It wasn’t Buffy. Andrew made the story up just to play with Angel and Spike’s emotions for fun. After season 7, Buffy had several “decoys” around the world so bad guys couldn’t pinpoint or target her. This was one such decoy.
@ejmcguinness6875 I knew it.. I thought it was my imagination. She really was secretly in love with Spike, but I am not sure she knew it or even if she did she didn't want to admit it to herself. ❤❤

its kinda dumb how angel thinks he has no chance with buffy or anything yet, she told Angel he was her boyfriend in her heart and she said i love you and don't argue it cause the creators intended to be that way, Angel is just an ass
The way "Buffy" is dancing in the club is ridiculous, just whipping her head back and forth. We've seen her dance, that ain't it.

@valentinogal781 yup, theirs was a complex relationship. Even after Seeing Red, she still had feelings for him she couldn't explain.
