 12-25 reps, For small muscle groups (Biceps, Triceps, Deltoideus, And also for some reason Hamstrings, I guess he wasn't big on hamstrings) he did 20-30 sets. This are only guidelines though Serge was a believer of trusting his instinct and doing what he felt like. So sometimes he would do 70+ sets and takes rest and the very rare day off when his body told him too.

    Some of the side shots of Serge Nubret during his prime were iconic and absolutely stunning. IMO, if his legs matched his incredible upper body and his back was a little wider he would've been almost unbeatable as he was genetically more gifted than Arnold.

    When Serge was alive he was on a french forum called Planetemuscle. He told us he did that (eating 4kg of meat) just once in his life, he did'nt eat that much meat daily. And his training method did not consist in a lot of long sets with light weight, but a lot of 12reps sets with a medium weight (12 reps, not to failure, with 1 minute rest, 16-30 sets/muscle 2 times a week).
    *You're gonna laugh...* He also said he was natural, and bodybuilders of his era didn't know anything about steroids, his strength came from a mystical force (he called the 3 forces in harmony). He also said a bodybuilder can be like Ronnie Coleman naturally. Lol.

    In 1976 I competed in Dan Lurie's WBBG Mr America contest which was held in New York. This contest was held with 2 other contests, the Mr. America and Mr. Olympus contest. Nubret competed in the Mr. Olympus and I can remember seeing him drink red wine as he was pumping up. When I asked someone why he drank wine as he pumped up I was told it helped bring out the vascularity while he posed. Anyway, I look back and think how lucky I was to get to see some superstars backstage as they got ready to compete.

      That's why he went into a coma and died too soon, too young. He could have lived longer and healthier. That much animal protein causes a lot of problems including inflammation and serious digestive issues.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому +1

      @Andrew McCall Jr. I'm older than Nubret was when he went into a coma and died. And my physical health is the best it's been in many years. Not long ago I could barely walk from hip pain. Now I can run a mile with no problem. I diagnosed it as inflammation caused by consuming meat. Gave it up and within a week no more pain. So yeah, I'm pretty darn smart.

    • @carpediem6568
      @carpediem6568 3 роки тому +1

      @phillyrick It's not for me to criticize. Anyone can do what they want. But eating meat is very hard on the body. Not up for debate. I was a big meat eater and junk food junkie, along with soft drinks which themselves, destroy one's immune system. I used to be sick all the time. Now, I really can't remember what a cold or a headache felt like. I try to educate. Because you have two bodies, and you can't see the inside one. Serge had an incredibly beautiful body, bulky but in just the right places, a walking work of art. But he paid a price. Hopefully, all bodybuilders go in for regular blood work. I recently had mine done and was shocked at how bad it was. Then realized I had gone on a junk food binge with a lot of meat right before the lab work. I do that once a year and happened to be at the wrong time. Actually, it was perfect because it clearly showed how serious a difference diet makes. If you are interested, do two lab tests, one where you haven't eaten meat and one on the regular. It should show a dramatic difference because blood work shows what you ate the day before. Everyone should do this to give their selves a baseline and know what you are working with.

      800 grams of pure protein would convert to roundabout 3200kcal. Considering Serge (at his lightest) weighed around 93kgs, it could most definitely be that he ate that much meat. 3,861kcal are required for maintenance. That's easily achieved if you add a ribeye or two, or simply eat some fat trimmings the butcher will pretty much throw in for almost nothing. (1.50€/kg for fat trimming of grass fed grass finished beef here in Germany, though it's literally one of the best foods you could eat)
      Google Stearic Acid Antioxidant and then google stearic acid food sources, for example. Of course the mainstream wont talk about this.

    The Linoleic Acid reference at the end is very interesting for Horsemeat/Pork as it is full of PUFAs that can be damaging to health and promote weight gain. Look up Paul Saladino. He is one of those Carnivore diet gurus that believes Saturated Fat is healthier than excess Linoleic Acids (i.e.: PUFAs). Even chicken/eggs fed a vegetarian diet of soy/corn has a high amount of PUFAs. You are what you eat. If we eat commercially raised animals not raised on pastures and fed grains they are not naturally supposed to eat, we also get fat!

    Now...I know he did steroids...but I found it astounding that he ingested huge meals ..before bed...no breakfast... no small meals thru out the day...going against the grain of all of the mainstream advice we have ever heard in regards to staying trim and not gaining fat around the waisline....Arnold spoke about gorging and bloating and stretching your stomach out...as well as many others...and yet Nubret had them all beat on abs...perfect V taper...it's incredible...also while Arnold...Franco ...and others were gobbling handfuls of supplements Serge shunned them...just multi vitamins to make up for his lack of fruit and vegetable consumption....?? this is unbelievable....!!!!....he obviously wasn't being used as a sponsor for any supplements.....Nubret achieved perfect symmetry....the listening to your body advice is awesome....thank you so much for your videos and sharing all of this eye opening info with us....

  • @carpediem6568

    Obviously, horse meat is easier on your body and the digestive process, yet gets you the protein and aninos you need. But that much protein causes leaky gut syndrome which leads to more serious health issues. The guy went into and stayed in a coma for two years. He was not young but not that old.

      The ammount of Nonsense and bullshit you write throughout this posts regardind meat is just crazy.. you have no idea what you are talking about when you talk Bout meat! We humans evolved eating meat, if it was bad we would not be here.. all the nutrients that are essential for our health are In meat and fish and those are essential amino acids and essential fats like omega 3 , the 2 most important of the 3 are in animal foods and not in vegetables

    • @bowtiedreynard9167
      @bowtiedreynard9167 3 роки тому +2

      fiber = soluble AND unsoluble plant waste products that convert into ketone-bodies. Might as well save yourself from the toilet disaster that is fiber and eat a bunch of meat/eggs/butter/beef fat etc. Google fiber betahydroxybutyrate / dietary sources betahydroxybutyrate. If you want more information go on the channel "What I've Learned" video title: "Carnivore diet" or something like this. Also UA-cam: "Paul Mason: Fibre"
