Honestly, the problem here is that both the player and the enemy are moving which makes a few interesting issues that that 3D Touhou EOSD doesn’t face. 1) The Danmaku has to be fired relative to the player’s speed, otherwise the player won’t have time to dodge. 2) The bullets are 3D objects, but I tried making them close to how the bullets in Touhou look, just cause. 3) The bullets move in a weird trajectory where they’d appear to not rotate when they should, something something doppler effect is a dumb thing, so I have to have to rotate the bullet models relative to the player, which is noticeable, but I found you can get used to it. If you fly straight, the bullets travel where they are facing. Now the other issues I’m having: - Models and environment art. I’m no terrain artist, environment artist, nor 3D artist. I’m learning but it’s definitely not my area. - Music: I am not ZUN. The track “Flying Metal Fox Girl” felt like a fluke as I had worked on Sachi’s theme for years. I will definitely not take years on this game, as I want to have something to show for myself. It is stressful trying to make something perfect, so I’m just making it as good as I can. Can’t go wrong with passion!~ But I’m definitely working on it for at least another college semester maybe. I want to turn it into a series where I can improve with new ideas every time.
