In the Netherlands we have a prime minister who has "no active recollection" of anything that happened during his 12 years in power. So mr. Sunak is a rank amateur.
Whamageddon! I have the dubious yet strangely satisfying honour of being the first person in the world to be whammed and sent to Whamhalla this year. Thanks to time zones, and living in New Zealand, and on the morning of December 1, my wife had woken up early and was scrolling through her Instagram feeds when one of the reels had the song playing. I hadn't even got out of bed!
Having an AA meeting in Weatherspoons is NOT like having a climate conference in Dubai; those attending the AA meeting could walk away with their integrity intact if they chose to do so.
This was one of the straight up funniest episodes i have seen to date. And as a member of the good ole usa i actually was able to understand the references for the most part. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant show with us. Peace Out.
Brilliant show yet again. This actually explained a few of the weird jokes from the shortened edition. Like Paul's comment about Ian Wright's coat and Ian Hislop suddenly exclaiming "ants!" for the missing word round. Makes me realise how badly cut that normal edition was!
I've stopped watching the short version. I'd rather not encourage youtubers to put out cut versions if their only purpose is to trick us into watching more of their videos. I can wait for the correct version.
@@donkeysunited the short version is the standard BBC broadcast show. The extended version is shown by the BBC a few days later. Neither have been cut by the youtubers, it's just posted as shown.

I think Paul might have been referring to the old film showing German soldiers marching back and forth to “Doing the Lambeth Walk”. It’s on UA-cam somewhere.
It was no error; he was referring to the Hitler jig. It makes more sense as a reference, given they were talking about deep fakes of celebrities, not random unnamed soldiers.

Now that Europe has lost fascination with hogwild American News; it's interesting to see this show and others settle back into their own facts and favorites; and to watch my own attention wander as so little of it has significance to me. I hadn't realized the extent to which Europe's naughty child has hogged the media limelight across the planet.
Damn! Sunak learned from the outgoing Dutch PM Rutte: I have no strong recollection / Ik heb daar geen actieve herinnering aan. Good job, Sunak! Now all you need is your cabinet to fall and your apprenticeship will be complete!
Old (ish) yank here. What is in a meat pie? I mean along with the meat. Is it like a Shepherds pie? Also, is a meat pasty like a smaller fried meat pie? That does it for this month’s deep inquiries into contemporary British comestibles.
A pie usually contains vegetables that pair well with the meat. Like steak and mushrooms. The crust is more like a thick baked crust. Like the kind you’d have on a chicken pot pie.
If you ask ai to create a picture of a person they’re always classically attractive and thin with very smooth skin. I’ll be more impressed when it can create an average looking person 🤷♀️

19:57 Cyclist, and can confirm. No regrats whatsoever, and when you get a non-polluting transport method you can skip onto the kerb too (but still give right of way to pedestrians, come on now)
In Australia we do the offshoring (as we call it) of refugees. And, like the Rawanda plan, the right wing party (Liberals) mates get over a million per year per person. It's a bit rich (Excuse the pun) that we are told we can't afford the people but we have a million or more per person...... as long as the money goes into their mates back pocket.
I still understand how we have this as one of our longest running most popular tv shows and also have Brexit and the Tories???????? Even Poirot would srtuggle to solve this one.
Paul, singing a cover of "Last Christmas" doesn't count in Whamageddon!, only the original George Michael version. Which is a good thing, considering there are, like, a billion cover versions. 🙄
Sadly, young people hoping for a strong leader who did not hold elections (in other words, fascist), is a good idea here in Canada also. I guess they missed that part in their history lessons.
