hey mike Its been awhile since I've visited your Chanel I forgot on how much I love it. the time and effort you put into your Chanel and care for your reptiles is awesome!!! loved this video keep it up👍🏻👍🏻
Another great video!! i wish i had easy access to reptile and frogs i would love to have a small vivarium! but since i live in Spain they don't have any of this! one day when i move back to the U.K i hope to get a small slice of the jungle! keep up the great videos!
+William Carey Lots of local folks in Europe that can help you out. Check out Dutch Rana!!! they have some amazing lines of frogs. They are also the creators of Dendrocare. You'll need to look into your local laws for what to keep and not to keep. Happy Frogging.
Wow, this is very different than your usual videos! I loved it, though. This was very educational to me. I always assumed dart frogs would be very high maintenance, and it's cool to be proven wrong since I am very interested in vivarium and that opens them up as an option for a herp to keep in the future.
what a great video!! I have always loved watching the dart frogs at the pet store in my town sadly that store is long gone and are not to easy to find.
No I'm in Canada lol just in a small town I would have to go out of town to find them but my bf dosent want to lison to them as I would keep them in the living room where he is most of the time haha. I do hope you do more videos are you going to do ones with your friends? Because that would be cool :)
I see small white spots in my terrarium on the dead leaves and on wood, is that ok to have in the tank with the dart frogs? I do have spring tails running around inside also, cant tell how many really.
One more question for you and thanks for the quick response, how often should I be feeding my dart frogs? I researched it and get different answers, some say everyday some say every other day even some say less. I got 2 Dendrobates Auratus turquoise & bronze and 3 Dendrobates Tinctorius powder blues.
Damn I just got a Dendrobates tinctorius 'bakhuis' and i'm already so happy with getting it, they are so unique and easy to take care of, but stunning and fascinating to observe.
great beginner frogs at joshes frogs thats were i got my blue and black reed frog. they have good beginner dart frogs and great beginner frogs. that are a great website check them out
Hi I live in the UK and my living room is around 20c how and what can i use to raise the temprature. I was told i could use a heat mat but as the tank will be rather wet im afraid that the glass may crack.
I think addictive is an understatement... Been keeping reptiles most of my life and just got into dart frogs... already bought 3 new tank for more and it's only been 2 months since I got my first, never felt this way with reptiles lol
+Kurtis Johnson that size of Vivarium is great, and is open to many suggestions. that would be great for a pair of Tinctorius, a quad of Auratus or a small group of Ranitomeya.
your vids are great I've learned alot from them I'd love to see you make a video on what you know about snakes and talk about the ones you think are the most interesting even though you don't own one yet.
Could I keep a just male tank so they don’t breed? For mint terribilis since from my research they can thrive in crickets, islopods, and springtails and the family can’t stand flies so they won’t let me keep flies but anything else is ok with them
Could I go away for the weekend or a week long vacation and be ok with the frogs at home? If so how much food should I leave in the tank before I leave?
Dart frogs and Sphaeros or Gonatodes…might work. Maybe a more hardy frog and a couple vitattus or albogularis. Might work! This is of course just me think out loud…never kept dart frogs but I've kept plenty of micro geckos. Interested in seeing if it could be done or if it has be none before.
Hello there mike! I was wondering for a tortoise, can I have its habitat in a big plastic tub like your size of enclosure that you have? And of course make it as tall as yours.
+ToxicEggs8 I highly doubt you can find a plastic tub that is 5 feet long 2 feet deep and one foot tall.... however if you can! Then yes that would be fine!
+Mike Tytula wow that's pretty cool. I'm debating between a lot of reptiles and if I want one or not. I also haven't had good experiences with retires because I had a baby leopard gecko and that died fairly quickly about a two weeks (got from petco), baby bearded dragon barely lasted two weeks or so (petco) ball python which I had for three weeks but one time I didn't want to eat, and then soon I noticed as days passed it didn't flinch once. So not so good luck and I've done tons of research on all of them too.
ToxicEggs8 I think you are buying from the wrong place man... Honestly if you have done enough research and are ready for the animal with the proper knowledge, than it was probably the terrible quality of animals carried by that petco.
awesome video, thank you for bringing us so many great videos. i'd love to see salt water tank set up and ideas video. we love you down south bud, keep it up
+Mike Tytula hey mike, does the dendrobates auratus climb at all or are they hang out on the substrate? If so what other frogs climb for a beginner like me?
I think I worded it a bit wrong, I am planning to buy dart frogs. But should I wait for the biopod comes out or just buy an exo terra or something of that kind?
Sander Smet ohhhh I read isopods haha not biopod lol! But it's up to you honestly keep in mind that the biopods are very expensive... so unless you want to drop the cash on one I would just go the for the exoterra.
Hey there Mike I am in the process of setting up my first dart frog vivarium and could really use some help as far as types of frogs that are great for beginners. I just tore down 180 gallon SPS dominant reef aquarium so I am no slouch when it comes to maintenance and what I am capable of. I need a new hobby, this is going to be it. Lol I want thumbnails my aquarium is going to be the exo terra 36"/18"/36" it's being shipped now. What are your recommendations as far as thumbnail frogs and how many in that size of an enclosure. As well as types of plants I am looking at bromeliads as well as orchids which type of orchids should I get. And where is a good place to order them I know they need to be small. Anyways any help that you're willing to offer would be appreciated. Especially as far as the plants go orchids in particular.
Theres honestly sooo much! II would just look at like glass box tropicals website and see what they are offering, most of those will do great if setup properly in a viv
Mike Tytula , it’s a 20 long with 2 layers the bottom is water like a riverbank with an undercut and the top is 70% of the surface area. If not darts any other thoughts
+Lee Reptiles Hey Lee, unfortunately we don't currently ship to USA, however there are several reputably Dart Frog Breeders that can ship to you. you can look at Josh' s frogs, and Black jungle and many more.
I love frogs and reptiles more of a snake and medium lizard person like tegus and monitors but I wanted some dart frogs and the ones I want like really bad is Dyeing Poison Dart Frog species Dendrobates tinctorius for a 100 dollars a piece but I can buy a reptile that I can hold for that much I love looking at them but I don't want to spend a lot on 1 small frog that could die
MoreChannelNoise Lighting is more for the plants than the frogs. They live on the bottom of the rainforest not much light makes it through. A nice white full spectrum led is great. Temp as low as mid 60s to about 80° mid 70s the best.
When he said don't handle them I was like wow sounds so boring then, I have an American bullfrog and she's a bad ass, not fragile at all like those little toys
I want to have them but they eat insects. I think the hard part of it is to prepare their culture food. I'm not a fan of giving living things to my pets :'(
+Mike Tytula I don't feel like to kill animals to feed another. Of course, they are a small flies but still worth for living. Tbh, I don't mean it is bad...it is ok
+Mike Tytula I don't feel like to kill animals to feed another. Of course, they are a small flies but still worth for living. Tbh, I don't mean it is bad...it is ok
hey mike Its been awhile since I've visited your Chanel I forgot on how much I love it. the time and effort you put into your Chanel and care for your reptiles is awesome!!! loved this video keep it up👍🏻👍🏻
+Hanna Stice Thanks glad to see you back :)
Great video! I am enjoying how you're uploading often.
+Bando Kim (TheBandoChannel) Thanks man! I'm Glad you watch every video!

Great interview! I remember meeting Dawn at the expo! Very nice people!
They are awesome! :) and ya she would have been there
2 days 2 videos? Best fucking days of my life!
Haha I know :)
I liked that style of video! Met Lucas at the last expo! Thanks for the awesome video!! Keep it up!
+Top Notch Reptiles They are great people! Lots of info packed up stairs haha! Thanks for watching man!
+Mike Tytula Haha, no problem!
Another great video!! i wish i had easy access to reptile and frogs i would love to have a small vivarium! but since i live in Spain they don't have any of this! one day when i move back to the U.K i hope to get a small slice of the jungle! keep up the great videos!
I'm spanish and there are a online shop... if you want the name of the shop is terribilis, there are different species of dart frogs.
+William Carey Lots of local folks in Europe that can help you out. Check out Dutch Rana!!! they have some amazing lines of frogs. They are also the creators of Dendrocare. You'll need to look into your local laws for what to keep and not to keep. Happy Frogging.
Great video Mike, I came over to watch this one as you recommended it to me :) it's made me a lot more confident with getting into dart frogs
+Harrys got geckos Good glad to hear bud!
+Mike Tytula :)
Wow, this is very different than your usual videos! I loved it, though. This was very educational to me. I always assumed dart frogs would be very high maintenance, and it's cool to be proven wrong since I am very interested in vivarium and that opens them up as an option for a herp to keep in the future.
Ya they are a bit of extra work to setup but once setup they are awesome! :)
what a great video!! I have always loved watching the dart frogs at the pet store in my town sadly that store is long gone and are not to easy to find.
+CrazyViper100 If you are in the states there are plenty of people that carry them! And ship :)
No I'm in Canada lol just in a small town I would have to go out of town to find them but my bf dosent want to lison to them as I would keep them in the living room where he is most of the time haha. I do hope you do more videos are you going to do ones with your friends? Because that would be cool :)
CrazyViper100 I will be doing some with friends yes!
when you cant hold the fart in any longer @4:30
+Jose Garcia, yes i get that- the face! XD
What do u recommend for a first dart frog I have crept other species of frogs before and I have a very big tame pet Nile monitor too
Yeah, I'm also wondering what the best first time frogs are.
www.joshsfrogs.com/frogs-for-sale/all-poison-dart-frogs/best-beginner-dart-frogs-for-sale.html that might be helpful
Most of the dendrobates are great beginner :)
have watched this once before and watching it over to learn more before I get into the whole hobby of dart frogs!!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching it again!
Hey very nice video I'm glad that you were able to get an interview! Very professional lol
+TheChameleonKeeper05 haha thanks man!
I see small white spots in my terrarium on the dead leaves and on wood, is that ok to have in the tank with the dart frogs? I do have spring tails running around inside also, cant tell how many really.
Ya that is likely fine, it honestly depends on what it is though.
They are really cool! Nice pickup man!
Great video as always, not your usual type but still great :D
Ya it was a little bit of a different one but I think it turned out well!
great beginner frogs at joshes frogs thats were i got my blue and black reed frog. they have good beginner dart frogs and great beginner frogs. that are a great website check them out
Yeah I heard they're good!
Come check out my channel if you want! I've got reptiles and am interested in amphibians as well!
Hey mike, I wanted to ask u a question, what is the coolest reptile/amphibian u have ever kept?
+Spacer uhhh honestly probably the tortoise the monitors or the L. williamsii
Hi I live in the UK and my living room is around 20c how and what can i use to raise the temprature. I was told i could use a heat mat but as the tank will be rather wet im afraid that the glass may crack.
The glass should not crack
I think addictive is an understatement... Been keeping reptiles most of my life and just got into dart frogs... already bought 3 new tank for more and it's only been 2 months since I got my first, never felt this way with reptiles lol
hahaha Oh it's a stronger draw than even reptiles haha
Amazing video mike, helped me loads , thanks so much! As always great content
+Kurtis Johnson Thanks for the continued support! :) I hope it persuaded you to get some :)
I think i would heat for a bigger species, I have a 18x18x24, any suggestions?
+Kurtis Johnson that size of Vivarium is great, and is open to many suggestions. that would be great for a pair of Tinctorius, a quad of Auratus or a small group of Ranitomeya.
Thanks!
your vids are great I've learned alot from them I'd love to see you make a video on what you know about snakes and talk about the ones you think are the most interesting even though you don't own one yet.
+Kannon Mckinster In the future I will have some videos on snakes but not really any time soon! I gotta focus on what I have haha
Here in the nerherlands we have really clean tap water can it be used for the misting
The tap water is also what i used tot fill my aquarium
That would be pretty awesome!
Could I keep a just male tank so they don’t breed? For mint terribilis since from my research they can thrive in crickets, islopods, and springtails and the family can’t stand flies so they won’t let me keep flies but anything else is ok with them
Unless you get an adult they require crickets for quite a while
Mike Tytula so they would be fine if I fed them crickets? Correct?
Could I go away for the weekend or a week long vacation and be ok with the frogs at home? If so how much food should I leave in the tank before I leave?
Ya just leave a bunch in the tank the morning you leave!
Thanks! How much exactly would "a bunch" be? I want to make sure they would be perfectly safe!
william hutchby Idk I find it hard to believe you would count each fly, so I mean like 2x's what you normally do?
Great vid, loving the frequent vids lately
+John adams Glad you enjoy it man!
Hey man... love the videos... have you ever thought about keeping sea horses because I think that would be a fun project
+Christian Devers I think sea horses are cool but I just don't have the time or the money to sink into something like that.
What size are the tanks they have in the background?
Dart frogs and Sphaeros or Gonatodes…might work. Maybe a more hardy frog and a couple vitattus or albogularis. Might work!
This is of course just me think out loud…never kept dart frogs but I've kept plenty of micro geckos. Interested in seeing if it could be done or if it has be none before.
nice video man also nice camera shots on the frogs and the tanks
+Fire Dragon Reptiles Thanks It wasn't my camera but I might upgrade in the future
ohh i thought it was but hopefully u do for better viewing purposes
Fire Dragon Reptiles In the end I will be upgrading just have to find the right camera!
nice hope it works out man
Fire Dragon Reptiles Me too!
Great video it really help me understand dart frogs more.
+Jaquan Carter I'm glad you took the time to watch them!
+Mike Tytula alright thanks and how much did you spend alone buy just building your own, just like the box nothing in it.
ToxicEggs8 I think I spent on the cage itself...50$ max.
+Mike Tytula wow that's pretty cool. I'm debating between a lot of reptiles and if I want one or not. I also haven't had good experiences with retires because I had a baby leopard gecko and that died fairly quickly about a two weeks (got from petco), baby bearded dragon barely lasted two weeks or so (petco) ball python which I had for three weeks but one time I didn't want to eat, and then soon I noticed as days passed it didn't flinch once. awesome video,
thank you for bringing us so many great videos.
i'd love to see salt water tank set up and ideas video. we love you down south bud,
keep it up
+Nathan D. Tanner Thanks man! And ya I will hopefully make a saltwater video with some of the footage I got!
what type of frog is whistling in the background?
Ameegera basseleri I'm pretty sure
Very Informative,thanks mike!
+Kelsey Bordeaux Awesome! Glad you enjoyed!
+Mike Tytula hey mike, does the dendrobates auratus climb at all or are they hang out on the substrate? If so what other frogs climb for a beginner like me?
Ethan Mietzner mostly substrate, and pretty much the thumbnails are the one that climb
Is it fine to keep different species of dart frogs together?
I would say probably not the best idea!
Mike Tytula ok
very cool video,it helps a lot if i want some
I know it's a great per
nice video ! I think that i might make my 24"x18"x18" into a dart frog vivarium haha
Do it man!
RO water or Distilled? Which one is better?
Basically the same result
I really want some frogs right now, will definitely get some in the future. also sweet video mike
Do it! they are awesome!
Mike Tytula I will, Just not right now, maybe when I'm a little older. Haha
Kapurtakis Sweet
Should I wait untill biopods come out to buy dart frogs or do it now?
No you want them in your tank at least a couple weeks in advance.
I think I worded it a bit wrong, I am planning to buy dart frogs. But should I wait for the biopod comes out or just buy an exo terra or something of that kind?
Sander Smet ohhhh I read isopods haha not biopod lol! But it's up to you honestly keep in mind that the biopods are very expensive... so unless you want to drop the cash on one I would just go the for the exoterra.
great video as always ☆☆☆ and very educational
Thanks glad you enjoyed!

+Nintendobro324 Thanks Bro. Glad you enjoyed them.
Wow. Lucky. Did they invite u or did u ask. Great video and those people really know what there talking about

+Austin Burton They are awesome! :) I would give it a try for sure!
Hey there Mike I am in the process of setting up my first dart frog vivarium and could really use some help as far as types of frogs that are great for beginners. Anyways any help that you're willing to offer would be appreciated. Especially as far as the plants go orchids in particular.
You could do like 6 or so maybe 8. There are way to many out there, just look them up and see which one you like the most.
Ok thanks man what about the orchids? Which type will do best.. I appreciate the quick reply
Theres honestly sooo much! II would just look at like glass box tropicals website and see what they are offering, most of those will do great if setup properly in a viv
Can I keep a bumble bee dart frog in a 10 gallon??
If it is one, and it is a vertical setup then yes, if it is more than one, and it sits like a normal 10 gal, then I would say no.
your making it big finally!!!
+Spencer Ethridge haha what does that mean? Like why do you say that?
+Mike Tytula you got people in a store to like help u make a vid. It's a step into "making it big"
Spencer Ethridge Thanks man! haha it's in their basement..., but I agree!
Can they live in a paludarium with a 4” deep water feature?
How big is the tank itself?
Mike Tytula , it’s a 20 long with 2 layers the bottom is water like a riverbank with an undercut and the top is 70% of the surface area. If not darts any other thoughts
Theres not enough height for them in a 20 gal with a 4" water section
Mike Tytula is there any other small frogs that might fit into this setup
Awesome really informative thanks for the great video
Thanks for watching :)
+Mike Tytula no problem
Hii,
can you recommend any online website that can ship frogs and acessories internationally (mainly to India)???
+Anand K hahaha I have no idea!
Hello! I have been wanting a frog for a while now and decided I want a dart frog..can someone tell me everything I need to take care of them?
+Mitchel Meyer Dude I think you can do your own research

+Mike Tytula wow nice channel. Very nice
Mitchel Meyer Thanks man

cheers
Mathias
+mathias priegnitz Glad you enjoyed buddy! :)
Is it OK to only feed isopods to daet frogs?
Dart*
+Mc Lothy Mc Slothy Log I don't recommend it no.
is it messed up to sell my crested gecko that ive had for 3 months for dart frogs?
I mean I will leave that judgement to yourself
Mike Tytula what would you do?
Malik024 I mean it really depends on what you want.
Mike Tytula I just don't really see him move except from when I handle him
Malik024 If you don't enjoy it, change it haha
Whot frog is Colling in the video. Amazing Video supper helpfull

I'm not sure, I think the Ameegra
do they ship too the states?
+Lee Reptiles uhhh I don't think so but you can send them an email I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer you for sure!
+Lee Reptiles Hey Lee, unfortunately we don't currently ship to USA, however there are several reputably Dart Frog Breeders that can ship to you. you can look at Josh' s frogs, and Black jungle and many more.
Jungle Jewel Exotics hahahaha look at that they saw the comment at the same time I did as well!
That's it, I'm going to get a terrarium and get some frogs in my life
Do it! They are so much fun!
I cant put a pic up but you inspired me to get a chameleon and she is gorgeous
+Fishin Game That's awesome! I hope you like her :)
+Mike Tytula I love her she already changed colors on her spots and belly
awesome vid!!!!
Thanks man!
Good video
Y do dart frogs cost so much I wanted to get a few but there all 60 and up I live in the US
That's a pretty good price... And not that expensive
+Rabbit Gunner if you want some thing cheaper get mantellas they are basicly dart frogs but a bit cheaper.
Squeegie Reptiles That's a good suggestion!
Mike Tytula thx
I love frogs and reptiles more of a snake and medium lizard person like tegus and monitors but I wanted some dart frogs and the ones I want like really bad is Dyeing Poison Dart Frog species Dendrobates tinctorius for a 100 dollars a piece but I can buy a reptile that I can hold for that much I love looking at them but I don't want to spend a lot on 1 small frog that could die
very good video
+Danny Batres Thanks man!
Good Work :)
that was the best ever🐋🐋
+Jack Bilsborrow Glad you enjoyed!
lighting and heating?!
MoreChannelNoise
Lighting is more for the plants than the frogs. They live on the bottom of the rainforest not much light makes it through. A nice white full spectrum led is great. Temp as low as mid 60s to about 80° mid 70s the best.
Plenty of light makes it through the canopy of the rainforest haha.
Very educational, but what the hell happened during editing?
Dawn said uhhh after every single word... so hopefully I will go back soon and do a video with them again :)
When he said don't handle them I was like wow sounds so boring then, I have an American bullfrog and she's a bad ass, not fragile at all like those little toys
I got a crested gecko and a Pac man frog
+Jamie O Sullivan nice man they are both very cool!
+Mike Tytula yeah
I want to have them but they eat insects. I think the hard part of it is to prepare their culture food. I'm not a fan of giving living things to my pets :'(
+Wasurat Suwattanadeja Why??
+Mike Tytula I don't feel like to kill animals to feed another. Of course, they are a small flies but still worth for living. Tbh, I don't mean it is bad...it is ok
+Mike Tytula I don't feel like to kill animals to feed another. Of course, they are a small flies but still worth for living. Tbh, I don't mean it is bad...it is ok
mate good video but try to take interest on the topic you look like you got detention.
hahaha that was the end of 5 hours spent at their house I was just tired haha
I hate the belgian white commercials that i see every time i click on one of your vids
Haha I don't make the ads sorry man
fuck i only got second :c
first
Nice! Very informative!
+Peridot Glad you enjoyed man!
